1  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your best investment strategy? on: October 28, 2016, 02:56:24 AM
According to my experience, the best investment strategy right now is to hold a lot of bitcoin in your pocket. Why ? bitcoin price is currently increasing day by day. I think Its price must reach at least 1000$ at the end of this year. So if you have 10BTC in your wallet ( about 6500$), 3 months later, you will earn another 3500$. This is my strategy, you can follow it if you want

This is what you need to do here.

If you don't have a lot of money. Use the rounding up strategy and slowly buy small chunks at a time.

I think he is spot on that Bitcoin at one point will test previous all time highs, in this case $1000 or little more. That is a 40% RIO from today's price in short term based on current tendencies.

The key is that Bitcoin is highly speculative.

Remember that.

Only invest money you can afford to lose completely. Yes, I am serious.

Don't trade it! or invest it! You will lose it all.

Please follow some of the advice here, store it. Hold it. Open a Coinbase where you can trade it to fiat right away.

For such a small about like 0.25B I would just hold it forever. If it gets to $0 so be it. If it gets to $10,000 thanks me later.

Oh I see hehe

I have this image of my writing down the encryption password on a wall stud around the house haha

OK, yes, I guess i went too far regarding having copies of the wallet anywhere but I do get the point.

Thanks!

Ok, so basically the best method is a desktop wallet. Then make copies of your wallet (encrypted) and saved them on your email, or your cloud.

Technically this encrytpted wallet could be floating around right? because it cannot be decrypted.

So maybe this is the way to go.

Thanks!

The best way to invest in Bitcoin, is to be in Bitcoin: The price is directly related to demand (among other things). The more demand, the higher the price Bitcoin may reach.

My view: I would prefer a stable coin rather than one that goes like a bubble but I (we) are such little fishes in this big ocean that we can't make any difference int he price.

Lately, The price of bitcoin has steadily gone up and the analysis shows it has room to grow.

Here is My opinion:

1. Save your coins.
2. Buy BTC anytime it drops below $500.
3. Use BTC in a zero-sum fashion (i.e. Use 0.5B buy 0.5B)

For me, it is buying something good when it has become stupidly cheap.

Examples:
Bitcoin at 200s recently.
Apple stock at $92 recently.

What I am in now?
Bitcoin
Apple
Oil and Gas

I missed a few opportunities with Silver and Gold. But I don't see myself holding gold or silver bars at home. And I don't trust any of the ETFs or ETNs out there.

I have had my share of black eyes in the market but I'm doing very well ROI.

And, research... yes boring right... but read, and stay away from too much excitement and screaming in the market.

Thanks Smiley I wasn't aware of those desktop wallets. How about loosing your pc, hard disk or even hacking the pc?

Coinbase seemed pretty secure right? so is blockchain.. other than you don't control the keys. But otherwise a good cloud solution?

Hi,

So I have been using Blockchain as my wallet and Coinbase to buy some btc. I sent btc back and forth for payments etc. I have been out of bitcoin for a little while now. Are there any other real/trusted/reputable wallets?

Thanks!
