I'd like to know "where the fuck is the guy who has a paid lawyer"
If we dont have someone with money to hire a lawyer, Could we atleast fund a "lawyer pool" for some trusted forum member to use the pool fund to hire a lawyer to look meanly at BFL?

I'd throw in on this.

Yes! Get the torches and pitchforks, for tomorrow we march on BFL!

Thousands of people hate you with good reason.

Right on cue, in come the trolls to wreck a good thread!  Lets see if we can get K9, PL and PG in here, as well!

Idiot - Get back on the line.  I hope you get sued.

Hey Dave,

Obviously, like many others, I’m not too happy about the way things are going over there with the shipping date promises that will never be close to being met.  I’ve been told repeatedly “you’re order should ship by June, July, August.”  Now it’s “watch Jody’s customer service blog” which says that you have only shipped one month of orders of the Single SC.  I need my order to be shipped, or I need a refund.  If I just wait 4, 5 ,6 months for BFL to ship my order, I will end up on the losing end of this deal.  So please let me know whether you will be shipping my order, or issuing a refund.  If neither, I will be opening up a dispute with Paypal and using any other means necessary.  Please get back to me A.S.A.P.

Thank you,

Chris

Chris,

Any time frames given were estimates given with the best information we had at the time. To say you will end up on the losing end is not true. That said, we guarantee the processing power of the machine and not the ROI. We are working to ship the bulk of our machine by the end of September. Even though it doesn't seem like we are shipping very much the reality is the opposite. The fact is we have shipped a large number of machines that were ordered over the course of a few days. Over the months of orders in the queue, our pace will increase inherently. Additionally, we are continuing to increase our production throughput to push more machines out the door as quickly as possible.

Dave,

I don't think your company was truthful when giving out estimates, even if they were, we were also told that all of the back order would be cleared up quickly when you did start shipping.  That is obviously not happening either.  Everything Butterfly Labs has told customers for over a year with regards to finishing and shipping these products has been either a lie or an extreme exaggeration.  Customer service takes weeks to get back to you.  Your company spokespeople pick fights on forums with people who have good reason to be angry.  You've taken millions of dollars, but haven't hired enough people to get through the queue quickly.  I'm seeing reports that your $30,000 machine has hot glue and velcro holding wires in place inside it, and one of the handful you sent out had been broken during shipping.  These are not things someone expects to see when dealing with an electronics manufacturer.  I will never buy anything from this company again, and I am going to make sure those in the Bitcoin community know why they shouldn't either.

10  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Be aware of Butterfly Labs Miners on: July 11, 2013, 11:50:40 AM
BLAH BLAH BLARGH I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT
Soo... few questions:

Who's sock puppet are you?
If not BFL, then who? (Oh wait, almost everyone else selling ASICs is selling pre-order too? Almost everyone else is refusing refunds too? Damn.)
BFL is not mining on customer equipment. This has been gone over dozens of times.
There is tons of data on power consumption, both at the chip level, and for full miners. Jalapeno: 35-40W. Single: 240-260W. MiniRig: 2350-2400W ...what rock have you been under?

Your an idiot.  BFL is obviously a scam, working units or not, they are using them to mine with, they have barely done a month of preorders yet.  They have been telling lies to everyone who asks them when they will get their order, so that they will pre-order, and then they mine with your unit.  They are a Mickey Mouse company, run by a criminal, and everyone who ordered later than the first month will wish they never ordered.
11  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] KNCminer Jupiter 2.3 BTC share [Added to 15 Jupiter Pool] on: June 26, 2013, 02:53:37 AM
This group buy is for  KNCminer Jupiter's made by (https://www.kncminer.com) company located in Stockholm, Sweden. The unit that the shares relate to is the KNC Jupiter @ 350GH/s https://www.kncminer.com/products/jupiter.

The original 450 shares for 15 KNC Jupiters have been sold out for this GB. June 16, 2013  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=226319.0

28/30 shares left

Offering 2nd Jupiter GB:

Effective June 24, 2013 Shares are 2.3 each, will adjust as USD/BTC exchange rate changes as Jupiters are priced in USD. I am not making a profit buying the Jupiter's
- 30 shares at 2.3 BTC are available
- Each share entitles the owner to 1/30th* of the BTC proceeds from the  KNC Jupiter's mining 24/7 till no longer profitable or sold (less expenses and management fees)
- management fees are 2% of BTC mined after expenses are deducted.(expenses include but are not limited to, hosting, repairs, shipping, taxes)
- payment will be made to the address of the shareholder  bi-weekly
- miners will be hosted at KNC facility in Stockholm, Sweden
- each Jupiter purchased in 2nd GB will be added to original 15 Jupiter GB as they are received
- *shares in this 2nd GB will receive prorated dividend payments from entire pool once Jupiter's are delivered and mining in original 15 Jupiter  pool

