Thank you Colaxais & AcceptWorldcoins for your responses. Using the old wallet could possibly resolve my problem.
I got the network alert when launched v0.8.6.1-30-g7ca106d-beta version from your link. Is it safe to use that version? No hardfork occurred since or is going to?
edit: I compiled also v0.8.6.2-g55c5572-beta and got the same alert.
If I remember correctly, 0.8.6.2 is the oldest wallet you can use. 0.8.6.2 is fine though, as v1 and higher are optional right now. Sorry I'm not sure about compiling them etc. - perhaps someone more tech-savvy can weigh in on that. As long as you've got your wallet backed up, you shouldn't have any issues though I'd imagine!

I have to try it. Looking good. How can I get those 10 WDC ?
The little present icon on the left should let you enter a captcha and get 10 WDC.

Congrats on getting it up and running! Is there a non-setup version of 8.6.2 available? I hate wallet installers.... I don't think so, unless you know how all the stuff on github works, I'd imagine. I think it's all just focused on being as user friendly as possible.

Awesome - sitesthatacceptworldcoin.com lists merchants that accept WDC, so you could add your site on there for some extra exposure.

You'll find that the WDC community is very active, just less so on here (honestly, I check this forum far less than before since all the scams and shills really set up shop here). If you're looking for up to date information, look at http://www.worldcoinalliance.net/ - you can find information, links to the forums and all social media accounts here, and the Committee is very open with the community. You'll notice in the latest discussions, a more marketing-focused approach should be kicking in over the next few months. The focus before that has been strengthening the coin, rather than trying to get attention and draw in investors with promises to strengthen the coin.

I haven't see dev for a very long time.So i guess WDC is a dead coin..I have 10K WDC and now they just become some bubble.
That's a pretty interesting guess considering that just by reading this page that you're replying to, you can find the forum and twitter addresses where you can read weekly updates on any progress the devs (and the rest of the team) are making...

any news coming on WDC? It is dirt cheap now, at one time it went as high as 1 dollar i believe, will it ever go back to that price?
The $1 mark was a Fontase pump n' dump if I remember right, and then Scharmbeck sent it down the toilet unfortunately. However, the new Committee is plugging away quietly on different things, making sure that the infrastructure is there first, rather than making sweeping promises. I got into WDC after it took a tumble, as I think it's got the chance to do pretty well with the team working on it now. I'd say getting back to the $1 mark without manipulation is definitely possible in the future. If you want news, their twitter account is worth keeping an eye on: https://twitter.com/wdcalliance

When people actively attack your services, it means you're doing something right. Hopefully the Committee keep up the outstanding work they've been doing.

Anyone else had issues with http://mint.hashrapid.com/ ? They changed servers, kept previously mined coins on the old server (apparently), wouldn't send a password reset email when my password didn't work, locked me out of my account after my password was apparently incorrect, and don't reply to support requests. Looking very much like they're trying to pull a fast one.

When trading started, for every solo mined block (of 90~ coins which are mined every 30 seconds), you could make about a BTC. That's 1 BTC for every 30 seconds in coins mined. I wonder who got a load of those early coins, while everyone was struggling with that botched/shady release - the devs of the coin, perhaps?

The trading fees look nice, the site is fast; I would deposit a bit if WDC got added to the site.

Are there going to be any more new beta members brought in before the site goes live?

Never cease to be impressed by the WDC community, and their devs. Nice to see a really worthwhile cause getting picked up, too.

Nice little addition to, from what I hear, is a nice exchange

He's managed to change "Coinye West" to the "gay fish coin" - he definitely made someone look stupid...
