1  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Xapo or blockchain? on: October 24, 2017, 06:50:35 PM
Yeah once again i believe that regular  people dont have conditions to hold on home a paper wallet with reviver seed for his Trezor device encrypting 100 thousand to half millions dollars bitcoin, because this Will BE the Next price on comming years.
Terrorists, thiefes, robbers, hurricanes, floods, fireing , kidnap, torture, extorsion, governments, authorities...wow so many things average persons cant control....

Well for this Xapo works fine and they give you opportunity to send to a Fiat internal wallet on the currency you wish, if bitcoin prices reach to a point you consider Good . On other wallets you need to send coins to a exchange and this take time..and on crypto time os money..
2  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Xapo or blockchain? on: October 24, 2017, 01:44:55 AM
In this moment Xapo is safest one
I'm considering them as the safest but I'm a practical person. Their fees are even higher than electrum which is also a good wallet but if I'm going to choose, I would prefer the cheapest one and that is blockchain.info. They are also trusted and one of the most popular web wallet that I can trust with but I'm not going to let all my bitcoins stay there.

Who os Electrum wallet owner? Trust for trust i Will trust on Trezor and Mycellium to spend however once again you Will need a paper wallet that could BE Stolled, wiped in water floods or burned in fires or destroyed um hurricanes or earthquakes...

Xapo owner is a well know entrepeneur in silicone valey and  one of PayPal directors. We dont own the private keys but  know to who we are trusting it.

Well its expensive but Security have a price. I never heard before about Electrum wallet to have bunkers spread around different continents to store 85% of coins on coldstorage and a satéllite to do surveillance to website.
3  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Xapo or blockchain? on: October 24, 2017, 01:39:51 AM
If Governement, police or thiefes comes to your house they can stole your printed cold storage private keys

I can hide my paper wallets everywhere I want, and there isn't even a single chance of anyone finding out where they are. I could even write down my private keys in several parts, where each part is hidden in a different place -- believe me, no one will ever find it, even if I voluntarily allow the police to search my entire house. Wink Other than that, I don't care how secure Xapo's location is where they store people's coins -- main point of importance is that you are no longer the sole owner of your private keys, and that's the biggest negative aspect that there is. No matter how much nonsense you come up with in your post, there is no point into making people believe that storing coins in Xapo's service is better than your own cold storage forms....

There is a danger of hearthquake, floods, fire incidents and other natural disaster that can took your bitcoin Forever. Also your enemys can apply torture on you to reve al your papers location, luckly you Will survivor, In my case they Will have to kill me because i dont know mypasswords.

Well after all this Security, coldstorage bunkers, and space satellite surveillance,  its true we dont own the private Key, but at least we know the Xapo owner. Wences Casares is just one of the PayPal directors and a well know high tech entrepeneur in silicone valey.

4  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Xapo or blockchain? on: October 23, 2017, 06:00:10 PM
In this moment Xapo is safest one as you can see here :

They save more the 85% of coins in cold storage in swiss military bunkers splitted on different continents. Means your private key will be splitted too for different continents.
As seen here :

https://qz.com/1103310/photos-the-secret-swiss-mountain-bunker-where-millionaires-stash-their-bitcoins/

If Governement, police or thiefes comes to your house they can stole your printed cold storage private keys  and in Xapo this is too much harder to happen . So physicly Xapo security is much higher and online is similar or pretty higher because regarding website Xapo rented a methereological Satelitte and  is using it as alarm to check if website is under silent attack one day ...

Well that said, the disadvantages of Xapos are only for those whose those Bitcoins are not clan or the money they are using to upload Xapo to buy Bitcoins is from suspicious source or if you dont identify your self on  properlyand honest way, trying to openning different accounts  with fake ids and things like that  then they can seize your freeze your account until you identify your self clearly and honestly!

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Where to download Blockchain for BCN Bytecoin wallet? on: March 15, 2017, 11:14:12 AM
Where do we can download Blockchain to copy past it to the BCN Bytecoin wallet folder and make it faster to synch the wallet as explained on Bytecoin official website here? :

Install blockchain

To synchronize your Bytecoin software with the network faster, you may download blockchain file.

