Very Lucky!!! Grin

Thanks for the screenshot.
Blame Windows, but that file is actually armoryqt.conf.txt
In that window, hit View and then check "File name extensions"
You should be able to to rename it correctly to "armoryqt.conf" then.

WOW! That was it! THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH! I have my coins now and everything is in order. I hope you have an amazing week wherever you are. I will do more good deeds in your honor!

Thank you so much, PhoenixFire. Your help has been very appreciated! It appears that Armory is syncing!

I've played around with different dir pathways to ensure that it's hitting the right file for the blocks as well as the db for armory, but a bit of disambiguation to ensure I'm doing this right.
a) I've renamed the file to armoryqt.conf and saved it to the C: location for Armory's data dir (where the databases folder for Armory is located)
b) I have ensure the pathways do not have typos from within the document
c) is the dbdir supposed to direct it to the typical databases folder for armory??? Where is this supposed to direct to?
d) Satoshi-datadir is where the blocks are, but are we trying to get the .dat files or the .ldb files?

Thank you again for all your help.

Yes and no. By default the databases subfolder will be in the Armory datadir, but with this config in place Armory won't be storing databases there. ArmorySettings.txt and the various *log.txt files will be here.

c) is the dbdir supposed to direct it to the typical databases folder for armory??? Where is this supposed to direct to?
dbdir is where Armory will store its databases. As above, by default it is a subfolder in the armory data dir, but the config changes it to D:\App Files\Armory\databases

d) Satoshi-datadir is where the blocks are, but are we trying to get the .dat files or the .ldb files?
Armory has no use for the .ldb files. It cares about the .dat files in the "blocks" subdirectory. Armory seems to accept "D:\Appfiles\Bitcoin\blocks" or will look for a blocks subfolder if you gave "D:\Appfiles\Bitcoin\" as satoshi-datadir.

Does that help?
Have you tried running Armory since I gave you the config?

HEre's where I put your file.

I'm so sorry for being a complete newb at this. I'm trying to take your advice as much as possible but since you've given me the file, I have run Armory but with the same result: after the wallet is checked for consistency, it does nothing after, staying in offline mode with no indication that it is trying to sync.
6  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Changing Armory Pathing on: January 22, 2018, 06:51:25 PM
Make sure you have created D:\App Files\Armory\ and then
Right click me and save link/target as "armoryqt.conf"
You'll need to place this .conf file in your Armory data directory. By default this will be "C:\Users\YourNameHere\AppData\Roaming\Armory\"
"%appdata%\Armory" will also get you there.

Then launch the Armory GUI and it should get things going.

I've played around with different dir pathways to ensure that it's hitting the right file for the blocks as well as the db for armory, but a bit of disambiguation to ensure I'm doing this right.

Hello! Yes, I saw the previous poster but because I'm a newb account I couldn't respond.

I want to try CPFP but I don't know how on the Electrum mobile app. Plus, I'm kind of scared to fang jangle it too much as the app keeps crashing when I select the "address" tab. I've already reported it.

The tx isn't urgent, I just wanted to understand what was going on so I can know what these softwares are doing.

If you have a small guide on CPFP for Electrum mobile, I would welcome it.

Thank you everyone in advance for your help!

I'm not using the mobile app but I'd think it will be similar to the desktop version. Under Tools > Preferences > Transactions make sure 'Spend only confirmed coins' is not checked. Then go to Addresses and switch Filter from Receiving to Change. Then you should be able to select the change address used and 'Spend from'.

If it is not urgent I would just hold on for a bit. The mempool has been slowly clearing out for a few days now. If it doesn't get confirmed in the next few days it will probably get kicked out of the mempool again anyway.

Thank you! I'll just wait. I don't think there's a replace by fee option on mobile (I checked all the options unless it's something cryptic like long pressing the corner pixel on some page). In any case, I'm just thrilled about the mempool clearing. Thank you again everyone!

And what about this part?
Quote
You have a folder named "blocks" in D:\Appfiles\Bitcoin\ ? And that folder has all the blkXXXXX.dat files in it, right?
i.e. does D:\Appfiles\Bitcoin\blocks\ exist and have many blkXXXXX.dat files in?

Yes. there's 66.3 GB of DAT files in this folder.
9  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Changing Armory Pathing on: January 22, 2018, 12:02:44 AM
Ugh, thank you so much! I've installed both core and the blocks in D:/Appfiles/Bitcoin/...

Please let me know if you need anything else! Thanks again!!!
So bitcoin-qt.exe is here: D:\Appfiles\Bitcoin\bitcoin-qt.exe ? Or in a subfolder below that?

