Offer was higher of current mtgox or $750. Since mtgox was around $540...

Received $219.73 @ $750 = 0.29297 BTC

I'm obviously upset that I lost ~1.7 bitcoins. But, glad to have something.

If you consider the peak of $900, he got hacked for $3,600,000... Sad Guess my share of the losses is less than $1,000...

Thanks for what you could do TradeFortress.

That blows it took a long time to get that. I don't have enough money for a gpu yet. It will take 3months to hit payout.

0.01 btc threshold at current USD is roughly $1 give or take... It will take you 3 months to hit that? How much in electricity cost are we talking? And is that worth your time? You might find the money faster by walking around parking lots looking for spare change on the ground.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MT.GOX Statement Regarding DHS Court Order on: May 15, 2013, 08:03:06 PM
The court order is waiting in their queue, they should get it in a week or two.

I wish there was a +1 button for posts.
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Real Time Charting, Order Book, and Time & Sales on: May 15, 2013, 07:47:19 PM
If your order is the same price as an existing order on the book, then it will add to that order, not show up as a distinct issue. You probably know this, but it could factor into the behavior.

Yup, I'm specifically placing an order for a different value than any currently on the order book.

I'm certainly not filtering out any updates that make sense: for instance, since there is the order book syncing issue, I won't update the book if I get a bid that's higher than the inside ask; things like that.

Interesting, the value I bid is 0.00001 (or however many 0's there are) above the current high bid. Do you think that's related the cause?

By "bid higher than inside ask" you mean if the lowest ask is 115 and an "order" comes in for a bid at 115.01 you ignore it since it's higher than the lowest ask?

I have not seen this in the last few days but I'll try to watch closely when I have time later this week.

I'm a little confused as to the "no lag" and MtGox - I've used the site many times but lately it seems to be missing orders:
Ex: I placed a bid order at 106.5 when there is no lag around (Market at 107). The order shows as "Open" on my MtGox account, but never shows up on CM... for 5 minutes, with no mtGox lag. Wondering if it's something else, I move closer to market price, order opens and gets filled... very weird behavior!

=> is MtGox selecting which orders get broadcasted?
=> does CM miss some of those "updates" ?

Just wondering why after 5 minutes my order was nowhere to be found on the bid stack.

@Clark: I don't have data to reproduce this, but I have noticed a few occasions where I placed an order via a POST with my MtGox API, and then I see the order show up in MtGox, but it doesn't show up in the bid/ask depth data. Even though I see other data adding and removing itself from the bid/ask still. Eventually my order fills, and I see the trade entry in the trade list, but it never showed up on the ask/bid depth. (These are often 0.1 or 0.05 BTC orders.)

I'll try to keep a closer eye on it to see if I can get more valuable reproduceable details. Take this from me with a grain of salt right now though because who knows what it could be.
6  Economy / Lending / Re: CoinLenders :: Get bitcoin loans, and earn interest on your deposits! on: May 14, 2013, 12:14:14 AM
Could you add a note on the site about when the interest is applied, and where you'll see the value applied? I'm wondering if it will show up in the Transactions table? I have a very odd number of BTC deposited so if my balance simply increases by an odd number, I'll never notice. Just some curious feedback from a new user.

Also, I reviewed the Earn Interest page, but didn't see a note about what time the interest is paid out. (Perhaps in the Account Interest Rates Paid section.) I'm curious so I know to watch for it.

For the record for other users. I just received my first interest payment.

It appears to be at "2013-05-13 20:00:03" (Which is 5pm PST)

8  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-E.com exchange Bitcoin, Litecoin, Namecoin <-> USD\BTC (fee 0.2%) on: May 12, 2013, 06:49:46 PM
Nothing there about a BTC transfer to a wallet taking a day to show no confirmations!

That monkey should lay off the vodka long enough to hit some keys and fashion me an email response.

A little patience.
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will be at $125-$150 tomorrow on: May 04, 2013, 05:45:35 AM
It could just as easily hit 75 tomorrow. If you can afford for your $150k to drop to $120k ($30,000 lost...) and not be afraid, then yes, you might be able to hold long enough for it to go back up to 200. But, good chance is if you invest all your money and it drops another 20% you'll panic, sell, and then it'll jump back up 30% the following day. That's just how it works. Smiley

Bears have a funny way of putting words in other people's mouths...

I can tell you this: Me, and a great many people here, would *not* sell if the coins they bought dropped by 20%, because we are not fools. If this describes you, then fair game. However, not everyone has such weak hands.

Ahh well, $79. I got close. Smiley

True.

I keep buying each time it drops 10% Smiley

Good to hear. Smiley

Please add more volumes into play sound.

0 = ?
0.001 = really ?
0.01 = beep all the time
0.1 = same

I am currently stuck between 100 being irrelevant and 1000 being too big.

If you want to do it on your own, open your browser's javascript console and put...

Code:
$("#soundThresh").append('<option value="250">250</option>').val(250).change();

Should work until page reload. (It'll also become a value on the dropdown.) And you can change 250 to whatever you want.

The EUR book should be better now. There was in fact a little glitch on the server side! Please try to recreate your bug if you have time.
Good news! Will do.
I did some quick testing, and it works a lot better now.
The only issue I could still recreate is entering a trade, waiting till its visible on the web page and then refresh.
So as long as I don't refresh everything looks fine :-)
I am glad it's solved, the distrust mentioned above is gone!

Good to hear. I've been using the USD charts for quite a while, and it has been very reliable with regards to seeing my orders show up instantly and never disappearing until they're filled.

Page refreshes are a different beast as Clark pointed out, and keeping the page open for a while let's it sync up most accurately.
15  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: MtGox API version 2: Unofficial Documentation on: April 19, 2013, 09:06:10 AM
At the end of the document, money/wallet/history has an optional parameter of page (in addition to the required currency parameter already listed.)
16  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-E.com exchange Bitcoin, Litecoin, Namecoin <-> USD\BTC (fee 0.2%) on: April 19, 2013, 05:29:40 AM
I'm having a difficult time logging into btc-e.com, I've tried on both firefox and chrome. When I click login, it simply reloads the page and re-displays the login boxes, no error message. I've tried refreshing my cache. Anyone else having a similar problem?

Edit: Nevermind, looks like it's confirmed, there are others having the same problem. Thank you Google Translate: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=29698.msg1882207;topicseen#msg1882207

Edit2: I'm now able to log in again.

trollin again

Nope, not trollin'. I was genuinely interested. I figured out the problem, I went there and before I noticed volume, I changed from EUR to USD. Which (as of looking now) has 1 volume. But, EUR has decent volume. So I was just looking at the wrong currency. I havn't heard of them before though.

Are you looking for any help with the project? I've got some solid php/javascript experience.

I've had mine running for weeks, no disconnects, no problems.
20  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-E.com exchange Bitcoin, Litecoin, Namecoin <-> USD\BTC (fee 0.2%) on: April 18, 2013, 09:43:06 AM
...I am very weary of putting coins on any exchange that is not in the following list:

1.  MtGox
2.  Bitcoin-central

...

Huh? I've never even heard of Bitcoin-central. Just went to check and they have 0 volume. No I don't mean low volume, it says zero.
