Sorry to say it but you missed to reply to my question or you don't want to?

What if it's btc I want to buy with cash and that's why I'm here? Makes sense doesn't it? ATMs take a large fee, exchanges and other in-person services reveal identity, lots of legitimate reasons I'd want to use cash with trusted escrow to buy btc even if it's not as common. Very polite guess though Wink

If I want to buy some physical items here on the marketplace, are there trusted members who can act as escrow? If so, can I mail them cash, like actual dollar bills, which they would hold on to until they have the physical items, then escrow forwards the physical items to me and ships the cash to the seller?

Escrows approval might depend on what kind of physical item is involved. I know there are lots but might be better if you give examples, at least, of those "physical items" you want to consider purchasing here in this section.

My suggestion is to try to find a much convenient way if possible like checking your local's marketplace (either on any platform) to save you from a hassle method. As for legitimacy, try to deal in meetup or COD in your area. If overseas, then check reviews and enhanced your DYOR skills about the seller.

Do many deals on here take place in person in the US especially if they involve more value?

Accepting physical cash has lot of difficulties and disadvantages, never knew anyone in this forum doing escrow for cash deals. But you cam try with the escrow mentioned above but physical cash may never be accepted atleast you need to use bank wire transfer and also you have to accept all the fee.

Not only it will be expensive solution but also i don't think all the escrow providers will be willing to accept this and share their real Names, location and and bank details.
Why not use bitcoin instead of the dollars and fiat ?

How would it be expensive and how would anyone have to share their bank details, it's cash, and it costs 50 cents to mail a letter.
