When you roll a dice, the chances to hit such number is 1/6 (16,7%), why? because you want 1 number among 6.
what if I had a dice with 100 sides and want any number but one. them I'll have 99/100 (99%) chances. It means that I'll almost every time hit the number different than one. But it also can happen to get the number one. It's all about luck..
Now you want to bet. OK! You rather bet on the 6 sides dice and if win get 6 times your HIGH bet or the 100 sides dice and get 100 times your LOW bet? It's all about the choice you make. It ins't meant to be the BEST method, it's only a choice you can go.
You can see a lot of setting simulating on the spreadsheet. It's on .xlsx extension (excel)
