1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for NiceHash miner 2.0.0.12 download on: June 19, 2018, 11:53:52 AM
I don't understand people who use nicehash. Profit with nicehash is no more than on other pools. After the break - in, I don't trust them. They didn't return the coins. A 10% return a month is a mockery. During this time, the rate fell and many lost money. I'm thinking about this hack being fake. Nicehash made a very good profit on the fact that it froze the user coins. How can you trust them after that?
Well, what do you recommend then? The main thing is not to jump from coin to coin, but to get the rig working for maximum profit. Also, not staking anything, but exchanging for fiat money almost every day.
You got any alternatives to recommend? I'd love to hear.
Because for now I'm farming zcash, which is super low on profit. Nicehash is farming automatically for the best coin, converting to btc, which can be easily sold at any time.

Sorry for necroposting, but I'm desperately looking for the same version of miner. Does anyone has that?

Thanks in advance.

Hello all, and thanks Claymore for new miner version!

Though, I have a problem and hopefully one can help me about that.
I got several rigs of 3x470, 4x470 (4 GB) and 4x470 (8 GB) videocards.
After updating the Claymore ETH from 7.4 version to 9.0 I got a strange problem.
Decred increased *2, that's a fact, but hashrate of both ETH and DCR became floating. Usually my cards give 21 or 24 Mh/s (nothing is overclocked/modded, all stock) depending on whether its Asus strix 4gb or Sapphire nitro 8gb, but now once in several seconds one or two cards in the rig drops hashrate to 17-18 mh/s on eth and to 400 mhs (instead of usual 600 mhs) on dcr.
That's how Afterburner log looks like: http://img.imgland.net/aT4LZLU.png
on 7.4 there were no peaks, no nothing.
ASM is ON. If I turn ASM off - everything's fine.
But hey! Isn't it all about ASM = on and having *2 DCR increase?
Windows 7 / SSD / 16 GB Virtual RAM / Latest drivers.

If anyone has such a problem and solved it - I'd be grateful for help.

Hello everyone and Claymore especially!
Thanks for such a great job
I have a question but checked everywhere I can and didn't find any answer, so I hope I get it here.
I've got a miner where I mine ETH/ZEC and check it through Miner Manager. Everything good, I connect to my miner through port 3333, but I decided to use CPU XMR Claymore miner as well, and couldn't figure out how to set my XMR miner into manager. Didn't find neither how to set port nor enable remote management.
Is it even possible to manage XMR remotely (read only in my case, just monitoring the rigs)? I see in Remote Manager I can choose ETH/XMR/ZEC but I am afraid it's only for GPU mode, am I right?
Thanks!

Might be a bad riser.

or the riser is loose
or .. are the lanes set to gen2?  is there a 16x configuration setup like 8x4x4x?
definetly dont leave any of those settings on auto
or the drivers are getting mixed up, might want to try DDU uninstall and reinstall drivers if nothing else works

The lanes are set to gen2 yeah . I have gen 1 and gen 2 should i switch to gen1 ? Can you tell me more about this settings ? To be honest everything is stock and auto. It`s strange that everything works well for 30 mins sometimes 1 hour sometimes 2 hours than boom...i get that error and pc freezes ! Thank you for the helping response
Mentioning a loose riser.. I had a 4 days uptime on one miner with x1-x16 risers. Then suddenly the miner froze, but I could ping the PC, though couldn't connect to it through RDP, Teamviewer or VNC... So when I got to my miner physically, I saw one riser loose, a couple millimeters out from the motherboard. I guess it could be bad riser + vibration (very strange, but that's my only guess) or maybe some ghost Smiley
Seriously, I had a thought that riser was springly (elastic) and maybe because of environment (temp, vibration) it took itself a little out.

Btw what gen1/gen2 you are talking about?

Hello guys. I just started configuring my first rig. I have 4 RX 470 gpus . It works just fine until i get this error :

WATCHDOG: GPU 2 hangs in OpenCL call, exit .

After that it tries to restart the system but actualy freeze it. I have 1200 PSU so power shouldn`t be a problem

Any idea what it can cause this ? I have enough virtual memory set. The Gpus are not modded or anything . Just stock

There seems to be a problem with atikmdag.sys Fail . I have 16 gb of Virtual Memory
Might be a bad riser.
I had a situation when I opened a brand-new riser x16-x16 and used it for a while, everything was alright.
After a while, I reconnected the riser several times and after that when system is idle, everything was ok, but when I turn a miner on - the GPU begins showing 0S/S, hangs and restarts the PC.
Changing the riser helped... For a while, then some time passed and history repeated itself... Using x1-x16 riser in x16 slot helped me. I guess crappy risers were the problem. Ordered USB risers now, hope it will help.
Hope my experience helps. Anyways, try this GPU without riser to make sure GPU is ok.

using nheqminer 4.0 something  ? .I tried that for a while even got more hash out of it for maybe a hour then for no reason i saw either the CPU or the GPU would stop hashing for a while then pick back i wasn't over heating no errors i could fine any place it just stopped from time to time after that hour using nheqminer 4.b something .

