but is that your site and the jumpstart is real?

https://stratisplatform.net

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1512202.msg17305804#msg17305804

Please read my previous post, it is fake and phishing site made by scammers/hackers, do not trust them,

the only official link:  http://stratisplatform.com/

that guy was scammed by 0.22 btc, what a pity, I hope no one will be scammed any more. Always check the OP to get the official website.

thank you, so STRATIS JUPSTART does not exist. IT IS A PERFECT SCAM

It was indeed well thought out, specially the "one-time use" token to increase the chances you follow the link, lest you lose your "one-time" access... On top of that, the scammers benefited from a good set of favorable circumstances that could cloud people's mind and make them bypass their usual checks:the recent acceleration in the ongoing BTC pump(close to the holidays to boot), which would drive people to want to accrue more BTC quickly(and probably prompted the scammers to act now), the fact that Poloniex listed the coin recently, the fact that they could copy STRATIS' website so well and register TWO instances of their copy as a .net website that looks legit(hell, even the emails sent to the addresses on the site don't come back as undelivered... They just, obviously, don't answer. All in all, very elaborate scam), the proximity to the holidays coupled to the 29th deadline, knowing that Support, specially on Poloniex, would be slow around Christmas, etc... Looks like the only people who were lucky in 2016 were the ones with dubious intentions... This looks to have been months in the making, specially given how well they were able to duplicate the real website. Maybe the jumpstart offer was real at some point, probably why they selected STRATIS out of all the coins to use as a scam bait, coupled with the recent listing on Poloniex. All I can do now is make my pain the community's gain. Prior to my post, googling "Stratis jumpstart" netted no relevant result. Now, my post warning about the scam is the 1st hit. I have been the Guinea pig(a lot of it my own fault, their mind-clouding methods worked a treat on me), but now, the community has been warned.  The Poloniex guys have replied to me too, and told me they would do some warning of their own. I hope that, during the 4 days between me being scammed out of my money on the Internet for the 1st time ever, and my posting, not too many others got their money stolen.  It is a good lesson in crypto:unlike traditional scam attempts, where it is a lot more difficult to impersonate a company, and there are lots of clues along the way making it obvious it is a scam(hence my unblemished record prior to that), a coin project is an easier target, and with the anonymous and immediate nature of crypto... Lesson learned. Be 600% vigilant. Always talk to the guys behind a project and do some thorough research prior to any kind of investment. Do not care about any kind of deadline.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BEWARE OF ELABORATED STRATIS SCAM!!! on: December 26, 2016, 04:37:42 PM
You must have been mistaken, nowhere am I accusing the Stratis people of any wrongdoing, just saying that the emails at info@stratisplatform.net were not answered. On the contrary, I want to help the platform, and others. I have reported the site to Google, and asked Poloniex to make an announcement, given that their name is used in that scam. Just want the word to be spread. It was just me not being careful enough with that token. Even the .net site is a fake, while I thought it was just an alternative to the .com one. It was just well thought out: e-mail close to Christmas, to make sure any question asked to support would be slow to answer, email addressed to me and just me, using Poloniex(which is the most baffling part, but I guess it was just a coincidence in the end, given that part of the scam was using the fact that Poloniex recently listed it), perfect copy of your website, using a deadline close enough to the holidays to make people hasty, no mention of any previous scam attempt on Google(which I am trying to change, and it looks like I am succeeding, as, prior to my post, any search of "Stratis jumpstart" netted no relevant result, while my post is now the 1st hit). Just wanted to warn others and spread the word. Congrats to the thief for managing to get me to fall for an Internet scam for the 1st time ever since I've started using the Internet in the late 90s, thanks to a favorable convergence of circumstances, but I want to help limit his end-of-year profit.  Hope I have made myself clear. My apologies if there were any confusion in my wording.

Thanks for letting us know, I will spread the word on slack.

Sucks for your loss Sad.

