[...]I am again tempted to believe that if someone shoots bad journalism at us[...]
By "bad journalism" do you mean unprofessional biased journalism or "bad press"?

I wasn't casting judgment. I'm waiting to play it until there is a graphical interface and the game is more accessible and complete. The graphical interface is being tested by various people and reported on the thread. I hope you didn't think I was suggesting the previous effectively pen-and-paper version (literally using Google spreadsheets) could attract a large user base because I don't believe that, and the last 48 weeks has demonstrated it. Of course not, I was just trying to bring in a more realistic view after the possibility of a TotalBiscuit video was brought up. Time will tell though, the crypto world sure is crazy.

But the game has existed for ~48 weeks already!!
That is remarkable. Congratulations on the upcoming first birthday! When the game was 2 months old, the Long Bond auction (now item_id "LB1615") showed the interest rate of 300% for a realyear. Clearly that was realistic for a project just started, and projecting 6 times longer to the future than it had existed! Now whether we settle at 72% or go to 60% or 50%, the next year there will be laugh anyway. Either to how easy it was to get free money, or how silly people were that it could be paid back. But personally I am too busy in developing the game to have any thought that it might fail... Once it's at release version you have to get someone like totalbiscuit to review it. You can actually pay him to review it (ideally you wouldn't have to but as a contingency) but he is explicit about being paid when he does paid reviews and it doesn't appear to cause any bias. It would probably be well worth the investment if you are confident that he will be impressed, hes a harsh critic if he isn't. Exposure like that will be key to its success because a game like this is probably going to be quite dependent upon a strong network (of users, not like servers). Another reason is that video game journalists are notoriously extreme radical left. And the left hates free markets. So you will be very unlikely to get publicity from them. I just started a website with PC games micro-reviews, I have virtually no, or close to, no visitors. Not even I, who I am invested in Monero, from what I see from the sidelines, I wouldn't give CK a good review. I doubt that CK will get to be an actual fun game instead of an investment mechanism, and doubt that it can be both. Maybe (hopefully) I'll be proved wrong, but this is how I see things being right now regarding CK. Best of luck to everybody!

Well, all I can say is that I used Panda quite often over there. Take it or leave it I guess.
It's really not, guess I'll leave it.

someone buying a beer in downmarket Romanian bar with an alt is more important than endless chart analysis and mental wanking off. Look at this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=846866.0While you all are throwing math and charts around little Pandacoin looks like it has quietly become the first crypto with real world use. Who would have guessed? LOL. I'm a Panda supporter but had no idea it was being used for more than buying beef jerky or mugs, etc. Who ever believes you/them, deserves to be scammed. I live there and I know it's not used. But they are not. That post made it sound not only that is happens but that it happens often. Besides in a wild imagination, where are these bars/taxis/etc.? Stop trying to pump it with stupid lies. I would be amazed if even 2% of all the taxi drivers in Bucharest ever heard of bitcoin not to mention accepting it, and now you're saying that some casually accept shitcoins?

I used Pandacoin all around Bucharest (in Romania) in restaurants, taxis, a dive bar to buy beer, a concert and to buy batteries and other stuff.
This is a pretty big lie.

Here is my take:
BCX and TFM are playing good cop/bad cop.
No unknown exploit exists.
It is all theater.
This is what I also believe, I also read TFM's posts and concluded more than a week ago that it's not AM, just somebody that purposely tries to write like him, guess this was the end game.

My money is on that "TheFascistMind" isn't "AnonyMint".

Although we do not expect to switch PoWs anytime soon, Cuckoo Cycle is on a very short list of candidates for future consideration.
I like that this kind of decisions are on the table. I think most devs just chicken out of fear of ruining the price while that's what they're actually doing themselves by sticking with the easy way.
