4  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 7970's getting under 700Kh/s Scrypt? on: May 09, 2013, 03:58:22 AM
I have 2 x standard Gigabyte 7970, etc and can get 750K/hash per card at 80-85C temps.  I lower it to 718k/hash to keep temps below 79C

It seems that BTC-e has added most of the newer alt coins to the trading engine.

LTC because it seems to have the better payout for now..
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How long till I see coins from guiminer? on: May 09, 2013, 03:49:56 AM
unfortunately, with the difficulty level as high as it it for BTC, you are unlikely to min a block on your own with the hashrate you have.

It is much better to join a bitcoin mining pool for shared payouts such as Slush's pool @ http://mining.bitcoin.cz or BTCGuild @ http://www.btcguild.com
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much have newbie Mhs/Khs? on: May 09, 2013, 03:41:46 AM
been mining since mid March.

Started with 2 x 5850's @ 365M/hash each

Added 2x Gigabyte 7970s @ 720M/hash each two weeks later!  Now trying to decide whether to invest more or switch to LiteCoins for better payout

11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: riser cable with power or without power on: May 09, 2013, 03:35:54 AM
I think you can use 1x to 16x cables for all cards.  At least I've seen many rigs with this setup. someone please tell me if I'm wrong because I ordered a 10x lot of 1x to 16x cables.