1. Unpack the downloaded archive.

2. Move the extracted files to the standard Bytecoin folder (replace existing files if necessary):
Windows: C:\Users\%user_name%\AppData\Roaming\bytecoin\
OSX/Linux: ~/.bytecoin/

3. Relaunch your Bytecoin software.

https://bytecoin.org/docs/blockchain/

Iam asking because if we click on https://bytecoin.org/downloads/   then on Extras  Blockchain (for all platforms) it redirect you to :

https://mega.nz/#!NUxk0YTJ!9Mv1kj0GtOw542kLLCaCXLuZWmc5AUNNtvm0j52TBpM    and blockchain is not available to download there!

Anyone knows where to download the blockchain for Bytecoin? Well it is the same blockchain that BTC Bitcoin use?

YEs i know there are simple alternatives wallet to altcoins and BCN Bytecoin, however you never own the coins with them! You are just trusting the coins to them and if they disappear then you lose all your coins, so not a solution for a long term BCN Bytecoins saving security wallet sollution.  This official one is the only one who provides the private keys since it is based on Blockchain!

This is not a scam as some say created for pump and dump to make creators richer! This is an amazing technology https://bytecoin.org/documentation/ more perfectioned  then BTC bitcoin it self for present and future utilizations and its now on 2.0 version:

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some knows a wallet that still work for Bytecoin BCN ? on: March 15, 2017, 10:56:21 AM
All Bytecoin websites are down . . . What happenned to the wallets  of all users ? Are they lost ?

Some knows a wallet that still work for Bytecoin BCN ?

Honestly, bytecoin has been a known scam or a long time. They made the coin very cheap and set up block rewards were the most when the currency started (by a LOT). They then pumped the price several times to make a profit. Also, they claimed it had been used on the deep web for years, yet no one at all at heard about it. It was a get rich quick scheme which was only mine on minergate and had a shockingly bad command line wallet. Why are you surprised?

Well..., i can´t see why they would choose to make it Bytecoin BCN worth less and pump and dump to make a few thousands when they could get millions!

On another hand this BCN Bytecoin is an awsome unique technology and looks like even better then Bitcoin BTC! This promess man! However as supply is 1000 times bigger and at same time it give you 100 times more coins in this point then Bitcoin Btc use to give you in the beginning, it means it can take 10 more year then bitcoin to start worth something atractive.

So why not keep mining and save it?

That saying, we need a safe wallet to save it during 10 years, and for that we need a Blockchain based wallet that actually they provide
 https://bytecoin.org/docs/bytecoin-wallet/
( not one of that pseudo wallet like Eobot and other that you never own the private keys so you odnt own the coins you just trust your coins to a website that can disappear with your coin forever!)

The problem is it takes forever to synch blockchain with the wallet unless we can download the blockchain and copy it to the Bytecoin wallet folder as explained here:
https://bytecoin.org/docs/blockchain/

They have a link https://mega.nz/#!NUxk0YTJ!9Mv1kj0GtOw542kLLCaCXLuZWmc5AUNNtvm0j52TBpM  to download blockchain but unfortunally is not available anymore!

that will make if faster to synch!

Looks like the website os up again https://www.bytecoin.org

I can see more the 5 thousand miners working on it....

I wish to helieve it will become a Bitcoin II story, like a deja vú...

In a few years will be no more possible to mine with Gpu then will be when the price will start climbing exactly has it happened with Bitcoin! People say Satoshi Nakamotto owns more then a million bitcoin, who cares if it was him who premoned it or it was on a different way around...?

Was not Bitcoin on this state for so much longer and then it becamed what it becamed ? Well the project loks like abandoned  but some can pick it up anytime isnt it ?  Looks like it get worth for POS transactions confirmations for example adn i think thats is valuable on long term since some one discovery it potential . . .

Even after the allegued pum and dump price by creators . . . the technollogy in it self looks like so ro more advanced then tradition bitcoin isnit ?
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / How come bytecoin website is down and project looks abandoned and 5 K miners on? on: March 02, 2017, 10:38:22 AM
Something is wrong. How come bytecoin website is down and project looks abandoned and 5 K miners still mining ?

How come even a Bytecoin wallet is not available on internet ?

How come rethink-your-strategy bitcoin forum member claim he has proof Bytecoin is a scam https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=740112.0 , however more then 5 thousand users still mining just on minergate pool BCN  ?

Everyone can google it the post he worte searching Blowing the lid off the CryptoNote/Bytecoin scam (with the exception of Monero), and after all more then 5000 users are still mining Bytecoin ?

