There's really only one solution available to control this uncontrollable urge and that is to stop gambling at all. Once you get to the point where you no longer can control your gambling habit it has already become an addiction, and it's a serious problem that you have to deal with as soon as possible.

Yes, that's exactly what gambling companies want from you, to get you addicted and suck all your money until you have nothing left. There's no secret about it. We can talk all day about moral aspects of gambling industry but that's for a different topic.

The thing is, no one is forcing you to gamble your money. To you, it feels that way because you're addicted so you feel like you have no control. But you've got to realize that every time you are gambling/betting it was your decision to do so and you've got to take responsibility for it. Sure, gambling companies will try and do the best they can to entice you to start gambling your money using all kinds of methods, more or less ethical but ultimately legal. But at the end of the day, you are the one who take the decision, you are the one in control of your life and your money.

You keep doing something that's hurting you and just can't seem to stop it, that's exactly what an addiction does to you. I recommend calling for help as soon as possible, otherwise the situation can degenerate even more. Either a friend, family member, physiologist and if none of these are available there are plenty of resources you can find online for free to help you.
3  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cryptoreaper.io----We have created a gambling website on: April 13, 2024, 06:15:15 PM
I understand right now this whole project is just an experiment but to be honest it really did not make a good first impression. Terrible design, little to no information available, and lots of important functions missing from what is supposed to be gambling website. You did not come up with a new idea and what you have created has nothing special about it, so I see no reason why people would start playing on your platform, even if it was just for testing purposes.

You should start working on improving the UI and add some extra features such as a contact page, multiple login options, multiple games, terms and conditions so at least it starts looking and feeling like a genuine gambling website. I think you've released your website to the public too early, which is not necessarily a bad thing for you since you'll get some much necessary feedback, but there is no point in promoting it since there's nothing to show for it at the current moment.

so in the future I would recommend using a fee slightly higher than minimum average to make sure your transaction gets confirmed quicker even in cases of fee jumps like yesterday.
There is no need to pay higher than the required fee, unless you are in a hurry and you want to make sure that your transaction will be confirmed in the next block. Instead, I recommend using a wallet that supports RBF, so that you can easily replace your transaction with a new one paying higher fee.
Paying only the required fee is enough in most cases but since the fees are also fluctuating you can sometimes end up in a situation such as the one in the OP. I always used to pay the lowest required fee, depending on how congested the network was, and it happened multiple times for my transaction to get stuck for a much longer period of time than expected. So, just in case you want to avoid any delays and make sure you get the required confirmations within a couple of hours it does not hurt to pay a slightly higher fee. As far as I'm aware RBF only works if you are the sender, so you can't use it while withdrawing BTC from a website for example.

From my experience none of the free accelerators found online work, expect for ViaBTC, but your tx fee is still too low to be accepted there. And other than ViaBTC and Binance paid accelerators there aren't any other reputable services you can try. Mempool accelerator seems trustworthy and offers lower prices but it seems like their service is still not running, it's been like that for months now.

Compared to current average fees, your fee is not very low and it's been already more than 24 hours since it was broadcasted. The fees are currently still getting higher during the day but they should start dropping after midnight, and I predict your transaction will get confirmed within the next 12-24 hours. From personal experience, even when using low fees, I've rarely had or seen transactions go unconfirmed more longer than 24-36 hours, unless using an extremely low fee(1-10sat/vB). So, unless this is an emergency, I would not worry about your transaction remaining unconfirmed for much longer.

I hope that it will clear out soon Smiley And I do hope you're right. Its crazy that every time it get close the fees goes up

As predicted, it took less than 12 hours for the transaction to be confirmed. No reason to panic in such situations, as long as you have paid a decent fee your transaction will get accepted at some point. This time you had some bad luck broadcasting your transaction at just the the wrong time and it got stuck for a while, so in the future I would recommend using a fee slightly higher than minimum average to make sure your transaction gets confirmed quicker even in cases of fee jumps like yesterday.

10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't make your bets when you're tired on: April 01, 2024, 06:26:33 AM
That's a great advice to follow if you want to make sure your balance doesn't vanish in one go. It happened to me multiple times to start betting late at night while being tired and lose my entire balance because I simply was too tired to take rational decisions. Sleepiness and tiredness slows down your thought process, therefore it will be harder for you to take good and responsible decisions while gambling and it's easier than ever to lose control.

