Hi everyone This a complete guide to make it as easy as possible for a beginner to start mining Monero (XMR) with almost any CPU (not too old: post 2008), using XMR-Stak-CPU miner application. This guide is intended for Windows 10, but it will also really help anyone on Windows 7 or 8. https://www.usxmrpool.com/#easy_mining_guideI really hope this will help people who are at the beginning or their crypto experience, and want to give a shit at mining without investing in a full rig. Questions and comments welcome!

Major Updates Announcement
During the past week, we made several big updates on the pool. We are more than ready for more miners to join us! If you have any question, don't hesitate to contact us.
1. SSL/TLS mining for Claymore's miner 2. Brand new server with more than twice the CPU power 3. We accept shares from miners every 30 seconds instead of the default 100 4. Improved Monero daemon for more pool efficiency 5. Our fees are still very low at .4%
Again, thanks for mining with us!

Hi everyone Our small pool ( https://www.usxmrpool.com) will be two weeks old in 24 hours. We have mined 7 blocks, which we think is great for a pool that is just starting. We're very happy, and thanks to everyone who is mining or has mined with us. Tonight we have updated our monerod daemon to an improved version for pool efficiency (thanks to https://github.com/moneromooo-monero). We've also made other configuration tweaking, and operating system updates as usual. Now we're hoping for a bit more luck! Finally: don't forget to spread your hashing power over the network. Our server can handle much more traffic, so we'll be happy to have you with us. If not, try to join some other small pool!

I would even say: more than ever. With the last fork that brought RingCT, Monero is most probably the most anonymous and trustless crypto out there.

Hey guys! A little report from https://www.usxmrpool.com. We've been online for 6 days now, and have found two blocks: one before, and one after the fork. All payments went smoothly and we're very happy with that. We were lucky enough to have a guy with a 35 KH/s rig give us a hand, but he's gone mining somewhere else now (probably helping some other small pool). Spreading hashing power over many pools is very important for the Monero ecosystem, and to help find new miners ready to try our pool, we decided to lower our fees to 0.4%, just to cover payment transaction fees. If you're mining on the USA or Canada West Coast, please give us a try. We've got excellent ping times from British-Columbia to southern California. In any case: think about trying a small pool near you. Thanks for reading!

Hi everyone! I'm the co-owner of US West Coast located mining pool US XMR Pool: https://www.usxmrpool.com. In our first 5 or 6 days of existence, we were pretty lucky to have a guy with a 35 kH/s rig with us, and we thank him for mining with us for a while. He helped us (a lot) finding our two first blocks: one before the fork, and one after. Payments went smoothly, and we're very happy with the results so far. Now I know many people are mining for long term profit, and I'm not looking for charity here. I totally knew that starting a pool would probably mean paying for maintaining it alive for a long time. But lately, many users have talked a lot about the importance of spreading hashing power over the network and smaller pools. So I thought I'd give it a shot, and ask if a couple of users would be willing to give us a new boost. As you probably know, only a couple of users can make a pool find 1 or 2 blocks a day, and that really helps bringing more small players, and thus succeed in spreading the hashing, and help another small pool live. To be honest, my goal with this pool isn't to make millions, it's to support the network, and improve my knowledge as a software developer and part-time IT guy. We have excellent ping times from British Columbia to southern California. By the way, I'm open to feature requests. :-D Thanks a lot for reading and long live Monero! **** EDIT **** Just wanted to add that we decided to lower our fees to 0.4%, just to cover payment transactions fees. We hope to see you soon!

Hello everyone! I'm the co-owner of usxmrpool.com, the first (we think) pool on the US West Coast. We're in Seattle so miners in western Canada will have a good ping time too. We are ready for the next hard fork.We were a bit lucky to find out first block yesterday, after 2.5 days only. Our fees are currently at 1.2%, and we really hope to lower them as soon our fees are covered. Our minimum payout is 0.3 XMR with a domination unit of 0.01 XMR. Thanks for joining if you do, but any case, don't forget to spread your hashes!

Hello there! Pool co-owner here.
I'd like to add that miners in western Canada (British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, etc.) will also have an excellent ping time to our pool. Also, we're fully ready for the upcoming hard fork.
Thanks a lot for mining with us!

