5  Local / Mining (Italiano) / Opinione Rig multiuso on: May 18, 2017, 11:26:43 AM
Salve,

- AsRock H81 Pro BTC
- Intel Celeron G1840 Dual Core
- Hyper X Fury DDR3 8Gb
- PCI-E 1x to 16x Powered USB 3.0 Extender Riser Adapter Card
- Kingston SSD 60Gb

Vi ringrazio in anticipo.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Multialgorithm Rig // Bruteforcing opinion on: May 18, 2017, 10:17:30 AM
Hi, I would like your opinion on this Mining Rig.
First some premises that you might consider before expressing your view: 1) i've free electricity 2) i've choosen this GPU also because i need the rig for bruteforcing.

Well of course these are the basic components i'm going to buy:
- AsRock H81 Pro BTC
- Intel Celeron G1840 Dual Core
- Hyper X Fury DDR3 8Gb
- PCI-E 1x to 16x Powered USB 3.0 Extender Riser Adapter Card
- Kingston SSD 60Gb
- Power Supply 1300W (do you think it's enough for the following 6x GPU ?)

For what concerning the GPUs (remember that i need them also for bruteforcing) even if they are a little bit expensive i was thinking to:
- 6x NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti
or
- 6x NVIDIA GTX 1080/1070
Whit these setup, doing some nicehash's estimation the ROI is not more than 200 days.
What do you think about it ? Are there other GPU might works better for both multicoin mining and occasionally bruteforcing ?

So do you think that it might be better to build a GPU rig and mine other cryptocurrencies instead of buying a dedicated hardware for bitcoin mining ?
10  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Embrace it or not on: November 25, 2016, 10:17:08 PM
might be a good idea to mine bitcoin or to buy some GPUs (whose price doesn't change so much during month) and start mining other cryptocurrencies ? that was my dillemma. Is there any other good producer except Antminer ?

I should have a couple of kW and they come from unused solar panel

As I told you I do not have any electrical cost, so electricity wouldn't be a problem

Hi,
I'm new on this forum but I've followed Bitcoin for a couple of years and now I find myself in a particular situation and I wanna now your opinions since it's regarding mining Bitcoin.
Well let's say that I'm living in an apartment in which I do not pay electricity bill, do you think it
Would be profitable and a smart investment to buy Bitcoin Mining hardware and of course Start mining Bitcoin ?
Under this circumstances which miner do you recommend me to buy ?
Or is it a better idea to mine other cryptocurrencies that might be more profitable for a same price hardware ?
Willing to know your opinion  Smiley
