Tommorow more news about Prime/POW2. Also Gulden is working on a project called 'Sonic' which should make the initial loading of desktop wallets a lot faster!

While I do agree Poloniex would give a 1000% boost to Gulden , It will be short term affair and people will be expected to buy Gulden at much higher prices. This wouldn't be fair on new people.
The advantage of Gulden having such a low price compared to other coins on Poloniex is that more people get to experience more natural growth.
That's your pro. Here's the con: NLG is trying to peg to fiat (a good strategy which I and others pointed out to devs) but unless there is a significant support at some psychological level, say 0.1 EUR or (better) 0.5 EUR, the general public won't take it seriously. There is one thing you keep forgetting. Gulden doesn't focus on crypto-users. We focus on the REAL general public. Honestly, we'll take our time and will grow slow but steady. Don't forget that a lot of European people like to save money, with POW2 the interest rate is a lot of higher than that of a bank. Soon services to help with saving money and getting interest with Gulden will pop-up, for those people that canīt install an Pi3 themselves. |

Actually Gulden has been quite stable around 2900 sats for somewhile (of course with some ups and downs, but the trend is around 2900). In comparision Gulden has only gone down around 5% while almost every other altcoin drops 10 to 30 points.
But don't worry, it won't be long untill the Euro exchanges are here and with POW2 being released you can bet the witness program will attract new users, especially Western Europeans love to save money against a good interest (much better than the banks these days).

They call it Gulden 2.0, not 'blockchain 2.0' nevertheless I think it earns that title as it adds a lot of new, unique and interesting features. Especially for the targetgroup that Gulden has in mind in the long-term: normal people. I'm happy with the steady progress Gulden has made over the past year. I'm very curious how Gulden 2.0 and the EUR-NLG exchanges are going to take effect on the coin  I'm holding for a long time, that's one thing I'm sure of! |

It's sad to see all of you people wasting your time on endless discussions, knowing none of you will ever agree with each other.
I say, do your own due diligence on Gulden and then invest or don't. Cut the crap for once, be an adult, and try to have some intelligence conversation about the product itself.

Coin is very much alive. Official ann is not permanently locked, it's locked during certain hours to avoid all the trolling. |

Not finding a good Gulden support thread so it was suggested I post here.
I just downloaded the wallet and it didn't catch up to a block chain. It says "No Block Source Available."
I notice that there doesn't seem to be an active Gulden thread here and I don't easily dig up one elsewhere.
I tried out the address the wallet gave me on a faucet and the faucet said in Dutch that the address was not
legitimate.
There doesn't seem to be any kind of "synch" happening with the wallet. I'm mining this coin and would like
to do due diligence on it in the here and now working of it today.
Not totally following you. What wallet did you download? Desktop or mobile? The chain should load farely quick normally. Faucet is still upgrading to 1.6.0 I believe, so not a reliable source to test anything. |

That's a lot of hate. But in fact, I have seen many negative reports regarding this crypto. If there is a premine, this should at least be something done in the most transparent way possible. I would not risk investing, especially now that Bitcoin is in a bull run.

But for the first time ever, after two matches won, did not get money back to my NLG Wallet - what can I do about it?
It was Wednesday - Middlesbrough vs Liverpool and Sunderland vs Chelsea - it was December 14th, Liverpool and Chelsea won, and I still did not get money for that - It is Decemver 17th ;-(
It is the first time ever, this happened to me, and want to make sure, everything is ok with Gulden.bet and of course would be happy to get this well deserved money on my wallet before I will bet again.

Serious Request is a family of annual multi-day, multimedia fundraising events for International Red Cross initiatives, typically hosted by radio stations in the week before Christmas. The project was begun in 2004 by Dutch public pop music radio station 3FM. Serious Request projects have since been adopted in Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden, Kenya, South Korea, Austria, Latvia and Portugal. During the Dutch 3FM Serious Request, three popular radio DJs are locked up for six days in a small temporary radio studio (the "Glass House"), placed in a main square in a different city each year. Living on a juice-only fast, the DJs make an interactive, themed broadcast around the clock, while regular programming on the station is suspended. Instead 3FM and its website are completely dedicated to the event, which is also transmitted as a continuous audio and video live-stream. Additionally there is television coverage, integration with social media, and a dedicated mobile app. Funds are raised in a few different ways. While the DJs are in residence, they play songs requested by listeners and visitors, in return for their donations. Celebrities and artists also donate personal possessions or performances, which are auctioned off. Straightforward donations are made into the project's bank-account, and by physical visitors depositing cash and cheques into the house's letterbox. Additionally, members of the public run a variety of supporting initiatives, and in some cities more glass houses are popping up.
