I'm also keeping my coins in Electrum wallet but not yet claim my BCC. As per Electrum wallet site they are suggesting below 4 steps to follow to claim ( https://electrum.org/bcc2.txt). These instructions work fine.

Note that the shares on BTCT (specifically TAT.ASICMINER) are pass-throughs, not the direct shares. Wish I'd bought some though, trading in them has now been suspended.
EDIT: trading has been suspended because the issuer plans to transfer them to another exchange. Great news.

Network Hash Rate = 450 Th/s Mine Hash Rate = 50 Th/s 50 * 100 / 450 = 11.11%
Blocks/Round = 2016 Bitcoin/Block = 25 BTC Bitcoin/Round = 2016 * 25 = 50,400 BTC
50,400 * 11.11% = 5,599.44 BTC 5,599.44 BTC / 10,000,000 shares = 0.00055994 BTC per share per round.
So, even if Labcoin had 50 Th/s right now, divs (twice a week) from mining would be about 0.00013 BTC.
Or about 0.00028 per week. 80% of that is 0.000223976 per week, which is about 9% of share price of 0.00248 ... per week

This investment does not seem like a good idea at the moment. I have hopes for his implementation of ASIC but I'm holding on investing any more until I see some progress in that area.
In other words: it may take a long time to get any return on any investment made now.

First of all, I want to thank the eight people who tried out this pool. I've learnt a lot from it and have some comments which I will pass on to the community in a following post. I'm sorry the pool failed to reward you with the coins which it should have done. SmallChange is a research coin and my pool was experimental but I still feel guilty about the rewards. I do not intend to take the code of the pool web site any further so I am not inclined to spend a huge amount of effort in working out how many research coins I owe you. So I am taking a simple approach which will err on the side of generosity. There were a total of 46,565 shares generated (the vast majority by myself). Some of these contributed to a block being produced for the pool, the majority didnt. The pool earned 552 coins. Thats 0.01185440 coins per share. Quadruple it, that's 0.04741760 coins per share. For those accounts which have a payout address configured, I will transfer this amount to the address. For those accounts which dont, I have put the website back up and if you want them, register a payout address within the next week and I will transfer the coins. I am ignoring all previous payouts. Once again, thank you for trying the pool out. Ota

I've taken it offline. It's not calculating rewards properly. I'm working on it.

Nice! I've seen many pools with the same design, where are the sources from? I'd be curious to see how it works.
I shamelessly got the sources from http://fc.dontmine.me/. I've added links to the footer of the pages to the sources. SmallChange Pool Based on smallchange, pushpoold and mmcfe modified by Greedi & g2x3k

OK, here it is. First, some disclaimers: I'm new to bitcoin et al. I have not run a pool before. I would not trust this pool with anything that is worth real money (e.g. BTC, LTC). I've been going through the web site code and it's horrific. I don't mean to offend the original author, but it just is. Lot's of respect to paul21 for running *.dontmine.me so well. Ota's Experimental SmallChange Pool - http://sc.cascharia.com/It's a pretty standard pool, shouldnt need much explanation. Please do give me feedback, I will act on it as fast as I can. EDIT: Stats are not working, thats next on my list. EDIT2: Stats fixed. Turned out to be a minor fix.

I'm almost there with a pool. The website just needs a lot of work (hard-coded 50 BTC rewards in the code, etc) and I have very little time atm.

dynamic difficulty retarget seems a given. what about dynamic rewards? it sounds like a terrible idea... i believe liquidcoin made an attempt at it, but hear me out a sec. dynamic rewards plus dynamic difficulty would allow you to tune for a specific number of coins a day, regardless of network has rate. that seems like a reasonable way to control inflation.
Interesting but isn't this duplication? Isn't the purpose of difficulty to control the speed at which reward coins are distributed? Or are there other advantages too?
