2  Other / Meta / Please Change the Captcha to Coinhive (or Add it as an Option) on: December 09, 2017, 10:39:30 PM
Honestly the Bitcoin Captcha is a bit of a pain in the ass, and I'd be in more favor of using a miner-oriented POW captcha like Coinhive. It would be less user input, more Monero to fund the Bitcoin forum, and much slower in confirmation.

What do you guys think?

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: PaperCoin - Where the Private Key IS the Coin on: December 04, 2017, 06:50:10 AM
The point of the coin is not to be limited. There is no software behind this coin. Its just the wallet alone.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: PaperCoin - Where the Private Key IS the Coin on: December 04, 2017, 06:17:27 AM
No, this is not meant to be a joke. Once you have the private key, you have the coin. [EDIT]: This is meant to be a paper currency that anyone can mine easily.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / PaperCoin - Where the Private Key IS the Coin on: December 04, 2017, 06:12:31 AM
PAPERCOIN
Where the Private Key IS the coin!

Now you can "mine" the coin by printing out the wallet, or just generating the private key!

The address prefix decimal is 93, so the Public Key starts with "e".

Currently I do not have an "official" wallet generator, so go here:

Note I am aware that there is another website called PaperCoin (www.papercoin.org), but it is not a currency itself.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Altcoins with Preloaded Wallets on Generation? on: November 20, 2017, 04:45:22 AM
To whom it may concern,

Is there an altcoin that already has pre-loaded coins upon generation of a wallet? If so, is there a successful one, and what is it?
7  Other / Off-topic / Cochran Ethereum Network on: August 25, 2017, 07:57:37 AM
I just created...and am running...a brand new Ethereum network, called Cochran, where the purpose behind this is instant mining and confirmations. The following code is below for the Genesis file:

9  Other / Off-topic / Gratitude Makes a Better Currency than US Dollars AND Bitcoin combined. on: July 25, 2017, 10:17:55 PM
DISCLAIMER: If I sound like I am insulting Bitcoin, I am not meaning to, because part of my idea here was inspired from Bitcoin.

Ever realize that Gratitude makes a better currency than Bitcoin or Fiat money? It's true! Money in general only makes rich people and poor people. Money is also controlled by a central government or banks; while Bitcoin has paved the way to decentralized currency, it can be hard to use for the non-tech-savvy, as it relies 100% on a network that is going through a problem with the Segregated Witness protocol. (Or was, IDK)

On the other hand, just saying "Thank You" (or writing it on a piece of paper and handing it to someone else) makes a more meaningful exchange for a product or service. It has more emotion to it than a fiat paper note.

That's why in my community, we replaced every dollar we had with homemade notes saying "Thank You" on them and exchange them for whatever we want or need...used electronics, homemade food, house cleaning, even US Dollars if need be that we need to go on vacation outside of our community.

The science of saying and writing "Thank You" is that if everyone started being grateful more for what they already have, what they are getting, and what they know they are going to get, then everyone will be happier in life, and feeling more appreciative of their life and liberty. There is an abundance of everything.

Also, by providing a service or good for people's gratitude, you will feel thanked and feel very happy that your customers are happy for your contribution for society.

Here's how my proposed Gratitude system works:

Each "Thank You" note is supposed to replace $1. So say if I were to buy a $1,500 MacBook Air, not to mention tax, as well as shipping and handling if I were to buy it online. That would total it to $2,000 roughly. If this "Thank You" note system were to take off, you'd take 2,000 small pieces of paper and write the words "Thank You" on them. Then you take these notes, and go to the Apple Store, and hand them the notes. Then they give you the MacBook, feeling extremely appreciated for the time and effort to design, manufacture, and give out the technology inside the MacBook.

Again, the time and effort to write 2,000 separate notes makes it proof that you really mean the gratitude, way ahead of time, rather than taking one note and writing "2,000 Thank Yous."

Also, you can spend "Thank You" notes that you earn from other people from your contribution and goods. This is what makes writing "Thank You" a currency, after all,...not to mention how tired your hand will be after writing so much at once, which will give you a reason to work.

So if you want a decentralized currency and Bitcoin is not your cup of tea (or it so happens that the power goes out)...then gratitude is the best alternative.