Sharing a screenshot of D:\Appfiles\Bitcoin\ might be helpful if the answers aren't obvious.

Where do you want Armory to store its database? This isn't the same as where Bitcoin stores the blockchain. I imagine somewhere on D:\ ?

Bitcoin-qt.exe is exactly where you deduced (D:\Appfiles\Bitcoin\bitcoin-qt.exe)

I would like Armory DB stored in the D:\App Files\Armory\...

Where have you installed Bitcoin Core?
Where have you downloaded the bitcoin blockchain to?

Will get you set up with a config file or cli args Smiley

as buwaytress said, your tx gets rebroadcasted when you imported to electrum
you can try double spend with higher tx fee or the easier way is by doing CPFP with one of the output
but I urge you to do it now and quickly, take advantage while the network fee is quite low
I just checked ~100s/B based on btc.com but with 70s/B should do allright

Hello,

I was wondering if someone can help me with a guide to implement the changes recommended on this link https://btcarmory.com/docs/pathing . I've been trying to access my old btc from 2013 on Armory. Some specs:

Windows 10
64bit
Armory V 0.96.3.992_win64
BitcoinCore V 0.15.1(64 bit)

I have installed Armory and BitcoinCore NOT in the default locations due to limited space. Core is synced but Armory is not responding with any indication that it is attempting to sync. It is displaying as "offline" and when I try to use the ArmoryDB.exe, it shows the incorrect default pathing location. My assumption is because it is looking for the DB and blocks in the wrong location, that it is not doing anything. The linked instructions are telling me to change the CLI args, but I don't know how...can someone give me a basic guide on how to change the CLI args?

Thank you in advance.

It's almost as though the broadcast never worked in the first place (receiving address never picked up an unconfirmed tx) due to low fee...but now that the mempool is clearing up, it's rebroadcasting again?? Would this be the case? It's such an old tx though.

I think what has happened is that as the mempool became full through most of December, low fee transactions were kicked out by most nodes. The size of the mempool is configurable (default 300Mb) but some nodes run much larger than that. Now the backlog is clearing out the transaction has been rebroadcast by a node with a large mempool and there is now space for the other nodes to accept it.

Only one of 2 things can happen, either it gets confirmed or it will get dropped again and you'll be able to spend it in Electrum. If the second scenario happens, make sure you spend it again as soon as you can so you don't go around this loop again.

Thank you so much for the insight. I will keep an eye on the account as much as possible. I'll keep everyone abreast of the events.

Ok, so I've moved all my coins to Electrum app through private key, and everything was fine and I was going to attempt a double spend to clear the previous tx attempt, but VERY SUDDENLY, Electrum is displaying that i am attempting to move the coins so i am facing the same problem as when I had my coins on Airbitz. It's indicating an unconfirmed transaction from Dec. 17 originally, only this time, my receiving address is finally indicating an unconfirmed tx.

Update: retrieved all my private keys, but I haven't tried to double spend yet since electrum is showing that my coins are available for me to use, so I think one of the previous responses indicating it may be an Airbitz app problem may be correct.

Thank you again for your help folks.

17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Confused due to conflicting platform interpretations of TX status on: January 16, 2018, 02:25:55 PM
I have an Airbitz wallet account that I've been trying to empty since Dec.17, 2017. I accidentally set the fee too low and it has been pending ever since. Block explorer does not list the transaction as being present, while blockchain.info shows it as being unconfirmed. The TX was never dropped and I have been told by people that it's due to the rebroadcasting of the transaction through Airbitz, but Airbitz support says they do not rebroadcast and it's up to be nodes to drop the TX uniformly.

I go to multiple accelerators and I think some of them are clogged or are scams, and I am weary of using them, but one that I wanted to use, Hoolio, doesn't even recognize that the TX is available to accelerate. It simply says that the TX has confirmed. I've also gotten 404 errors on viabtc.

I've reached out to people in PM as a last ditch effort, but I want to understand what the heck is going on with this? Here's the TX ID for review.

18  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Airbitz on: January 16, 2018, 02:01:02 PM
I've been increasingly concerned about my bitcoins stored on this wallet. They are no longer focused on Airbitz and moving onto Edge, which is fair, but if my coins are still on AB and they do not plan on updating it, what happens with my coins? I'm trying to move them but accidentally set too low of a fee, and the remainder of my coins cannot be moved until this TX clears. It's been stuck since Dec. 17 and will not drop. Their support has not been helpful, and I'm trying to get some help. I don't believe Airbitz has CFPF.