Yeah, there is 0.4a nheqminer. About 10 sol/s, but I don't care about electricity (it's free) so I don't mind CPU mining, because it's better than nothing, idling. One rig's CPU is working 24/7 for like a week or two, but another one stops, shows 0 sol/s from time to time as well, strange and buggy.
Good luck that claymore miner never stops, and is super reliable.

he right i was doing about the same with a 850 watt gold PSU i was hitting 562 watts at the wall with three 470 and one 480 but mine are modded to use less power and hash more i can probable get more out of them at a cost by max over clocking and hope i don't make them to unstable , il play it safe i found my sweet spot.

Strange. How come then I have 3x470 and 600W PSU wasn't enough for them? Maybe because I was also mining on CPU of this PC? Maybe should I try without loading up CPU miner?..

by using the CPU using to mine using software ?. .  what software  miners are you using ? .

try this if your using the nice hash miner that's what it sounds like your using ? .

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1670733.0

remember if there not tweak right  thy can use more power at stock settings and hash slower . and 80 Bronze is rated lower then a  80 + gold PSU .

I'm using Claymore as GPU miner, and nheqminer for CPU.
I will check, I have ASUS Strix 4 GB RX 470, will check if there is proper BIOS for that.. Thanks Wink
I'm a bit afraid that I can damage the card/cards... But I guess it should be worth it.

yea the best way is modded the bios to use less power and produce more speed that what's so nice about  these cards now that use 14 NM chips . and they are just getting started ..

you can use afterburner or the WattTool but nothing works better so far then letting the card do it self but modding the bios and doing little tweaks with those tools .

Sorry if I ask a lot, but do you have a proper guide for RX 470 to undervolt (BIOS way)? I'd greatly appreciate that. Thanks!

I appreciate that! Didn't test yet, but will.
Thanks!

I have 5 x 480 undervolted rig with 1000W PSU, and with zec it takes 520W from the wall. So I thing 600 - 750W is enough for 4 x 470.

That is right. If you undervolt, 600W is more than enough.

So I guess in case of undervolting, the Sol/s is decreasing, right?

no not really i thought the same thing will  lower heat and use less power but less sol maybe not if done right.undervolting doesn't all ways mean it will lower the speeds .

Oh thanks, so how do you undervolt exactly? Modding BIOS, or using MSI Afterburner? Or any other software?

Thanks!

Hello,

I have 2 470 rigs, the first with 4x 470 8Gb use a 1000W corsair gold, the second with 4x 470 4Gb uses a 850W corsair platinium.

Roughly, with ZEC, you can make your cards use 90ish Watts when undervolted (not talking gpuz numbers, but at wall), so in theory, a 600W supply should be able to run four of these with a basic system. However, I would not got less than 850W.

850W should be fine with 4x 470s
With stock settings 600W doesn't hold 3 of 470s, so I guess there won't be any chance to run 4x470s with 600W. Dunno about 850W.

Did you undervolt the second gear (850W)? Or pure stock settings?

Well, how to undervolt then? What's more important, won't be any consequences after undervolting?

Thanks

Hello everyone.
I sincerely ask for help from the community.
Currently I have two PCs mining Zcash/ETH (depends on their market price). Nothing is overclocked. RX 470 have modded bios.
First one is: Mobo p8h61-m le, CPU i5-2300, 8 Gb RAM, HDD 160 GB, 3x ASUS Strix 470 4 GB,750W PSU (80 Bronze).
The second is pretty much the same Mobo (except it has 4 PCI-e slots), i3 CPU, 4 GB ram, HDD 80 GB, 1x Asus 380 4 GB, 600W PSU (80 Bronze).

So I intended to switch PSU, as I checked that each RX 470 has TDP=120 Watt, so that means 120*3=360, leaves about 200+ Watt for Mobo, CPU and HDD. Should be enough. So I switched, but the farm worked for like 2-3 minutes, then PSU turned itself off.
My plan was to use 600W PSU on the MB with 3x470, and use 750W with 4x470 (remove 380 completely).
But now I am a bit confused: I am afraid that if 3x470 don't start on 600W, I believe that even 800-850W PSU (I intended to buy 800W for rigs with 4x470) won't be enough for 4x470.

Again, I don't overvolt/overclock anything, only using modded bios cards.

Do you have any ideas/suggestions on what PSU should be used with 4x470? Should I not try to save money and buy 1000W PSU already for 4x470?

Really looking forward to any ideas. Thanks!
