1  Economy / Lending / As a newbie is there anyway to verify my trustworthiness for a loan that I need on: December 26, 2016, 01:37:40 AM
I don't have the time to level up here but am willing to provide whatever info is necessary to the lender. I'm sorry if asking this is against the rules.
2  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Please help me with strange unconfirmed parent issue on: November 24, 2016, 12:53:33 PM
I realize what I did isn't supposed to be done and won't do it again. I just need some help resolving it.

Here is the order of steps I did that caused this,

Instantly bought $20 worth of bitcoin though coinbase
Sent that $20 to my Electrum wallet
While it was still unconfirmed in my electrum wallet I sent it to bitcasino
They don't require a min confirmation time
I lost that money and then repeated what I did above 2 more times

Once I won I went to cash out of bitcasino but they require minimum of 6 confirmations to do this. So I checked and saw all of my deposits were unconfirmed. I read online that updating the Electrum client might help this so I did that and they now say “Unconfirmed Parent”.

I would like to get these deposits to confirm asap so that I am actually able to take out my winnings.

What should I do?

Sounds like that casino has to work on it's security policy. Allowing 0 confirmation bets leads to abuse since somebody could easily open an account, do a 0 conf deposit, if he loses double spend the input and repeat untill he wins.

That being said, there are a couple of options to speed things up, but i don't know if you would want to go trough the trouble of doing this for $20.

Just keep rebroadcasting the transactions untill they confirm.

Yeah that is somewhat what I assumed happened although even with high priority and the right miners fees its been 24+ so I just wanted to make sure I was ok.

And the rush to get it deposited is because I made bank on that site but can't withdraw until those deposits go though. I was worried if they dropped I would have to go though the hassle of contacting them and explaining and then having to resend the same amounts and if they would even accept that.

Thank you for your reply though, it has been hard getting someone to answer. Cheesy
