I just don't get why they still allow trading. I mean... This makes no sense - just fuels the panic

i think the opposite would bring more fud and thus far more panic, not adding the fact that disabling trading could be reproached to them more than letting it as is.

This is the news spreading twitter, I'm not sure if it is fud but apparently BTC-e is under investigation... looks serious enough:

It's Russia. They'll just pay few dollars to few ppl and everything will be fine.
a.k.a corruption...

Bonjour,

hello davout and all the bitcoin-central crew

What about the missing wallets ? These were said to be treated after the initial period of 90 days and some haven't been claimed.
I'm actually having like 80btc frozen at your company servers, and was curious about the way they are treated, and why they're missing.

Thanks for your response !

Someone I'm in contact with sent me a transaction from his Mt.Gox account to a missing instawallet of mine.
He has access to it actually and we are in contact (finally!).

How can he send me a proof that the transaction come indeed from him?
I'm not a user of Mt.Gox and according to him there is no way for him to provide a cryptographic evidence from a gox account.

edit : can I ask him to send to someone from Bitcoin Central staff a satoshi to prove he own that said address ?

Thanks for your input and response.

12  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Funds disappeared from electrum. "pruned transaction outputs" on: August 15, 2013, 05:04:22 PM
If this is still an issue try changing the server and if that doesn't work recover from seed...
exactly this, thanks for your contribution, i had the same issue as OP and switching server was enough to recover that pruned transaction.

1 confirmation and counting. Cheesy

Thank you Boussac, Davout and the team. I honestly didn't expect to get all my coins back when this happened and you have done what you said you would do whilst dealing with some pretty angry people.

Massive respect for everything you have done. It could not have been easy.

Congrats Wink Happy end for you but i assume there are many other left on the road.

i have been waiting and checking my mailbox all these weeks but I still have some missing wallets.
Most of them were already missing from the Instawallet Claim system already so I imagine they are investigating on these.

Some infos would be nice though. Do you guys @ Paymium have any sort of access to these wallets ? Can you check if they are still in your offline site, what's their balance, the ip they've been created through etc. Those infos could be crucial to eliminate who is impersonating real wallets holders.

I remember Boussac at some point in this thread posted about a form to fill for missing wallets.
Where is the work at on that front ?

Thank You,
Wordofmouth

Please DO NOT contact us unless you have a claim over 50 BTC.

Here is the text i get when I enter my missing wallets url's :

Quote
Wallet not found
Report a missing wallet

Your wallet maybe missing because it received funds only after April 1st when Instawallet was suspended.

If that is the case, please use the comment field to tell us the transaction that you would to be taken into account for a refund.

Please do not report a missing wallet if it did not receive any transaction.

Who should i contact to resolve this issue ? My missing wallets contained up to 45BTC.

Thanks in advance for your help,
15  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Instawallet claim process on: July 21, 2013, 06:29:44 PM
You need to go at your old INSTA address where you will have to press a button, without that no money you will see

If this answer is directed at me, then i have already done that... it is stated that i did that in my previous post

"I confirmed my payout was correct, again on the same day that you started asking everyone to do so."
The reason for the delay can only be multiple claims for the same wallet: we need to sort things out.
People with wallets under 50 BTC and no multiple claims on their wallets have been paid out.

Hi boussac,

I've addressed you my claims on the starting of this thread but still haven't heard about any solution.

I have a few missing wallets. They contain less than 50 BTC and havent been refunded at all.
What should I do ?

note : other wallets that were not missing have been refunded in full.

Thank You,
Wordofmouth

What about the missing wallets ?
Still no update about those and I have a bunch of missing wallets, some with quite large amounts.
Some were created way before the hack and are still not reachable.

Also, can I still fill a claim for one of them ? I have left some for the last minute, wishing and hoping they'll update during your examination but nothing came out and I can't now fill a claim for them. Any solution ?

Thank you davout/btc-central,

What fake currency are you talking about? it sounds like you know something we may not. Tell us!

Guess he's talking about this :

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Facebook_Credits

interesting read. Seems like Facebook is discontinuing the facebook credit idea and will refund all users in FIAT.

FinCen according to this wiki compares Facebook Credits to Bitcoin, in term of regulation at least..