Now, I have announced this on Bitcoin Forum before, as I was trying to buy "Thank You" notes with Bitcoin but failed to do so as I found out that I lost my Bitcoin private key. But what I am now really getting at is replacing any currency with the usage of "Thank You" notes, no matter what language you write the words in. And whoever actually promotes this idea will get a prize...a rare Mushroomhead CD known as Multimedia Remix.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: Please Test my Parity Node for Mining Upon on: July 25, 2017, 08:23:18 PM
Okay, thanks for letting me know. FYI, I stopped the node anyway, but I'll run it again soon.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Please Test my Parity Node for Mining Upon on: July 04, 2017, 10:41:32 PM
To whom it may concern,

I am running a Parity node, and I have Stratum enabled on it, I have the --author switch on it as well. My Parity address is 192.168.1.5:8080 (if I am specifying it right).

I am not asking for people to mine on it permanently, unless I specify it is ready for use as a pool. I just need people to test it. If you test it, you may get some ether in return as mining rewards.

If anyone needs more information, let me know.

Thanks,

12  Other / Off-topic / Have Open Source developers considered Adf.ly links to Core binary downloads? on: July 04, 2017, 07:21:00 PM
I know AdFly is probably sensitive to talk about in Bitcoin forum, but in my opinion, open source software, such as Bitcoin Core, could use a bit of help from AdFly or AdFocus, in terms of funding their mission to keep it free. When a link is clicked on, an advertisement plays, and once the user clicks "Skip Ad," the developers will get ad revenue while the software downloads.

AdFocus in particular converts your earnings to Bitcoin.

ASIC Minerworld...no more getting your ass out of bed ever again! Order ASICs today, mine Bitcoins tomorrow, live forever...in your pajamas!

I wasn't spoofing on your commercial tagline, I was only making it more funny. The ASICs on that site look kickass, though

Well, there's GEICO and all that...but everything else is too dull and serious.

And to answer the second question, I'm from USA. UPDATE: I'm so jealous of you for that.

I recently stopped by Change.org after reading about a petition to use Ethereum on Amazon. So...I decided to take the website's petitioning and use it on an issue just as important as that.

Awesome, thanks so much for the info. I wanted to know because so I could find an easy, Ethereum-like way to create a sub-currency based on the original Bitcoin Core without having to pay millions to make a separate wallet.

Oh, by the way, my next step is for other people to try it out, so I need the command to get people to connect to my computer.

My IP is 24.46.180.129, and below is my "getnetworkinfo" output:

{
  "version": 140100,
  "subversion": "/Satoshi:0.14.1/",
  "protocolversion": 70015,
  "localservices": "000000000000000d",
  "localrelay": true,
  "timeoffset": 0,
  "networkactive": true,
  "connections": 0,
  "networks": [
    {
      "name": "ipv4",
      "limited": false,
      "reachable": true,
      "proxy": "",
      "proxy_randomize_credentials": false
    },
    {
      "name": "ipv6",
      "limited": false,
      "reachable": true,
      "proxy": "",
      "proxy_randomize_credentials": false
    },
    {
      "name": "onion",
      "limited": true,
      "reachable": false,
      "proxy": "",
      "proxy_randomize_credentials": false
    }
  ],
  "relayfee": 0.00001000,
  "incrementalfee": 0.00001000,
  "localaddresses": [
    {
      "address": "2001:0:5ef5:79fb:57:344e:e7d1:4b7e",
      "port": 18444,
      "score": 1
    }
  ],
  "warnings": ""
}

And my current coin amount is 150.00000000.
19  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Is it possible to share a Regtest blockchain? on: May 28, 2017, 01:25:33 PM
To whom it may concern,

I have this idea where I create a new currency by creating at first a private Regtest on Bitcoin Core, then distributing my Regtest to other people to work on the same network. Can this be done, as long as everyone knows the IP address and the port number?

Thanks in advance,

cochranizer666
20  Economy / Goods / Selling T-Shirts for $25.70...which I will convert to Bitcoin later on: May 25, 2017, 12:55:15 PM
Selling a T-Shirt with original artwork on it. Currently Zazzle does not accept Bitcoin, but I will turn all profits into Bitcoin once the sale is made and finalized.

Oh, and FYI...those who are visiting the "GameBits" thread...it is true, I have abandoned it, so you may throw that thread in the trash.
