I got the script running but I have one problem. My password got the combination "/\" (without the ") in it and when ruby tries the different combinations the "/\" are not shown in the attemps.
so for example my pw is "hello/\" it only tries "hello". Are the "/\" just not shown or are they not tested at all? Thanks for help already

Edit: I'm quite desperate at the moment, cause I don't think I will find my PW that way ever again. Is there anyone out there who's trying different methods or is it just the same method like the ruby script but with faster hardware? I would even send my wallet.dat to a trustful person.

wie viele andere Personen habe ich das Problem, dass der BitcoinQT (Version 0.8.1 beta) Client mein Passwort nicht mehr annimmt. Ich bin mir sehr sicher über die ersten Stellen des PW und es kann sich allenfalls um 1-3 Stellen handeln, welche ich falsch eintippe bzw. nicht mehr erinnere.
Ich habe im englischen Forum über ein Ruby Script gelesen, welches die PWs durchgeht, bin aber technisch nicht versiert genug, um es zum laufen zu bringen bzw. verwende Win und nicht Linux.
Gibt es inzwischen ein Skript für Windows, welches die PW Möglichkeiten durchgeht? Ich will mein PW ja nicht "cracken", sondern nur Möglichkeiten durchgehen.
Ich wäre für jede Hilfe äußerst dankbar!
