Hi guys,
I hate to have to ask for help, but i've exhausted the limits of my knowledge and googling ability, and ive started my own thread but nobody has been able to help so far, so i thought id ask a in this thread to see if anyone has any thoughts on my problem.
I am mining with my main Nvidia graphics card fine (windows 7, guiminer, slushs pool (stratum) and eligius) and i thought id pop my old gpu in and use that concurrently (GeForce 6800).
Firstly windows detected it, but guiminer didnt show it, so i updated drivers and still it didnt show. So after googling/reading on forums i found you need a dummy plug or actual output connected. So i run a second monitor through the 6800, its working fine, but it still doesnt show up on guiminer after system resets, updates, i've tried phoenix, and opencl miner (through latest guiminer update) and still nothing. I have found the card on bitcoin compatibility lists, so that should be ok. I'm completely stumped.
I have also tried it with another graphics card, and the same thing happens, both works perfect, but the secondary card will never show up in guiminer. I have tried opening a second instance of the programme.
Its a long shot somebody can help me, but you don't ask, you don't get. Thanks in advance.

Hi there,
Thanks for your suggestion, unfortunately it doesnt matter how many instances of guiminer i run, it never shows the second card. No matter which card is the primary and secondary. So confused >_<
Thanks anyway : )

Second time of asking. Plenty of views but no replies. Nobody have any idea? I'm now running my second monitor through an ATI card and its working fine, but yet again, it doesnt show up in guiminer ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif)

I'm very confused as to why a senior member with nearly 300 posts is asking the most basic question possible?

I think it probably is running you just cannot see it. Does it appear in your task manager? If so try this tip. Click on guiminer so it is the open window and press alt and spacebar, does a drop down list appear top left? If so press M to make it moveable, and then drop it in the middle of your screen. There are hundreds of people online selling bitcoin for paypal, liberty reserve and WMZ. Simple enough to check their credibility.

The most annoying thing about this newbie restriction, is that ive spend countless hours on this website, but because i wasnt registered, and even though now i am my vpn changes my ip every 5 minutes, so almost none of the time ive been here has counted, lol.

I am a professional forex trader, and spend my life reading financial news. Rarely (if ever) is bitcoin mentioned among the upper financial echolons, hedge funds, central banks, etc, but that does seem to be changing. This article came up just an hour ago: http://www.fxstreet.com/news/forex-news/article.aspx?storyid=5563c5e7-c344-4b98-8eef-17e5727e0b18Seems even the FX analysts are talking about our beloved bitcoin now. If anyone is interested in forex trading by the way this is the best trading platform, and has shared signals from thousands of professional traders http://forexclockwork.zulutrade.com/ and the site i linked to earlier is the best for economic and fx news updates (in my experience)

I think its perfectly understandable, same on any good forum.
I love your sig btw.

It's highly annoying, I agree. But there isn't a better way to slow scammers turning around and opening another account and trying to scam a new generation of noobs.
Hopefully you stay around long enough to get in the forums. :/
Can you think of a better way around the problem? [/quote]
