hashnet stock updated but the price is like high in air 3600 USD


What do you think about this price of 3600 USD on hashnet ?

If you want to mine the L3+'s they have already deployed for their own use, and as
A 'hedge' for them too boot, risk wise of too many miners, you are gonna overpay BIG
using hashnet. Yep, big bucks to pry them away from the data halls to hashnet.
Considering you can buy em with a PSU from Bittawm plus shipping in the US 3600 it's just ridiculous. It's nice for those of us that don't want a noisy as hell miner in our house though, and ROI is reasonable on them. I might consider buying up a little bit in the future.


Even looking at Hashnest PPS the reward is going down real quick, August batch buyers beware of difficulty. LTC mining calculators will be very wrong and we could be seeing an absolute bomb in terms of difficulty soon.

Hashnet has a pretty cool system. You can put your minimum price in password field and list hashnet as primary pool. If the price goes below, it stops sending work and your L3+ will mine on secondary pool. Every so often it tries to go back on primary pool. Not sure if I am losing hashes when it is floating around my limit. I should get a clearer picture in a week. Some people were bidding upwards of 0.07 BTC/GH/Day in short bursts. They probably wanted to get an order filled to see what it was like, but definitely did not run the numbers. it was nice to have gotten 0.035 for a day and a half. now hovering below 0.03.

Can someone possibly assist me? I have 3 cards that refuse to start hashing. I tried connecting 1 card at a time operating status goes from running to stop before it starts mining. Only 1 card out of 4 works, if i connect it alone it stays running and starts to mine. If i connect it with any or all of the other three cards, operating status goes from running to stop before any minimg takes place. Please help at a total loss. It is not the pi that is faulty

Please show your configuration and if possible cgminer.log( try ssh to to pi user:pi password:raspberry)
Cgminer.log is located in/var/www

Tested on nicehash and stable on the connection for 10 days straight and running.
Improvement on nicehash speeds also.

My A900 had issues mining at nicehash. It would go good for 12-48hours or so and then 1 of the mining units in it would stop and go to 0mhs in the dashboard. The other would still show ~450mhs but it would show 0 activity in the live graph and my nicehash address would show there wasn't any mining. I'd have to go the the miner and restart it (and actually before restarting the blue light was flashing like when it starts up). This happened a handful of times

I switched to only mining at a x11 dash pool and its been fine since!
No problems here on nicehash.

It looks like a connection problem but there are no logs available on the baikal(stock firmware) so you need to enable logging from sgminer to adress the problem.

Depends on your location.
Try ping to the adress of nicehash it will return the ip adress.

Had some issues before with nicehash on baikal miner.
Don't know if this will help you but it might have to do something with dns.

Lookup the ip to the nicehash server and use that in you settings.
It worked for me and after that it also seemed to connect to the nicehash adress.

Hope so.. if a reflash is possible it could be an easy fix imo.
Im happy to try it if innosilicon provides the firmware and information.

My best guess is that its the top left chip in the pic posted earlier.
That would be the only chip that isnt easy to reprogram imo.

So if you want to replace a chip like that you'll need some soldering skills.

that means that cgminer did not start yet or bailed out with errors and the web interface cannot connect to the cgminer api.

Wait for it to come online if you see it running in the connect page.

Check your configuration if it will not keep running.

Hi! Guys. Please need your help. Today i have start A4  block (138M) and after connect and config it. (software 1.0.3) i recieve message "Error getting version for 127.0.0.1:4028 ERR: socket connect(127.0.0.1:4028) failed!" What that mean?

Full diagnostic outputs to much information when board drops occurs once in a while.

I did found a error on cs3 and short after a reinit of that board.
Also it looks like it stalls the other boards as well but this might be normal as nonces display

Login is pi/raspberry

the problem with the log is that it displays the board drops and init of the boards but its completely random.
Sometimes it doesn't even gets it to bring the board back up again.
This happens on multi-pools . not so much on the litecoinpool.
Diagnostics look like problems in the driver or on the spi bus.
The driver is compiled with cgminer so if we do not have hands on the source code its hard to solve this without innosilicon.

 Cheesy i hope this is true. as i like to tweak the setting and solve board drops.

But strange thing here is i got my answer this week stating No Opensource in the future ... so could innosilicon shine a light on this ?

Just a though guys.

Why would you try to reset with a PDU if you could easily just kill cgminer and after restart check if boards came back if not kill cgminer again untill all board are back online .. i have had this running with batch 2 and it worked almost all the time flawless.

ps. for board drops i used the cgminer api to detect.

Edit:
Opensource ? i would like to hope so but innosilicon has no intensions to opensource as i asked them frequently .

I also hope this is a software problem.
Is it possible that communication between the boards and the raspberry is terrible(or wrong configuration) and causes the board to drop?

These are some errors when the board dropping occurs.
Only board cs3 is found by cgminer and other board will eventually work or dropped after a long run time.
It seems that the spi bus fails to initiate the boards but im not sure.
Temperature is not the problem as the board run around 44C.