To purchase shares:

- Send 2.3 BTC per share to address: 1GW2ReZrFWuMn71xy4efB3sxViPC3iF8ES  [This address will be for this GB alone]
- PM me/and post the transaction ID (txid) in this thread.
- ONLY use sending addresses you fully control. I will use the sending address for BTC payouts for your share ownership and if you request change of payout address I will require that you can sign your share purchase address to make this happen OR I WILL NOT CHANGE THE RECEIVING ADDRESS. This is for your own protection.
-This Group Buy will be sold in lots of 30 to qualify for another KNC Jupiter
-anyone not included in another 30 share lot once GB is closed will be refunded

IN CASE OF NON DELIVERY:
 - I (soniq)take no responsibility for the possibility that KNC Miner does not deliver the Jupiter miner. I(soniq) have done what I consider a thorough due diligence but as we all know, you can never 100% guarantee anything when it comes to pre-orders.
- Refunds will be given in case of non-delivery less 1% for management of GB
- this group buy will be refunded after Jan 1, 2014 if KNC Jupiter is not delivered, and KNC refunds payments
- shareholders can elect to wait further, or shareholders not willing to wait can sell their shares to existing KNCminer Group Buy shareholders

Miscellaneous:

- once Jupiters are delivered and mining shareholders can sell their shares to shareholders outside of original KNCminer Jupiter Group Buy
- shareholders can sell their shares before KNC Jupiters are delivered to buyers outside of original Group Buy but will be charged a one time .1 BTC charge for name transfer
- at my discretion I can suggest to sell KNC Jupiter at any time and majority vote by shareholders can decide to sell or not. Sale proceeds will distributed on a prorated share basis
- I (soniq) will not be responsible if KNC Jupiters do not hash at advertised rate of 350 GH/s
- Jupiter's in this GB are not guaranteed first order delivery in September, conversation with KNC estimates October delivery
- This 2nd GB will buy more than one Jupiter if there is enough interest

Why should I trust you?

- 100% positive feedback at eBay since 2002 http://myworld.ebay.ca/buglebarn/
- have done some transactions on this forum ( do a profile search, or I can PM )
- do not risk more than you can afford to lose, BTC and BTC mining preorders are high risk
- identity verified by John K https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=226319.msg2404012#msg2404012
- organized a successful GB https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=226319.0
- Someone asked earlier how many GH/s does each share buy?  At todays rate each 2.25 BTC share buys 11GH/s

If I have forgotten anything or you require more info etc. Please feel free to ask/post in this thread.

If you havnt already download Bit Message, will be using this for contacting shareholders about updates, payments and trading shares

Will also create an informal Skype group for casual conversation amongst shareholders

hello,  why does it say, when we receive the miners, if they are being hosted at KNC?  Why would their be shipping or repair costs?

Thank you.

hI sTAT,

I haven't purchased it yet.  Need to see how many others are interested.  I don't want to end up being the only investor.  If you want to be a part of a group buy that I have already placed an order on.  You can check out my group buy for the KNCMiners.  Basically I'm spreading my money around.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=228700.0;all

Whats your order #? Have you paid?
if you haven't paid, you won't be receiving it anytime soon.  orders are processed by when they've been paid.

You getting one Canary?

15  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Should I sell my Jalapeno? Seems to be working fine, but... on: May 28, 2013, 06:18:22 PM
I would keep it as well, you will make your btc back eventually, and then you will have a decent miner working for you.  Also, it may be more profitable to mine ppc or other altcoin right now or in the future.
16  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Official CaVirtex.com Thread on: May 28, 2013, 06:08:40 PM
Hey Jack, love the exchange, except for the cost to trade.

3% on both sides for a total of 6% per trade is a bit ridiculous.  I would like to see your trade fee go down to at very most 1.5% per side for a total of 3% per trade.  Looking at your numbers you would still be doing extremely well.

Keep in mind that Paypal only charges merchants 3% to accept payments.

Please consider getting in line with the other exchanges' trade fee's.

Thanks,

God damnit why didn't I go with Avalon.  ASIC's or not, BFL is not a professionally run company.  If we had the truth the entire time, we could have made better decisions with our money.
