1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gigabyte RX580 Gaming 8gb (Hynix) low hashrate? on: June 22, 2017, 10:17:39 PM
I have the same cards. Mining at 30.5 mh/s per card :/ I flashed the sapphire pulse hynix 8gb rom to them and worked wonders. Used this http://1stminingrig.com/best-bios-rom-for-sapphire-pulse-rx-580-8gb-oc-hynix-memory-30-mhs/

please only do this at your own risk. Just because it worked for me does not mean it will work for you. Make sure you backup your original bios!

I underclocked core to 1130, memory to 2175, and undervolted by 150mv. That gave me 30.5 mh.s for each card.

Make sure you update your bios for the MB. I sat for 5 hours trying to get 6 gpu's picked up in windows 10. Bios update gave me the option to use 6 GPU's. Setting this then allowed all 6 to work. I am using a TB250-BTC pro. Smiley

I have a Galax 1070 and have started mining. Currently mining at 450Sol/s but would like to get this up a bit. Could someone please share their afterburner settings and speeds Smiley

5 x RX480:

ZEC - Total Speed: 818.401 H/s, Total Shares: 517, Rejected: 2, Time: 00:10
ZEC: GPU0 164.360 H/s, GPU1 164.098 H/s, GPU2 161.291 H/s, GPU3 164.007 H/s, GPU4 164.646 H/s

So each RX480 is doing ~163.6 rock stable.

Wow.. that's cool man!
are they the 8gb version or 4gb version?
If you don't mind can you share your gpu setting (cclock/memclock, strap bios etc) a little bit?

Sapphire RX 480 Nitro+ OC 8GB

I can upload the BIOS somewhere if you want to play with it. (I don't recommend people use it for all their cards)

That's great idea man.. I never flash my card directly with any downloaded bios.rom... I usually just open the downloaded bios.rom file & open my copy bios.rom, compare the value then if everything look right i try to copy the value from downloaded bios to the copy of my bios.rom and flash my card with that copy of my own bios that has been modified .. I understand the rule in any  forums.. the risk of taking advice from any forum is completely my own risk.. :-)

Thanks a lot man... You Rooock!!

Happy mining & have a wonderful day!

Thanks for ROM! I tried it out, it does give ~ 162 sol/s but power is very high. GPUz showing around 110w vs my 145 sol/s @ ~ 75w (GPUz)

Thanks Claymore!

~ 15% increase RX 480. 125 sol/s (v5.0) -> 145 sol/s (v6.0)

All hail Claymore. 85sol nitro+ 480, 80sol xfx gtr 480

Anyone else notice 40% cpu usage from the miner?

I'm using -i 2, only two cards right now.

Please share rom :-)

v3 is epic! 66Sol/s on RX 480  Shocked
Which one exactly? Which BIOS?

Getting ~58MH/s with my Sapphire RX480 Nitro+ 4GB, great job!

RX 480 Nitro + 8gb using -i 2. Bios i am using is the v4 bios found here:

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BEST CPU FOR ZEC MINING on: November 07, 2016, 08:41:29 PM
hey yall,

can you post what your results are with CPUS

im on 30 sols while i mine with my GPUS, if I turn GPUS off then 50 sols

I have some old AF cpu but it was good when i got it (i7 2600k 3.4ghz quad)

Create 2 directories, a batch file for the CPU in one and the GPU in the other, run 2 instances of the miner and you should see better overall speed.

Or

Use 1 miner for GPU and a different miner for CPU (lots of options out there)

Oldest i7 I have is a 3770K and it does around 32 Sol/s

I have an i7 3770k too and only getting 20 Sol/s. How are you getting yours so high?

Signed up to thank you! Been running all your releases and never had a single issue with either. Thanks for the hard work!