11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Give Away Bitcoin To Avoid Estate Tax on: March 31, 2024, 09:03:47 PM
The government can collect taxes on Bitcoin and ceyptocurrencies only if you exchange it to fiat. It's not a great idea to try and avoid paying taxes, but let's be honest, most rich people use all kind of tricks to make sure they pay as low taxes as possible. Therefore, just keep your Bitcoin where it is or spend it directly to buy or invest into something. This way, government cannot claim their taxes since you have not sold any of your Bitcoin and theoretically you have not made any profits.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Bank - Safely store your bitcoin on: March 31, 2024, 09:21:47 AM
Why would anyone use a third party to to store their Bitcoin when they can just store it themselves in their own bank? We are in 2024 and I'm sure anyone who invests and plans to hodl their Bitcoin for a long period of time has enough resources to learn how to do that safely by themselves. Bitcoin is a digital asset, meaning it does not need protection from regular thieves such as fiat money or tangible assets do,therefore there is no need for a bank to store it and protect it. What would your bank protect, my private keys? That's just a silly idea.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rich or poor gambler, who should risk more? on: March 23, 2024, 07:05:05 AM
The amount of money you start with does not matter,as long as you have a good bankroll management and you know your limits. Obviously a rich person can afford to play higher stakes, take more risks, and win more money but at the same time he has much more to lose on the long term because he's got so much money. A poor gambler can only lose the amount of money he has, which is little and even if he ends up losing everything it won't affect him that much. If a rich person ends up losing everything to gambling, that would be a disaster for them and their life. Therefore, both rich and poor gamblers should be careful to gamble and risk only the money they can afford to lose.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 4 Years ago people laughed at me bcz of THIS on: March 18, 2024, 06:16:25 PM
Over the course of the years people have invented dozens of conspiracies similar to yours related to Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. Until proven otherwise, anything could be true but you can't just say random things and expect people to belive you without backing your words with something, with some kind of evidence or clear signs of correlation between those two events influencing each other. You are just throwing words around related to events you have very little information and experience about and this is why some newbies are misguided in the crypto world, reading all this crazy theories written by people on the internet.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler takes his own life after a loss. on: March 17, 2024, 06:10:02 AM
It's impossible to comment on this situation without having the full details about what the person was going through at the moment of committing suicide. Most likely he was already in some bigger troubles, potentially caused by his betting/gambling issues and he had debts he cannot cover, that's why he decided to place such a big bet to try and rescue it all. Most people here say they couldn't do such a thing, if they were in this person's place but it's impossible to say that without actually finding yourself in such a situation.

This should be a warning sign for all gamblers. No matter how mentally strong you are, no matter how much money you have, no matter how responsible you are, gambling can take you to a place you've never even imagined before, if you lose control. Gambling is one of the worst addictions existing and it could potentially make you lose everything you have, not only your money but also your family and in rare cases even your life. Therefore, if you think you have a gambling issue, even a small one, and you are not in control of your gambling, take a break and think over the situation. Do not let it get out of control, because it's extremely hard to recover after you've lost everything.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is AI going to affect gambling in any way ? on: March 17, 2024, 05:55:50 AM
I think both gamblers and casinos/sportbooks will try and get some advantage out of the AI technology. The only question is who is going to do it better and faster. Most likely it'll be casinos who can do a faster job since they have a larger amount of funds to invest into it and they are also the ones to set the rules of playing, therefore even if some people manage to find some ways to use AI to increase their chances of winning, casinos will quickly spot that and introduce new rules and regulations on their platforms.

17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have known Bitcoin and other currencies since 2014 on: March 14, 2024, 06:00:20 PM
I think there are a lot of people in the same situation as yours. I've personally also known about cryptocurrencies, not much to be honest back then in 2015-2016 but I knew they existed and had a general idea about what they are. I also started experimenting with buying them and trying to use them on different things. But I did not take them very seriously, not enough to start investing in them.

You shouldn't regret anything that happened in the past, especially something that didn't actually happen, which is you investing and hodling Bitcoin back in 2014. You most likely did not have enough experience into investing and knowledge about cryptocurrencies back then, so it was I impossible for you to invest your money into it. It seems like today you are in the same situation. If you've known Bitcoin for so long, then you already know it's history and from now on it's going to keep increasing for the next 5-10 years at least. If you don't take a decision now, 10 years from now you'll say the same thing you posted today.
18  Economy / Gambling / Re: Need help. I GOT PHISHED FOR 9K ON STAKE.COM on: March 13, 2024, 06:50:23 PM
My Stake account was also hacked a couple years ago, most likely due to password leaks on the internet but luckily I did not have any crypto available in my wallet. Back then there was no email authorization code required so if you had the password of the account you could log in instantly and complete any kind of actions. These days, the security is a bit improved but just as in your case scammers always find new ways to steal people's crypto.

Not sure there's anything to do in your case, surely not at this point after months have passed. In your case we cannot talk about a security breach on Stake servers to blame them for your loss. It was rather a mistake made by yourself or maybe just bad luck. Call it whatever you want and take it as a lesson for the future.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you stake on a potential(obvious) loosing team just for love? on: March 13, 2024, 03:39:35 PM
Yeah, definitely. That's actually something that makes betting fun, as it should be. You have a favorite team, maybe your local or national team, and you would root for them regardless of their opponent. Placing a bet on them, on a stake you can afford to lose, makes the game even more exciting for you than it was before. Now, you are rooting for your favorite them even more. If they win, on top of your happiness and good times you'll also walk away with a nice profit. If they lose, well, based on the odds I guess it was something expected to happen and you also didn't lose a large amount of money.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BOOK: 'The Bitcoin History Book 2008-2024' on: March 13, 2024, 08:03:29 AM
Congratulations for the initiative to start writing such a book. It's by now means an easy task and it requires tons of research and time put into it, but I'm sure it will all be worth it at some point in the future. I've taken a glance through the first chapters and considering you are not a professional writer and I'm assuming you've never done a project like this in the past, at least not at this scale, it looks great. The information seems well structured and it includes links, photos and quotes to better understand it.

I don't think I'm in a position to give you any suggestions, I just wanted to encourage to keep going and take this project to the end because such projects are of great benefit to Bitcoin community not only for present but especially for the future generations.
