Well, we all know how information spreads now. With one viral post, it can spread like wildfire, reaching a large number of people who have seen it. People who are trying to do gambling and post it, and if it's an incredible win, it could give them a platform and an invitation to gamble.
What I'm worried about is the behavior that it causes and how people would take it if they become addicted. There would be compulsive gambling happening, and even the youth can get exposed easily to it.
To combat this, IMO, is to have a strong educational approach and strong support systems that would help those to prevent addiction or even those who are addicted already.

What the scammers did here was exploit a survey platform like (research.net) to create a phishing form.. They used a similar email address to lend credibility to recipients and relied on a public form to carry out the scam.
I'm curious to know how they exploited it and how we can report it to research.net. Usually, like what UserU said, it's under spam, the typical one. But for this one, it came through, and it was even tagged as important in my email just because it's from research.net. I'm really hoping that platforms like that would put a countermeasure against this. Now, with AI, scammers can create messages that look convincing. Therefore, we shouldn't rely on the appearance of the message alone.. We should double-check the sender's address, and we shouldn't blindly click on attached links to avoid falling into a scam that’s actually easy to spot. It's definitely easy for us since we know a lot of these type of strategies, but for people who have no idea, they can fall for it.
Thankfully these emails are filtered under Spam.
And then when you try to filter them, chances are that 99.9% of the origin sender emails are irrelevant.
I believe it's because it's from "research.net" that it went to my inbox. Normally, it's being directed to my junk mail or spam folder, but for this one, it went through.

This is definitely rapid growth for sports betting, with more than 1000% increase, and it's likely caused by boredom during the pandemic, when many people had time to read and search the internet.
That's where the need of the income comes in and they would probably search "potential side income" "part time" then they would be advertised with gambling ads like in major sport events.
The easier access makes the potential of people more. PLUS, the invention of prediction sites like Polymarket makes it more exciting.

I have one story that I had with my friends. We were gambling together and betting on eSports, and we lost. So what we did was we had our remaining money and bet on the roulette. Then guess what happened? We got the win! It's a multiplier x36, IIRC, and it was so fun. The amusing part is how happy my friend is that he managed to do a handstand. It was a funny moment.

Well, if there is an API, then there should not really be a problem, because bots make life easier. Trading is just making it 24/7, and you can definitely take advantage of the market with it.
This depends on the category that you have. This should be clearly stated in the terms and conditions. In essence, participating in these types of activities affects trading behavior by training you in discipline and risk management.

What happened: I received an email from summary@tm.jupdao.com via research.net pretending to be part of a crypto rewards program. They are now using platforms like research.net to scam. I'm not sure how this can be prevented. Personally, it's an easy thing to see with the emails looking convincing and some accurate information that probably has been from previous data leaks. What I'm worried about are people who have less tech-savvy knowledge, and they could think that it's a legit thing. It's concerning for users that were compromised They even have a footer in Korean that says, "Please do not forward this email because the survey link is for you only."

Sana maganda ang kalalabasan nito. Hindi ko lang mag gets OP, para saan 'tong topic na 'to dahil matagal naman ng umabot ng ganyan. ATH is around 120k+ range na. Siguro tataas pa pag dating ng rate cuts. I hope more on ETH umangat.

I have no direct experience with that, but I have seen some people who had this kind of experience in my local exchange, where they flagged the deposit they made and froze those assets just because he said it came from a casino.
With that experience, there are a lot of people who hate on the platform, and it has stuck ever since. I think this depends on the platform you are depositing to, because with some exchanges, you don't have to say where it came from.

I'm curious how the interest rate changes and inflation outlook would affect the price. It's definitely something that we need to see if there's a correlation. We all know how it went before, but we will see soon what the decision could be.
In my technical analysis, it seems like we're going to have a sweep below for the liquidity and then continue to rise. It's still volatile, and there's no direction yet in the short-term timeframe.

There is always a reason why the wealthy have become wealthy; it may be because they have been in power, and that's where corruption happens, and they would be able to do what they want.
Blockchain, however, would make it transparent and would prevent possible corruptions. I just do hope that there would be talks and application about this.
Bitcoin truth will win.

I agree with the other members that the frequency is the most habit-forming in terms of addiction. Imagine that you get so used to gambling every day and you rely on it, and you want more and more because you are getting used to it, and you force yourself to think that "it's okay".
There would definitely be a neurological disorder that could occur. It's best to study those and present scientific data to assess the behavior when it occurs more frequently or not. It could be a problematic issue if it becomes a habit.
This would depend on "when" you start this habit as well IMO.

I have read this somewhere, and it's a great one. It's probably a long time coming in terms of how they wanted to move out. It's just a dream that has turned into a reality. If I did have that kind of a win, it would probably be much the same, but with my family.
Probably, I'll have to find a way to make it sustainable so that I don't have to work anymore.

I believe there should be a pointing finger towards the people who are pushing it because we all know there are a lot of people in the government. In the current events, the people highlighted in a topic here in the gambling discussion are from a department called DPWH. They are not responsible for those policies introducing the anti-gambling policies. Maybe if you could show the people who are pushing the anti-gambling policies, like Ejercito and Zubiri [1]
. Are there news of them gambling? What you are trying to say OP is that the impact on the policy that they are trying to do and the integrity that they have. I hope that it's not the case.

It's definitely the one who lost it. Regrets are often experienced because someone lost something and has that kind of "hope" that they want to get it back or change the way they are now.
I believe that as long as you accept the amount of losses, you can bear with it and continue. You don't need to feel regret because you know in the long run you can win.

I don't think I have experienced this. There was just a lag, and I needed to refresh it, but when I had my auto-close of the crashed game, like the target, I had gotten it. I didn't have a problem even if I refreshed the page.
I was always thinking of this error connected with the internet that you have.

I do think that there are a lot of favored or somewhat biased people in all sports. I do see a lot of memes going around about it as well. The most viral ones are during crucial times when it seems that there should be calls.
I am not really sure if it's that significant, but that's why I would prefer AI-type or computer-based rule checking, if it's possible today, instead of humans just because it would be efficient and have no biases and should be verifiable.

I agree that it is essential for members who post here, such as those interested in technical and fundamental analysis, trading psychology, and risk management. I believe there's something that should be added here, and that is backtesting. This would ensure the trader that their strategy is viable based on the historical data.