 How come ?
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / It worth to invest in Bytcoin ( BCN ) mining and save it and wait a few year? on: March 01, 2017, 03:21:37 PM
It worth to invest in  Bytcoin mining and save it and wait a few year?

with 2 laptops at 47 hs  i can mine 578 Bytcoin per day !

What is the future of this coin ? Some say it is very similar to bitcoin . . .

Worth more to mine QUazarcoin or Digitalnote or MonetaVerde or Fantomcoin or Bytcoin regarding quantity of coins  mined with low spec hardware resources . .  and possible applys on the future  and a possible increase on its value ??
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Minergate vs Nicehash on: January 21, 2017, 07:28:15 PM
Looks like to mine Monero on NiceHash you need an appart software provided by them:

Source:

https://github.com/nicehash/Specifications/blob/master/NiceHash_CryptoNight_modification_v1.0.txt

I dont know what a hell that mean: "....II. Concept
-----------

Because there is no no extranonce1 and extranonce2, for NiceHash to
properly work with CryptoNight, we need to cut off 1 byte of nonce for
NiceHash, the rest - 3 bytes are for miners.

Iterating through 3 bytes gives 256 * 256 * 256 ~ 16M possibilities. If a
coin has 120 seconds block time, that gives us 16M / 120 = 140k/s, which
means that a single miner can be as fast as 140 kH/s before things go
wrong (miner starts making duplicate work). Since CryptoNight algorithm is
very slow and best miners reach around 1 kH/s at max, it is safe to cut
off 1 byte of iteration for NiceHash.

Unfortunately, currently available mining software is not adjusted for
this modification. It is a simple modification, but has to be performed,
else miners would get shares above target.  "

Iam confused!I calculated here   https://www.nicehash.com/?p=calc for AMD RX 470 4GB, but H/s it gave me is 25 Mh/s for DaggerHashimoto and nothing avoyt XMR!
So...in this XMR calculator, where it ask Hashrate H/s, should i put 2500 H/s considering prior values as reference?

http://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/monero-mining-calculator/?h=2500.00&p=120.00&pc=0.19&pf=0.00&d=5604651991.00000000&r=9.12932473&er=0.01381600&btcer=844.54000000&hc=250.00
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Wich one is the best GPU to mine MONERO in nicehash or minegate site? on: January 14, 2017, 01:17:54 PM
Dears Altcoin minning experts:

Wich one is the best GPU(considering mining power and ROI(return over investment, eletric consuption  per hour, to mine MONERO in nicehash or minegate site?

I can have eletricity at 25 cents € per 1000 watts hour between 8 am and 10 pm and 11 cents  € per 1000 watts  or per  1 KW hour between 10 pm and 8 am!

Can i use those GPU cards as externals GPU on my LAPTOP by usb or something? I heard before people who burn out laptop mining with  external GPU but that was for Bitcoin mining attemptives with that hardware, not with Altcoins!  ???What you experts  have  to say about it ? Roll Eyes

i think you can make compare by visiting in nicehash website and see for the GPU you mean, the link is on https://www.nicehash.com/?p=calc

i don't know if GPU cards be using as externals GPU on your laptop because as far as i know, the GPU is inside with motherboard and we can make modification for the cpu. i don't recommended to use your laptop to mining because you can burn out your laptop and its better if you build new cpu but with 4-6 GPU cards inside that cpu so you can start mining coins.

I did calculation for this ones AMD RX 470/RX 480 , with nicehash calculater for Average eletricity price 0.17 cents 1kw/ hour, it shows me  a RoI in a year, however it dont display XMR, how will i know the ROI for XMR?
16  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How come HAshOcean owners mining scammers run away with 200 Million BTC ? on: January 13, 2017, 04:17:38 PM
You know. Its hard to trace the scammer because they are using bitcoin. That will take a long ti.e to trace. HashOcean is just hyip ponzi scheme. They are paying at first and thats makes it more attractive to invest. I think they are over 100,000 of investors were scammed. And then they'd just close for no reason and ran away with their investments. This incident makes us more aware about any kind of investments.

No! They payed all up to the end, up to the last day the website disappear! You can see others hashocean but that its other scammings prettending to be hashocean asking 5 or 10$ bitcoin to make proof of account to receive refund.

