1  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why are Muslims synonym to terrorism? on: October 18, 2017, 07:50:08 PM
Terrorism has no religion.
Once upon a time, some Christians were synonym to terrorism in the middle age.

Do you care to elaborate? I do not recall any Christian in history killing people because the bible says is right.

He may be referring to things like the Crusades, the Spanish Inquisition or perhaps the terrorism that had occurred in Northern Ireland. I do agree that Islam is the most dangerous religion but Christianity does not have a completely clean record.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Korea To Tax Bitcoin Use on: October 16, 2017, 12:55:23 PM
The beauty of Bitcoin is that they can avoid taxes, assuming that they keep transactions under the table. Large exchanges are the low-hanging fruit for tax authorities.

5  Other / Off-topic / Re: What will the world be like in 100 years on: July 03, 2017, 05:36:37 PM
Bitcoin will be worth $1billion each and normies will be at our feet, begging for our precious Satoshis. Either that or a nuclear winter.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price on: May 19, 2017, 04:00:39 PM
Bitcoin is moving to $2000 today. What is the impact of this geometrical price movement to the world financial system? Let us discuss.

In just one word, nothing

In more than just one word, the price itself is meaningless outside the exchanges (since Bitcoin is not used in real life), so there is no way it can affect the world financial system. And it is not the price alone which matters. If someone sold 1 satoshi for 1 dollar, would that mean anything? Apart from that, the price can easily lose all reference even between exchanges if there happens a thing which I called Bitcoin Big Rip. With higher prices we will see higher volatilities (in fact, we are already seeing them), up to a point where volatility becomes comparable to price itself. That would be a Big Rip event or moment
This. We should treat Bitcoin like gold or stocks, an investment. The idea of it replacing fiat as a currency may be a pipedream.

13,000 doesn't seem like a whole lot of recruits considering Sweden's population. I wonder what specific criteria they will look at for picking out the unlucky conscripts.

The sad part is that everybody had already assumed that the CIA had unlimited backdoors on all of our devices.

Quote
Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions, the incoming administration’s Attorney General pick, has long adopted a critical stance against encryption. He has stood in direct opposition to end-to-end encryption, citing his experience in law enforcement when calling for government officials to have complete access to encrypted devices.

Earlier this year, Apple remained in a standoff with the FBI over allowing law enforcement agencies access to a locked device owned by a mass shooter in California, a move highly criticized by Sessions. Trump himself also opposed Apple’s stand while on the campaign trail, insisting that the company be boycotted.

Do you guys think this will affect the legality of Bitcoin under the Trump administration?

I dont think so. Apple was only placed in hot seat its because their encryption was necessary to the case of the California shooter. Without that shooting incident the government will not stood against end-to-end encryption. But bitcoin has not yet shown incidences that it was placed on the hot seat in the USA. If bitcoin users will not use bitcoin in illegal transactions then the government will not mind bitcoin but rather appreciate it.

The problem is that there are indeed plenty of illegal Bitcoin transactions, many of which make headlines. Bitcoin is also seen as a means for tax evasion, so I don't see why Bitcoin is safe at all from the government.
12  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you think of Comunism? on: February 11, 2017, 08:24:09 AM
Communism is a pipedream and most "communist" governments turn into totalitarian shit holes.
13  Other / Politics & Society / Re: UNESCO declares Islam as the most peaceful religion of the world on: February 11, 2017, 08:22:04 AM
Yup. I think this is true. Maybe on the earlier days of Islam. Just feel sad that because of politics, it became the worst religion for me. A religion that spreads terrorism around the world. Killing innocent people is really unforgivable to me. I think this is the produ t of false doctrines of a false prophet. Religion should be bringing peace not destruction.
Many people were killed during the earlier days of Islam. At least 80 million were killed during the conquests in India alone.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best source of bitcoin nowadays? on: February 10, 2017, 10:43:41 PM
Unless you are from a third world country, it would be best to work a regular job and set aside money to buy bitcoins. Trading on the side can slowly increase your stash.

I wonder if this will encourage Brazillians push for more gun ownership rights.

Nobody was freaking out when Obama issued travel bans or even drone strikes.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: Holdings of gold vs Holdings of btc on: January 19, 2017, 09:22:27 PM
Gold is finished, gold is dead. Everyone's money should be in btc, ltc doge and vidz.

Gold still has value since it is a precious metal that is used in many industries.
18  Other / Archival / Re: I'm really leaving the U.S. for a 3rd world country because of politics on: January 02, 2017, 12:02:23 AM
Better reconsider dude because politics is everywhere including your own home.
he might not be moving from US because of political reasons alone ,he would have found that it is more cheap and inexpensive to live in a third world country and being a US citizen have its perks in a third world country i guess. Good luck

I agree, being white increases the chance to get laid with hot young women. LMAO

It is the $$ what makes you hot in the 3rd world.
That is only true for old farts looking for sex. Young white guys are highly desired by brown women in many countries because they want beautiful looking children.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The European Union Wants to Identify Bitcoin Users on: January 01, 2017, 07:06:07 PM
Maybe they should just deport troublesome immigrants. It would be a lot easier.
