There's a QWARK coin out there which likely to steal our QUARK brand, as well as the Logo.

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching][0%fee] multipool.us:Always mine the most profitable coin on: August 25, 2013, 12:28:28 AM
How can I disable auto cash out? I have to disable CAP auto cashout because cryptsy disable CAP.

I think remove your address from cashout settings works.
Remove address will cause invalid address Cheesy
I have set them to 0.

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [XPM] Working on a GPU miner for Primecoin on: July 30, 2013, 02:36:41 PM
Okay, the first GPU-enabled version is ready. Right now it only does the sieving on the GPU. Primality tests are still done on the CPU. The code hasn't been optimized at all yet; the performance is equivalent (+- a few %) on these setups:
1) Phenom x6 1055T, all 6 cores
2) Phenom x6 1055T, all 6 cores, plus a HD6990 using both cores

I don't think the current version is worth releasing. It still needs a bit of work, I want it to be twice as fast. I estimate there is room for a five-fold improvement, especially when I get the primality tests done on the GPU as well.

Tomorrow I will do tests using a slow CPU with lots of GPU power (Sempron 140 with 2x6990).

I think it worth a release... At least we can have pool set up based on the miner.

Yes,  I think pool is really important, more than a GPUminer.

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hacking into VPS by originally getting IPs from Primecoin nodes on: July 27, 2013, 11:54:37 AM
I think possible when they have your IP and port (opened port)
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Selling Primecoin miner time on: July 24, 2013, 08:56:06 PM
10,000pps won't even find you a block in 2 days.

Most likely but it's all about luck.

I fired up some miners yesterday and found a block (550 PPS) within 8 hours

ypool.net , not solo mining bro.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XPM] [ANN] Primecoin High Performance on: July 24, 2013, 02:49:32 AM
I get this everytime I start up primecoind --daemon and execute  watch -n 5 'primecoind getmininginfo & primecoind listaccounts & primecoind getconnectioncount'

1st problem (during launch)

error: couldn't connect to server
error: couldn't connect to server
error: couldn't connect to server

then I have to go back, and execute primecoind --daemon again until I see this: Error: Cannot obtain a lock on data directory /root/.primecoin. Primecoin is probably already running.

about 10-20 seconds later, the stats show up, and its connected. Do you think this problem could be affecting my possibility to mine blocks? about 2 days ago, I mined 2 blocks in 1 hour.. then nothing the rest of the day, and i am curious if this error has something to do with it? My other server doesn't have this problem, and loads after the first execution of primecoind. Any ideas?

I am using HP7 with directory of /primecoin/src when executing primecoind.

2nd problem (closing down)
Primecoin server stopping
root@# primecoind stop
Primecoin server stopping
root@# primecoind stop
Primecoin server stopping

I have to use killall -9 primecoind (at twice) to get it to stop. Any ideas to get it back on the right track? 1 server executes launch and stop commands fine, one server doesn't.

1st:
primecoind take 100% CPU usage so that make VPS extreme slow, just let it watch, then will be ok. Sleep 5; after --daemon if you want.

2st: Normally it'll stop after 3-5sec, if you can't stop it, reboot the VPS.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining | Start is now! on: July 23, 2013, 09:48:01 PM
This coin has more problems with the connections than any other coin. I've never seen anything like this.

I've used like 20 other wallets and coins, and Quarkcoin is the only coin I've ever used that won't connect. All the other coins work perfectly.

Don't tell me to addnode the IP's. It doesn't matter if you addnode all the IP's, or try everything. It still doesn't work. And why did you remove UPnP support?

You've messed up something with the networking code that none of the other coins have messed up.
I can't get Quark to work on 3 out of 4 of my computers, and I gave up after trying for hours.

If it doesn't sync blocks, or speed was too low, one block at a time. Let's try remove quarkcoin conf folder, re-make conf file, then run from the start. It worked for me.

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XPM] [ANN] Primecoin Release - First Scientific Computing Cryptocurrency on: July 22, 2013, 08:53:45 PM
Is everyone here using mikaelh's build?

I haven't tested Sunny's yet but with mikaelh's, my PPS stays at about 100% (~600) for about an hour or so, then rapidly drops down to 10% (~60).

I'll switch one of my miners over to Sunny's build and see if the problem gets solved.

If this bug affects everyone, it could explain why the PPS dropped so much.

Anyone have that issue, check your currentblocksize, it's too big.
