1  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin-24.com matching engine seems broken, site down. on: April 14, 2013, 11:08:00 AM

As you know the exchange is basically free and living from donations. Donations that are needed to pay for customer support, technical support and legal support for example.

Have you given any donations that can actually pay a bill or two?

didn't know he run on donations. He could have advertized that more maybe.
Used the "same day" transfers , so he got share that way. Also am willing to lose another percent or so from my 5k if that's what it takes.

I don't understand these "eek I'm afraid I will not see my money again" comments. Please stop it. It's annoying and pathetic.
Some people give up surprisingly easily it seems.

you are an a*****e

Be sure i checked that number before, i don't wanna have hundreds of ppl calling him, keeping him away from work if he tries to fix the engine  Wink .

And yeah, sometimes you have to be an asshole. You have to say "NO STEP FURTHER" sometimes and defend your point of view in the first, even if it might piss off people. But you always have to be open for other arguments, discuss them, think your position over, move a bit when the opposite moves, too. In the end you have a solution were all keep up appearances.

Since i have a few thousand € in there, i can be your worst nightmare if you don't treat me well!

I am still undecided what the shutdown means, but you sir should have lost this money in the recent crash.

WTF do you mean by that ? Should have lost??? That doesn't mean anything.

8  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-04-11 Zuckerberg's nemeses revealed as Bitcoin moguls on: April 12, 2013, 10:15:29 AM
I have absolutely no issue about the persons. I'm sorry.

My point is that it is far too easy for someone to "own the btc market".

Am I wrong?

They don't "own" the market.  Sure, right now there are lots of people who own a lot of bitcoins, but there is nothing we can should do about it if we want to respect economic freedom, and normally it should get more and more difficult to acquire lots of bitcoins as the market expands.

Exactly. Some People here sound as if they have a problem with Guys getting rich.

Strangely that are often also the ones falling for the get rich quick schemes.  Roll Eyes

Sound like? huh?
didn't you read my argument? you very well know what it means to own percents of an unregulated currency.
the holders can be as good as it gets, but it is still a problem. Just as it is in fiat system. they are humans who can get greedy and form cartel with other investors ,and sell whole junk to central bank for example.
9  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-04-11 Zuckerberg's nemeses revealed as Bitcoin moguls on: April 12, 2013, 09:35:18 AM
Great news!! And greats prices for investing on bitcoins today, i wish i had some money.

your serious?

I've no issue whatsoever with these guys buying bitcoins.  They did not steal them, did they?

Also, I did not know about them before I saw this article, but a quick read of their Wikipedia bio and their arguments about why buying bitcoins let me think they are basically the same as us, only much smarter and richer.

I have absolutely no issue about the persons. I'm sorry.

I love the idea behind btc..but it needs to form into new versions. imo.
10  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: P2P Exchange for bitcoin on: April 12, 2013, 09:26:09 AM
We need coin that can't be manipulated. Bitcoin is useless now when investors/wall-street players have hoarded large portions of all existing coins.

No need to do money on the currency itself. That stinks from the beginning, and isn't better than fiat in that way.
11  Economy / Speculation / Re: Greed makes the world go round on: April 12, 2013, 09:00:57 AM
You mark my words, greed, for lack of a better word, is good.

good for you that you don't have money to give for them. they have enough I believe.
The news about investors scooping percentages of whole btc economy are the last nails in the coffin.
Open source "wall-street free" currency.

Will masses give them their money?
13  Economy / Economics / Re: The deflationary problem on: April 12, 2013, 08:27:35 AM
The deflationary aspect of bitcoin destroys the vibrancy of the mining ecosystem

What the fuck does this mean?

computers won't vibrate anymore
natural vibrations is the key

I'm constantly reading other thread.
seems like the bots are really a big problem, triggering the mass panic:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=85687.22120

we must spread this!
everybody should be aware of that!!!!

yeah any large investor can bot the masses and then pull the carpet.

luckily there are alternative currencies forming like mushrooms on a rainy year.
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Holy Shit! Bitcoin is tanking! on: April 12, 2013, 06:28:28 AM
Ill gladly ride with the twins.

opportunists....
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Holy Shit! Bitcoin is tanking! on: April 12, 2013, 06:27:09 AM
They claim the have only 1% of the bitcoins

only?
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Holy Shit! Bitcoin is tanking! on: April 12, 2013, 06:21:48 AM
I just put on mah boots, and mah hat and mah spurs.

Gentlemen and ladies.

The rodeo is on!

The rodeo on the back of large investors?
Like Winklevoss twins who can drive the bitcoin value how they wish.
Nothing against the brothers. Just that the market can't be healthy if people can own percents of whole currency.

18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Introduce yourself :) on: April 09, 2013, 10:30:50 PM
I can't decide if this is the start of another bubble, or if the huge investors will just hold and there will be no significant dip.  What do you think?

whatever. bubbles come and go.
It's true value is that we can pay to each other without the banks involvement and big brothers eye. Right?
I just wanted to get rid of the old filthy dollars that smelled like banksters pockets.

I don't care if I make profit changing dollars to btc. I'm just so happy not to have my money on bank.

The things that will destroy planet ....... get-rich-quick theory of life.

Ideally I would love to see a world where people, and animals would exchange services and goods to other services and goods. World without money would be beautiful. Maybe btc is one step towards that direction? Looking at the speculation forum it looks like btc is a one step towards wallstreet...depressing.

I'm not against taxes. But I'm not going to pay for the sick military budgets of the world that feed each other. and that feed fear and animal instincts in humans.
I am being forced to pay a lot of money  for military/bigbrother complex. what a waste of human lifes.

That's my dilemma with taxes. I'd like to pay for healthcare, kindergartens, schools ect. but not a penny for the war machine/military
/bigbrother/nwo complex.

I've just had enough of the SHIT they are delivering. What it looks like when you watch the news ,is that everyone else just loves the madness shit. People are hypnotized and paralyzed.

I hope BTC is a movement towards better sharing of wealth in the world, and towards our right to live without the tyranny of wrong-grown governments.

I hope people like the idea of btc and do NOT flock in with dollar bills in eyes.
I think it won't crash badly anytime soon.
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crash coming? on: April 09, 2013, 09:17:22 AM
I doubt a crash will happen... seems just people are getting scared...
You know what scared people do?

Panic sell.

Scared people did not found this country people with balls did.

All the newcomers want their own bubble too Cheesy
The veterans can therefore sell all they want - there's lots of hands to take what they drop.

I think it will just bounce.
BTC is just what everyone wanted. Get their money out of the hands of banksters.
Don't see any reason why it would crash unless something serious shit happens.

Western union might start using BTC like they said. Who would want to dump?
