1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SILENTARMY v4: Zcash miner, now with Nvidia support (Linux only) on: November 09, 2016, 03:47:50 AM
V3 was running fine. After compile V4 (and some other tests) i get this:

edwin@edwin-ubuntu:~/silentarmy$ ./silentarmy

what version of Ubuntu ?  and how long ago did you install that version of v4 of v4 it was last updated 5 hour ago according to https://github.com/mbevand/silentarmy/tree/master

Latest commit 5228f1d 5 hours ago @mbevand mbevand *properly* fix 32-bit compilation warnings

or you can get the tag version four which was updated Latest commit 1dc5663 18 hours ago @mbevand mbevand release v4

I am running Ubuntu 16.04 - 64b
Just now i tried installing the first V4 release (1dc5663 18 hours ago)
Also tried a fresh git clone   https://github.com/mbevand/silentarmy.git

but the result is the same (see above)

I think the error
unexpected banner "/home/edwin/silentarmy/sa-solver: /usr/local/cuda-8.0/targets/x86_64-linux/lib/libOpenCL.so.1: no version information available (required by /home/edwin/silentarmy/sa-solver)"
is caused by something else. Has anyone seen this before?

Edit Makefile
change line

LIBOPENCL = "/usr/local/cuda-8.0/lib64"

then replace input.cl with this one http://coinsforall.io/distr/input.cl

Many thanks! This solved my problem

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Open Source ZEC (ZCash) GPU Miner AMD & NVidia (up to 45 sol/s on RX480) on: November 04, 2016, 03:01:49 AM
Is someone around actually able to get 30+ sol/s stable through RX 480 8 GB using Windows 10?

The silent army doesn't work for me, it crashes as soon as it starts. I'm using Windows 10.

Then it is worth changing to Ubuntu 16.04
My RX480 8GB is giving a steady 38 sol/s (just default settings, no BIOS tweaking)

Hi all

My first post... i am a newbie. New to mining, new to linux, new to pretty much everything  Cheesy
So i spent the last days reading everything there is about zcash mining and did some testing and trying.
Now i got the 0.2.3 client up and running in Ubuntu 16.04 with a steady 38 sols/s for a single FX480 8GB
(planning to add more GPU later)

Pool mining is working fine for me and very stable. Auto-payout is working flawless, already received 3 payments.
This pool is awesome!
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank eXtremal for all the hard work!!!

one question (could not find this anywhere):
When you transfer funds from t-addr to z-addr, there is a 0.0001 transaction fee that goes to the zcash folks.
Does this fee also apply to pay out from the pool to my t-addr?
(cause if that is the case, it would be ridiculous to set payout to 0.001 and loose 10% every time)

Cheers and happy mining to all!