Merry christmas

Irritating, but I'll live. Wasn't careful enough. The lesson learned is, always contact the people behind a project 1st, before entering any scheme. For now, I just want to help minimize the thieves' profit. Thanks to you and StratisKing for spreading the word. I have already reported the site to Google. So, even the other .net one is a fake... Explains why all my emails have netted no answer so far.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / BEWARE OF ELABORATED SCAM WHICH USES STRATIS AS A BAIT!!! on: December 26, 2016, 02:14:18 PM
Hello. I have been a longtime lurker, but I have to quickly warn the community. This is to alert all would-be STRATIS investors of a new, elaborated scam I may have fallen victim to, as per Poloniex' latest answer to me on the issue. I had written STRATIS about it at info@stratisplatform.net, but didn't get any answer as of now(edit: even the site Poloniex thought was real, is a fake, which explains the silence). It uses the STRATIS jumpstart offer as a bait. THIS IS NOT AN ATTACK ON STRATIS. Just a warning that someone is using their platform(and Poloniex' name)as a bait. This is the email I received on Thursday, with the subject "Quick profit for 2017":

To take part in Stratis Jumpstart and make 50%+ profit on your deposit, enter your token here:

https://stratis-platform.net/jumpstart/X14JUAB6

https://twitter.com/Poloniex/status/810703765955289088

Sincerely,
The Poloniex Team and Stratis

Obviously, I checked on Google and all to see if it wasn't a scam, and could see that the jumpstart offer was legit and there was no result showing a scam related to STRATIS. Furthermore, the email was sent to me and me only, unlike the usual scammer trick of sending to different addresses in a single email, which further enhanced my confidence. Nobody knows I am a registered Poloniex user except Poloniex staff. The scammer also sent it close to Christmas to make people hasty and any staff answer delayed by the holidays. So, despite wanting to 1st contact Poloniex, I went ahead and attempted to register, depositing some money. Here is what happened, as I told Poloniex(and STRATIS at info@stratisplatform.net):

Hello. I received your mail about the Stratis Jumpstart offer. My token is X14JUAB6. I followed the link, then followed the procedure, sending 0.22323319 BTC to address 15bxXiKRzHd5ahE9P8fHB5GbMrZXtRv3AC thru transaction ID a16cd401bc37dc5ee3eb71298cff9fd32e32d947ade6e336a557776ee12d3a71. For the past hour, it has been stuck at 0 confirmations out of 3 on the Jumpstart page(step 3), while it has been confirmed 8 times on the blockchain in the same timeframe. I didn't refresh the page during that time, as I thought that something might finally happen, to no avail. I'd like you to fix this ASAP and confirm my entry into the Stratis Jumpstart scheme, or refund my BTC to address3EMpcLaWx7JdiyoKPargZNFjPDpCdES8Nh, as I sent the money directly from my BitStamp online wallet. I have attached all the relevant pictures.Thank you.

Thank you for getting in touch.

I am sorry but there appears to be some confusion -- which email are you referring to? Was this from Poloniex? As far as I know we have not taken part in any affiliation or crowdsales for Stratis. Can you please let us know the details your received and from whom they originated?

Best regards,

I am very sorry, but it appears that you have fallen victim to a scam website. We never sent this email and are not affiliated with STRATIS past the point of having it listed on our platform.

The website link you provided goes to https://stratis-platform.net/jumpstart/ -- this is not the official website for STRATIS, which is actually https://stratisplatform.net. You will see that if you click the link to main page at top of the page your provided me with, it loads the original site in a windowed box, portraying this 'scam' website to be part of it.

I am very sorry but if you have sent BTC to this site I am afraid it may be lost.

Best regards,

Kevin
Poloniex Support

Now, I wonder how the scammer knew the way to target me that specifically, knowing I was a Poloniex member and all that. I asked Poloniex if there wasn't any database breach on their side. The website looks perfectly identical, and even links to the original. So, I got scammed out of 0.22 BTC, but I want to make sure it's all that thief gets for his "quick profit for 2017" on the back of STRATIS, and nobody else falls for it, at least those who can read it here and spread the word. Thank you.