Original hashocean.com payed up to the end, the day they disapeared!less the refund!
17  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How come HAshOcean owners mining scammers run away with 200 Million BTC ? on: January 13, 2017, 04:13:59 PM
total suply bitcoin only 21 million bitcoin
so if imposible if hashocean can hold and run bitcoin investor until 200 million bitcoin
if investor until reach 200 maybe yes, but can't hold and run bitcoin, because total suply only 21 million bitcoin

It was a Misstype sorry...200 million dollars in Bitcoin
18  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How come HAshOcean owners mining scammers run away with 200 Million BTC ? on: January 13, 2017, 12:35:08 PM
How come HAshOcean owners mining scammers run away with 200 Million BTC, and even after thousands of FBI, Interpol and local authorities international claims,  the case seems forgetted or archived in somewhere investigators desk ?

How have do  they done it so perfectly that they are able to still hide from everyone? 200 millions in BTC is not enought inspiration to catch them ?

Iam wonder, what kind of life this scammers are living? Do they do a normal life as any everyday person?

Do they dont fear to be shooted by someone who privatly investigate on their owns using psychics as investigators helpers or some and other tech specialists, since scientific one alone looks like they are not able to  acomplish to find them ? Do they real believe they did it sucessfull and they are safe now and no one can do nothing more about it ?

First of all they ran away with 5.2 mln in USD value of bitcoin and not 200 millions in BTC. Second these scammers all they think about is how to scam people, they pull off the perfect scam unfortunately and no matter lots of warnings regarding them from many different users of the forum, including me people didn't care and their greediness make them lose money in the end.

As per if they fear to be shooted, no one took them this much seriously cause if anybody would have done so, now they would be dead ,all of them.

Yes, but if Bitcoin is so traceable, as everyone says,  how come they was not found yet?

Some investigators found that they were actually minning, because they was able to trace payemments back, how ever it was a ponzi at same time, because Ponzi is this, mixing a real bisness profits with new investors money to pay promess profits as they was able to do during almost 2 years with out failling. No way to a self pro claimed Ponzi schemme last so longer with out being a real Ponzi schemme it means mixing money or asset value from a real bisness..., thats why so many have trusted on a Ponzi Schemme . .

Only 5.2 Millions only ?  Some Hackers compannys as Dunn & Cowan and Kypertech told they know who they were, where they were , that they were working on with authorities, then suddently they quit because authorities told they could compromising the investigation as they was releasing info, daily  on Tweeter and facebook . . . , this silence is disturbing . . .  That hashocean  admins offered them 100 BITcoins to be quit . . .

This company who offered to help for 100 BTC was found to be another desperate group of scammers but their scamming attempt was unsuccessful as people are not stupid and immediately did a bit of research on them to find out that they didn't have any means to trace back to Hashocean owners, unless they were the same persons trying to ask for another 100 btc to be added to their pot. They are long forgotten now and a few mixing with bitcoin mixers or exchanging the coins for Monero can do wonders that's why they are still free to this day.

Well.. if you are talking Dunn & Cowan and Kypertech, then you are confuse! They didnt ask nothing to Hashocean . They were costummers as us and they lost more then 100 thounsand dolllars with Hashocean ! However they are a ligitim companny with open office and their services is helping other compannys with Hacker issues ! They didnt ask nothing to none to found or trace HashOcean. . but during the investigation, Hashocean admins offer them 100 bitcoins to stop! Has they dont accepeted , then Hashoceans Admins exposed to them their famillys and their famillys facebooks as Threats . . . and they  stopped and at same time authorities told them to stop publishing information of their victories everyday on social media, regarding unmask Hashocean owners . . . .
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you store your bitcoins? on: January 13, 2017, 12:16:59 PM
It is risky but you can certain small amount kept on exchanges.
Why is that good? You can react fast if dump occurs or wait for alts to wake up like Dogecoin recently

Just dont get goxxed. Only keep on the exchange what you would use for trading. If you dont controll the private key, they are not your coins, but a mere promise from someone you probably dont even know.
Yes its is risky but how to trade without exchanges?
All those manipulations can increase your holding at the end.. Why not take advantage of that?

There are wallets as Xapo, that allow you to convert your bitcoins to FIAT rigth away, however the fund will stay on that wallet, if you need to withdrawl it , then you need to convert to BTC again, and send it to some external exchanges .

Robust Indian Bitcoin infrastructure

Unlike many regions, the Indian Bitcoin market has a robust Bitcoin infrastructure, with reputable and regulated Bitcoin exchanges including Zebpay, Coinsecure and Unocoin. The three venture capital-backed exchanges have provided the necessary infrastructure for local investors to trade Bitcoin with ease.    "
