1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still staking Bitconnect tokens.. on: June 05, 2022, 01:54:11 PM
still staking Bitconnect for shits and giggles.. started with 77 tokens in January 2018, now I have 145 tokens just from staking..

Bitconnect apparently no longer is the biggest scam crypto... Looks like Terra Luna beat it by miles.. in the tune of 60 Billion lost.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still staking Bitconnect tokens.. on: October 10, 2020, 04:08:31 AM
started with 77 Bitconnect coins... 2.75 years later after it shutdown, and me just running a wallet staking on a media server for that time I've now got 122 Bitconnect coins..

I got ripped off by a group of shady individuals... they're gone... but the technology is still banging along giving out rewards..  Not even on any exchange and it's
still just banging on...

Maybe in the future they'll become collectables and be worth something.. LOL!!

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Still staking Bitconnect tokens.. on: February 12, 2020, 11:14:16 PM
Much to my surprise 2 years after Bitconnect shutdown, it's blockchain apparently has remained up and I've gained
50 BCC tokens in staking it on a server that I use as a multimedia SAN..

Anyone here been staking BCC?? Obviously I can't be the only one staking it because I'm getting rewards every
several days.. Any real use for it? Anyone trading them? It's a Proof of Stake blockchain.. Yeah it was used by probably
the biggest scammers dealing with crypto currencies, but it's still blockchain technology..

I figure someone would just rebrand it to something else useful and use it for whatever..

Just thought I'd ask since I pulled up the wallet and saw that I have 114 total BCC tokens..

I was going to send 5000 SENT to the Sentinel Wallet Alpha I downloaded, but HitBTC wanted like 4200 SENT to send 5000...

Someone needs to tell them that's way too damn high...

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] HextraCoin Cryptocurrency ICO Live Now !! on: February 16, 2018, 09:34:20 AM
Perhaps they should just go ahead and do what RegalCoin is doing along with FalconCoin and ReconaCoin..

And that's Hosted Staking..

If no one has been able to sell their HXT, who the hell is buying them as the website likes to think everyone is doing..

Good coin and good tech... Why is this still at 1 sat?!? It should be over 100 sats by now...

Definition of a Ponzi - a form of fraud in which belief in the success of a nonexistent enterprise is fostered by the payment of quick returns to the first investors from money invested by later investors.

How the hell is Bitconnect a ponzi if they are using trading bots much like Wall Street to do thousands of trades a second and take the profits made and pay a percentage back to the investors??

sorry but you can't join the chat unless someone invites you.. I don't know why people keep doing that.. Just posting the Slack channel link takes you to a login page.
You gotta have a Channel admin invite you.. If you wanna invite me, send an email to btcstacker@gmail.com

Thanks!

Here's a tip. Stay the fuck away from cryptos that are in development stages if you can't handle not getting daily updates..

I can't  believe the infantile comments I had to read through over ECC not meeting their expectations..

Early released wallet from July 3rd does work if you follow the instructions that are shown on ECC slack. Download the wallet for Windows 32/64. Install it. Then download the bootstrap and unzip it into the:

\\users\username\appdata\roaming\eccoin

Let the bootstrap contents overwrite everything.

Then open up conf file and replace everything with this:

maxconnections=100
rpcuser=yourusername
rpcpassword=yourpassword
upgradewallet=20501
staking=1
addnode=www.cryptounited.io
addnode=45.63.42.72
addnode=45.77.55.82
addnode=139.59.107.188
addnode=138.197.100.45
addnode=108.162.191.13
rpcport=19119
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1
rescan=1

Don't change yourusername or yourpassword lines, leave them as is.

Save conf file.

Start the daemon app that it's listed in the wallet zipped file that you downloaded. Wait about a minute then run the wallet GUI.

Use the default address created or create a me one. Copy the address by double clicking on address and doing a Ctrl-C.

Goto CE exchange and withdraw your coins to the address you copied.. Follow the CE prompts to confirm withdraw.

Wait a few minutes and you'll see your coins in the wallet GUI. Just wait for the confirmations to populate.

You can close the wallet GUI and leave the daemon running. In time you can check and see that you will get your coins and some  extra by staking..

Yes it's a crude way to do it, but it does work. I've moved over 600K into many wallet and have staked a few..

Hmmm so I came back and found this error:

https://screencast.com/t/EaRqmHYzIGB

Error shown is: "Error loading blkindex.dat"?

When I click to press ok, it just shuts it down.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance

 maybe you had a sudden unexpected shutdown? sometimes the data gets corrupted, so, make a backup, i think there is a bootstrap somewhere [edit: there is, in the first post of this thread], get that, then basically delete all blockchain related files from the data folder, (or follow any instructions that come with the bootstrap)(do NOT delete the wallet.dat) install the bootstrap and sync  Smiley

Yeah I have tried a few times now and its not working in any case... wondering if I do need the new wallet?

You have to wait for the new wallet that comes out this coming week. It's the new wallet that's been updated on Coinexchange.io. A new webpage is coming out for ECC this week..
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: .1 BTC transaction pending with 48 peers for 36 hours??? on: January 06, 2017, 11:26:06 PM
What fee rate are you using? i.e. satoshis per kB

14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / .1 BTC transaction pending with 48 peers for 36 hours??? on: January 06, 2017, 05:28:57 PM
has anyone seen this problem?? I've got .1 BTC sending from my local wallet address to another address and it's been pending for confirmation
for over 36 hours.. It's currently got 48 peers..

Is this due to the price plunge in the past 2 days??
