Well, these guys could well use smooth talk and business suits =).

As for the rest of your message it sounds ... pretty vague?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A Komodo Investment Thesis on: October 01, 2017, 09:09:52 AM
what about the trusted setup? Did they redo it?

Nah. They chose to stick to what the Zcash team had done, arguing that:
- The security standards were sufficient ( https://petertodd.org/2016/cypherpunk-desert-bus-zcash-trusted-setup-ceremony )
- They couldn't have done it in a more trustworthy manner themselves

Hey guys,

My take on future prices for KMD, and why I think it's a good buy at the moment: https://medium.com/@sylvainartplayribes/komodo-investment-thesis-55cf57c8a85

Hey guys,

Here's my take on a Komodo investment: https://medium.com/@sylvainartplayribes/komodo-investment-thesis-55cf57c8a85

Warning, way tl;dr.

Cliffs:
- ICOs are all the rage this year. And everybody longs for functional decentralized exchanges.
- Enters Komodo, which offers the first "decentralized ICO" and a fully fledged in-wallet decentralized exchange, working through atomic swaps.
- Yet their latest, biggest announcement on the subject of dICO looked catastrophically looked like that:

- Who woulda thunk: that destroyed their hype and the token price. After hearing disastrous feedback from their community they've finally decided to focus more on marketing and PR.
- Conclusion: the currency is technologically solid, but largely underpriced due to recent mistakes from which the team seems to be actively learning.

==> buy.

Yeah those Google guys sure don't stand a chance when there's already Lycos and Altavista!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9mGSq7LLsc4

Sylvain.

Soooooooo, in the past few days we've seen a massive hype over PivX.

Unless I'm mistaken, whatever PivX can do, Zen'll be able to do as well, with the added benefit of absolute Zk-Snark anonymity.

so ... WHEN DOES ZCL REACH $40M MARKETCAP ?

Yeah, same here, "Java exception" with no further hints as to what kind of exception that might be.

Are you guys working on a potential arrangement with Bittrex / Ccex to have the exchanges give users equivalent ZEN balances ?
15  Other / Archival / Re: Which one is more risky? Skill-based gambling or trading? on: January 13, 2017, 01:01:26 PM
For your average Joe it's obviously trading.

Simple people are often being convinced that you could make an easy buck "trading". Even by their own bank.

Most people who gamble are well aware that they won't get rich out of it, and those who lose heaps are basically addicts.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CoinCare - Bitcoin Insurance on: January 10, 2017, 09:45:03 AM
"your legal documents confirm" but what constitutes your proof of solvency? What is the guarantee that you'll not be essentially freerolling on your customers money?

Your insurance is basically option writing. As such how can the price be "3-5% of btc / mo" regardless of volatility ?
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Can Hit $2K ? on: January 09, 2017, 06:33:56 AM
I expect there will be a significant resistance around the 1.5k mark, as this will be a new significant high for people who bought right before the MTGox crash and have had to wait all this time to breakeven.

If these ppl have emotionnally survived until now, they may very well decide that 1.5k, +50% profit for most of them, is good enough and just sell their position and get rid of the emotional rollercoaster.
18  Economy / Economics / Re: WILL BITCOIN BE USED BY ALMOST EVERYONE IN 2022? on: January 08, 2017, 11:28:58 PM
Even without being used by your average Joe, Bitcoin has a huge value as a store of value and a purely financial asset. It's difficult to imagine a term for mainstream adoption, and actually not unlikely that Bitcoin would be overtaken by some other crypto for everyday spendings; especially if they keep failing to solve the blocksize issue.

However its inertia, ledger and reliability make it a pretty strong instrument for investment purposes, even if only a tiny fraction of the world population is made directly aware of its existence.
