I don't trust these people with my credit card numbers and if they don't trust PayPal then BitCoins are NOT for me!!

I didn't say they asked for my PayPal password. I said they might as well have.
Some of these strangers want me to practically give them the keys to my house in order to buy BitCoins.
It doesn't sound very safe to me.

This is the first I've heard of PayPal reversing a payment.

if this is true why aren't most businesses complaining about PayPal reversing payments?

It seems to be more hassle than its worth using BitCoins

I buy quite a few things online with PayPal.
Why the heck do people selling BitCoins want so much personal information from me?
I don't feel comfortable giving out such information to strangers.

I'm brand new to BitCoins.
I've been considering buying BitCoins for the first time ever by using PayPal.
As I considered doing so I was amazed how much personal information people selling BitCoins wanted from me.
I ended up feeling they might as well ask me for my PayPal password as well.

I mean, I don't even know these people and some wanted a picture of me standing next to my photo ID.
It made me feel rather uncomfortable. I don't like to give out personal information unless absolutely necessary.

I do business using PayPal quite often. Others don't ask for so much personal information.

I don't get it.

The whole concept of using BitCoin is supposedly to be as anonymous as possible, right?

Any comments would be appreciated.
