7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin hit 1 trillion dollars marketcap on: March 15, 2021, 06:58:45 AM
Marketcap is not so important in general. Price per unit is more important in crypto industry
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My Little Experience with USDT - TRC20 on: December 22, 2020, 12:33:22 PM
But I remember when USDT-ERC20 first appeared, its withdrawal fee was only 1 $, so I don't know if USDT-TRC20 will increase its fees like that later.
I don't think so, because TRC20 does not use gas like ETH, but maybe there will be changes if there is an update that requires sending USDT on TRC20 network using transaction fees, it is very difficult to make predictions in crypto because the development is so fast.
Thats true, and moreover a lot of dev teams are really afraid to give any hints about their upcoming updates - it may be simply stolen by competitors.
You can check out road map of a project, but we all know any project can add any updates in between the lines.
9  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: OWNR wallet. Buy, exchange and store crypto. Licensed service. on: December 22, 2020, 12:30:43 PM
Haven't checked your updates for a while and its quite outstanding what you did in the span of last couple months.
I have a couple questions about your new card - Is it for 4 years? Is there an estimated delivery time?
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Yet another Defi platform got hacked again on: November 15, 2020, 05:29:14 AM
So lately there's one of DeFi platforms (Akropolis) that has admitted they got hacked (over 2 million in DAI) through a flash loan attack recently.

Previously there are several DeFi got the flash loan attack as well such as Harvest finance and bZx.
What's your thought about it? Does DeFi are too vulnerable to be attacked?
Its sad to see more DeFi services being hacked here and there, but its really not as bad as we think of it.
For instance here are some statistics about bank cyber crimes statistics , and that does not include real bank robberies.
So compared to banking system - crypto is relatively safe.
But it may feel like the opposite because we know about basically any big hacking activity in crypto market thanks to transparency of the system.
Which is not the case in banking system
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My Little Experience with USDT - TRC20 on: October 25, 2020, 03:44:14 PM
I have been using the TRC20 USDT instead of ERC20 USDT since the end of last year. If you are seeing the fees has shown zero and it's caused by the fees that have already applied in the tron blockchain is very very small. I will not use the ERC20 USDT again and it looks like more and more exchange sites have supported the TRC20 USDT.

We just need only less than 10 cents to send USDT. that doesn't matter how much quantity of the transaction.
Could you help me understand how is it possible?
Afaik USDT works on ethereum blockchain, so they fees should be equal.
And what services do support trc anyway?
12  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 15,000 restaurants in France start accepting bitcoin payments through Just Eat!! on: September 18, 2020, 02:42:01 PM
It is clear that this progress must be appreciated because it contributes to the convenience that may be related to existing facilities and bitcoin also helps to make it easy for bitcoin holders to enjoy these conveniences.
I hope this news will have a good impact and many will begin to follow because every facility must be supported for the common interest.
Its quite hard to disagree with this point - its most certainly is good for bitcoin and its users.
However, I have to admit, the existing bitcoin payment system is so inconvenient, miles away from credit card payments.
We all are cheerish because its huge step for bitcoin, but from a regular person's perspective its still hardly usable - long road ahead, thats my point.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: The freer the market, the freer the people? on: September 09, 2020, 05:28:18 AM
The freer the market, the freer the people
In my opinion, if you leave the market free, both good and bad things will happen, but I think that most of them will be bad.
I do believe that if market will be free - a lot of mistakes will be made, however after some time most of people will understand what they need to do in order to use free market without being scammed/losing own funds.
But until market is free most of our society won't even bother themselves to learn such things.
Thus being said - freer the market, freer the people. Sounds delightful, but in reality free market would be hard to live with.
14  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you use a VPN? on: August 25, 2020, 04:20:33 PM
So I'm interested if people use VPNs and if so, which ones. Last week I decided that I need to get one. Did some research and right now I'm thinking between Surfshark, Vypr, TunnelBear. I'm particularly interested in surfshark more as it seems there's a lot of positive vibe around them on the web.
on a daily basis I use nordvpn which provides decent service for its payment. And I don't see a big difference between one and other - its just a coincidence I started to use this particular one.
if I need to reach some resource which is for some reason is not reachable for me I use random in-browser free vpn, hoxx is a good one, but I don't see much difference between them either.
I also use free betternet one on my iphone
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone trading Stellar coin? on: August 15, 2020, 07:47:21 AM
For a long time Stellar has performed well with crypto before even knowing other coins. I have known Stellar until now. Indeed, some experts have predicted a few months ago about the upcoming XLM price. They have ensured that XLM will be able to rise again this year and now. also there has not been a good increase but I believe in Stellar will return profits for those who invest.
Fast forward 7-8 months - you were right mate, it doubled its value and went even over it.
Xlm is a good choice for people who are disappointed in Xrp or other "low" value coins
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Day Trading or Long-term Hodl? on: August 02, 2020, 05:57:04 AM
There is nothing about the process that hinders you from doing both, especially given long term doesn't consume that much time relative to the holding period(s)
Brilliant stuff, I do think the same. But it took me several years before realizing I don't have to choose one/switch between those two.
So if you do both it comes a lot more natural, because you can sort of process each coin independently and choose right strategy
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe in crypto ratings? on: August 01, 2020, 05:20:44 AM
Try to think positively, maybe the two rating sites have different criteria for assessing cryptocurrency. If you try to think negatively then the possibility of the rating site is paid for the rating with a good value crypto that pays them. I don't really trust rating sites and only take relevant information and try to conclude it myself. As we know that we do not know what criteria they take to value coins, there is not even a concrete calculation they give to value coins.
That is a great thought. I've always wondered why those rating sites do not share any info on how their calculations work, where do they get their info and etc etc.
This could help trust them a lot

Nice update you have here, I've never seen this kind of approach to eos wallet, good job
The UI and UX are nice, everything looks fancy. I hope everything will work as fine as it looks
19  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are ghosts real? :o on: August 01, 2020, 05:18:06 AM
What about all those spirits we hear about? I mean the ones people do exorcism to?
On the other hand, besides all the stories, I don't believe in ghosts, etc. However, after reading The Master and Margarita, I was afraid of meeting Behemoth and Azazello in the darkness Grin
Ghosts are the souls of real people, Behemoth and Azazello are demons so its a bit different story
I also would more likely to believe in demons rather than ghosts
20  Other / Off-topic / Re: Stocks For Passive Income on: July 26, 2020, 08:05:34 PM
Hi guys! So I used to see stock trading as a side thing, not realizing how effective it is up until i heard you can actually make six figure profit outta of it. and i kinda need advice on stock for passive Income.
Basically you need to grow your portfolio until you can easily get profit out of it and it won't hurt you to grow it further. For example, if you need like $2000 per month to live comfortable - make sure that your profits/dividends are above $2000 per month.
There is no other way around it - it is what it is