Hi! Pool co-owner here.
I'd like to add that people in Canada (British Columbia, Alberta, etc.) should have an excellent ping time to our pool to.
Thanks for joining us!

Got two R9 390 cards here (latest AMD drivers).
I went from ~70-82 (total) to ~92-95 sols/s. Nice improvement.
Thanks a lot @claymore !

Before network will be absolutely stable for a few days it is not good if users will use their wallets because of possible blockchain splits and rollbacks.
Do you mean that I should not open my wallet at all? If yes, it's too late, and that would totally suck if I were to loose everything I have mined. Please confirm. Thanks again for your work and time!

GorillaPool started autopayments.I had to move pool funds to other wallet. Looks like there is some bug in XCI simplewallet that allow it to store already spend inputs. Reset not helps. When i moved my funds to other wallet everything is working good. Hope will not see that issue again.
Thanks a lot for your good work and your time! I can confirm that I have received all payments I'm aware of. I'm not 100% sure about the payment that was in the first block that failed 2 days ago, but I can totally live that. :-) Good job to you also master developer! :-D Let's hope this project goes far in the near future!

Ok, running good now! Thanks for the good work!
GorillaPool : all stats are gone for my wallet address. Any idea why? Reddis flush?

Delete your .xcicoin folder and after that execute the daemon with --add-exclusive-node 104.131.137.173 (this node is from the developer)
But as long as the ip that i posted continues the daemon then the blockchain always will try to re organize all those blocks that he has found. also the developer can blacklist this ip and after some days that blockchain reach this block will continue normally...
The only thing that i don't understand is why the daemon recognize those blocks. This means that in the future we will have the same situation.
Thanks! Just did this and now I'm stuck at block 2588 with the follow messages coming back over and over again: 14:16:10.677017 INFO [86.135.18.143:50794 INC] Sync data returned unknown top block: 2607 -> Question: is it even possible to mine right now? Is anyone's pool running? I guess I can't mine solo if my blockchain isn't synchronized. Sometimes, I see: You are now synchronized with the network. You may now start simplewallet. But a second or two after that, I "get back" at: The daemon will start synchronizing with the network. It may take up to several hours. I don't really understand what's happening here. Sometimes, I'm back 22 blocks behind, sometimes, MAGIC: and I'm only 2 blocks behind. I'd like to better understand... thanks!

Is it possible to synchronize the blockchain right now? If yes, what flags do you use when starting xcicoind?
Thanks you!

For what I understand from the logs, and believe me, I have no experience in this type of project, only experience in software development, it seems like some blocks contained transactions with too many inputs. Again from the logs, it seems to me like the devs made some adjustments about a day ago, from accepting 49 to 275 inputs per transaction. By the way, I have almost no clue of what a transaction input is exactly.
The first transaction with "too many inputs" I saw on the blockchain wasn't from atithasos' pool, it was from GorillaPool. I was mining at that pool, and it happens that this transaction contains a paiement to my wallet. I'm 100% sure of that. I wrote about it in a previous post.
I know I'm probably not helping much, but I wanted to let you know about of my observations.

That is a minor issue, will disappear. Now it seems we are ok and going smoothly again ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Block 2535 is a good one. Hi again, and thanks for the feedback. 2 hours later, my deamon is still stuck at block 2535 (with the same message as my previous post repeating over and over). But I just noticed this problem, which I guess is why I'm stuck. Hi there! XCI blockchain is VERY young, so we may expect problems for the very first week. Now we have a problem at height 2532. Hi guys. Been mining since yesterday with success. until now.
xcicoind has stopped syncing and seems to be stuck. I get this error message (from the log file):
21:56:55.187377 INFO Wrong index in transaction inputs: 50, expected maximum 49 21:56:55.187593 INFO Failed to get output keys for tx with amount = 0.00005000 and count indexes 2 21:56:55.187700 INFO Failed to check ring signature for tx <3189ee22916151f5039c6c6ee54b904b35f01edc279e1ff2f8bcc8d842002dd2>
This transaction include a payment to my wallet from a pool I'm mining at.
Anybody has any clue on what this is? Can I do anything for it?
Thanks a lot for you help!
Just so you guys know, I just pulled the latest version from the Git repo, cleared all local data (.xcicoind folder), recompiled the whole thing, but i get the same error. I'm on Ubuntu 14.04.
