1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying an altcoin with fiat directly... anyone do this already? on: December 30, 2016, 03:15:00 AM
I read today that the Cex.io exchange has capability to buy with debit cards and credit cards. Fess are not that low though. You can also withdraw to them as well.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Question: How To Stay in USD When Not In A Bitcoin Trade? on: December 30, 2016, 03:03:05 AM
Go on Btc-e and palce a short and long position for the same amount. Its called going short against the box. You only have margin interest but it locks your price in.

When fiat finally goes digital people will pay with that and the demand for bitcoin could drop.

Maybe he will anonymously make another creation like a DAO. He could just tou with the community. I think that would be great.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Quantum Computing-Dominated World is Coming... (truncated) on: December 06, 2016, 07:37:10 PM
If quantum computing will be reality someday - and if this technology will be really good at breaking encryption, codes, algorithms - all kind of mathematical problems.
Then we are not the ones who should worry, whole banking system will be destroyed as they rely on encryption to keep their transactions and databases secure.

This is certainly true.

Quote
We have quantum processors - but they are horrible now, they need special conditions to operate (to be cooled to absolute zero and be free from any electromagnetic interference).

My point was that 'horrible', expensive and shielding requirements don't matter. The disaster occurs as soon as one exists with enough qbits. Presumably it's existence would be kept secret, but we'd know from the open research how close it was - and that by itself would be enough to cause problems.

tl;dr: without implementation of qc resistant systems, the effects will occur at the tip of research - not when we all have a qc on our desk.

Bitcoins will begin to disappear all of a sudden and it will be a big mystery. Thats how we will know its quantum computing. The price of bitcoin could crash if we are not prepared.

6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please teach me how to grow my bitcoin on: December 06, 2016, 07:30:49 PM
I'm usually spend 10% of my main salary to invest on bitcoin

Sometimes, gamble made a quick profit but it's not worth of it's risk except that you already aware the risk
I guess it was a good thing, but I probably will invest 30% of the salary I receive for bitcoin. Well, maybe gamble a lot of people make a lot of money quickly, but, gambling has a very high risk. I prefer to make bitcoin growth that I have to be faster by means of trading

Dont believe all these people male money gambling. The odds are heavily against you. Unless you are in a gambling sig campaign I guess Grin
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 21 millions bitcoin in question on: December 06, 2016, 07:24:33 PM
Ok for the miners as they can mine more bitcoin but not for holders, the added bitcoin to mine will push the price to lower so if you buy it at $750 to one bitcoin you'll only get $400 for one bitcoin and of course how many millions people will get disappointed seeing the price drop..

The lost Bitcoin does not disappear. Never. It just sits there, in the wallets, and nothing else happens. This is one of the disadvantages of Bitcoin: the fact that the money is limited. Many, many people will lose their wallets on a long term, so a lot of Bitcoin will be lost. Nobody needs to even want this - it can happen to any of us. For example, a thief can steal the book or notebook or computer or whatever you got in which you stored your passwords but your Wallet ID. In the next second, your wallet can be gone forever. So that amount you had in your wallet is vanished now. This obviously can push the price down, but only if a big amount of Bitcoin will be lost resulting in less Bitcoins available.

It would push the price up because of less supply.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is being told to people in High Schools about Bitcoin on: December 06, 2016, 07:18:20 PM
Kids in High School dont listen to anything. They think they know it all. I wish I was young so I could know everything again!
