I've supposedly made a withdrawal. Let's see how long it takes to get a cheque. The website states you can withdraw a max. of $1,000 per day; however, they only process requests twice a week, so you can't get close to that. EXTREMELY LAME AND UNACCEPTABLE.

Anybody had trouble withdrawing funds via USPS on CampBX? I'm having a little trouble. Their helpdesk was not very helpful.

Well, BTC China finally got in touch with me. I have to say, they were very professional. I was expecting someone who had difficulty with the English language, but I got someone who seemed to be American-educated. Perfect American accent. So it took some time to get help, but once I got it I was impressed.

I opened an account with BTC China, and sent a good chunk of BTC to the account. Then, when I tried to do something with it, the website asked me for my trade password. Trouble is, I never was asked to make up a trade password (that I recall). So my funds are sitting there, stuck in my account. Can't trade, can't get them out. The Support, so far, has been completely useless. I tried emailing, and tried the webchat. Nothing.
Has anyone had success dealing with support at BTC China?

12 hours later, it's made it to the Blockchain!

I withdrew BTC from my Mt. Gox account more than 8 hours ago, and the transaction has yet to appear on the blockchain. Here's the lame response I got from Gox when I complained: Hello,
Thank you for the email. Few BTC withdrawals are delayed because of the multiple transactions requested at the same time causing network congestion. The transaction should eventually go through and we will update you once it is complete.
Best regards,
Mt.Gox Team Is that lame or what?! Network congestion!?!?!? PLEASE!!!!!!

Love this thing. What's the default Ichimoku strategy? Gets great results on the hourly.

Coolio. Doesn't do Forex yet, but still awesome.

Whoever came up with Cryptotrader is a genius. I wish such a thing existed for Forex. Or does it?

- In other markets, I manage entries and exits using multiple timeframes
Would you give us an example?

In the context of this thread, unless you can quantitatively describe a parabolic rise and have backtested a method of taking profits during periods of mania, then I would say to wait until the crossover has occurred prior to exiting. "The trend is your friend until the bend at the end".
The only thing that comes to mind is to have some kind of a formula which pinpoints a parabolic rise when it's happening, and then you switch to smaller time frame. Do you trade in a single time frame, or multiple?

Question for Goomboo: do you do anything different when you see a parabolic spike approaching?

did you both have verified accounts ?
I do not have a verified account, but they're forcing me to get one. Apparently my sin was to log onto the site using TOR. I don't see why they can't solve this problem with a few extra security questions or an emailed link. No bank I've dealt with puts me through this BS.

I have 8 measly bitcoins at Mt. Gox and I can't get them out. I get this message: "Your account is currently pending review, please visit https://mtgox.com/forms/verification" I have to get a security review to withdraw 8 bitcoins now? I'm not asking for USD, I'm asking for my bitcoins. Is this a new policy or what?

Mostly on hourly charts. Daily rarely crosses over so the impact is much less pronounced. What EMAs are you trading? I can find you the most profitable thresholds.
15/24 on daily.
|
|
|
Absolutely. I've run some tests and a threshold of .25 is the most profitable. It surprised me that the default setting was the best one for once.
EDIT: That's only under my trading conditions actually. You'd have to test for your specific EMA and time period.
Do thresholds really work in general? I'm not sure I'm convinced they prevent fake-outs.
|
|
|
OK, now I see the problem. I had no threshold and I didn't have enough initial candles. Now I get your result. Amazing how dramatically the threshold affects results.
