Gates has given away more money than he has.
Jobs was the only hoarder between them.
Buffett worked his arse off to get his piece of the pie, and I don't hold it against the man if he wants to keep a grasp of it.

Copy/Paste into a terminal that's outputting to /dev/null If nothing looks bad, then you're good.

I sent 2 BTC to my MtGox account, even though it's not verified yet... The transaction has 5 confirms, but MtGox doesn't reflect the balance... Is my BTC just gone? I don't understand what just happened.

Ebay doesn't predict MtGox price in the same way difficulty doesn't predict price.
It doesn't directly affect it, but there is a strong correlation.
Difficulty moves hand in hand with price more than 90% of the time if you remove outliers.
Over 80% with the outliers included.
I'm sure it's not far off.

Silver has the highest value of conductivity of any natural metal. I love conductive things, and I will keep it and cherish it until I need it to exchange for food, ammunition, or shelter in post apocalyptic Earth, as fiat will be worthless.

Hey, you verify 15,000 people in a timely fashion. lol

Wole, that worked, I love you. Give me your BTC address sir. Also, I see something funny that happened. Apparently I took this wallet offline before some of the BTC in it was confirmed. So one transaction took place in May 2011, the next transaction took place a few minutes ago from the same address lol I assure you, the transaction took place in May 2011, but because I guess it didn't confirm back then, it just now processed? Wtf lol

I have a wallet.dat file from 2011. IIRC it has about 2 bitcoins on it. Obviously I want to recover them... But how? The original computer was dismantled, all I have is the hard drive and the wallet.dat file, what do?

I've been having HW problems with 2.11.4 on my 5830's also.
I'll switch down, and update in this thread if 2.11.3 fixes it.
Thanks for the heads up!

Oh god Mt Gox, why??!?!?!?
T.T
Anyway, just so people have an idea of how many people are scrambling to verify and start making purchases/trades.
I think as long as we have a verify queue of this magnitude, prices will continue to climb, as this 15,000 person line is obviously in it to start buying and selling.

The Scrypt Algorithm is inherently different from the SHA-256 algorithm.
Bitcoin is based on the SHA-256 algorithm. Litecoin uses scrypt.
As ASIC's are specialized for one purpose. (In the jalapeno's case, SHA-256, it won't be able to mine Litecoin effectively.)
