1  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MtGox withdraw 5% fee? on: January 08, 2014, 10:39:42 PM
Finally got a response.

Seems I need to make a JPY wallet on MtGox.

Then buy
USD -> BTC

Then sell
BTC -> JPY

Click Settings -> Main Currency -> JPY -> Save

Now there will be 2 wallets, as a drop down. Click on the USD and will see JPY drop down option. Use that when selling BTC.

Hopefully we'll get our wires now.

Anyone else have experience doing this?
2  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MtGox bitcoin withdrawal delay >:( on: January 04, 2014, 01:53:08 AM
The Fiat withdraw delay thread has already 137 pages.
Expect bitcoin withdraw delay thread will make the same progress!

I cant understand why people still trust them.
Maybe because in most cultures a boy doesnt become a real man until he gets goxed?  Grin

Any idea when the last fiat withdrawal was received by anyone and how long it took? Waiting on 10k over here....

Over $10k probably got you flagged by the banks due to government regulations.

If you take out $9500 multiple times that'll get you flagged for "structuring" which a crime.

Its no-win. Just contact your bank or their bank, make sure its all authorized, etc.

I sent a support ticket and getting no response too.
4  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MtGox withdraw 5% fee? on: January 02, 2014, 03:24:43 PM
How long does it take for them to reply when sending a support ticket question?

Seems nobody home on their end to answer anything.
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why I think bitcoins are a bad investmen at these high prices. on: December 26, 2013, 04:45:26 PM
Buy High, Sell Low, is what some people did.

Who bought coins at $1000+

LOL!

Lost about 1/2 its value.

Just wait for them to go back to $0.01 - $5.00 again.

Soon when all governments and banks disallow any exchange websites, and you can't get your paper money out of it, then value will be $0.00 and you lose 100% of your money.
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: China is out, is Crypto sunk? on: December 25, 2013, 10:36:39 AM
Using BTC for investment is out yes.

There will always be a crowd claiming they support the idea, and aren't in it for the money.
7  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's about to get ugly on mtgox on: December 25, 2013, 10:35:36 AM
Woot, another flash crash to $0.01 again! I'm a buy me 10,000 coins when it reaches that!
8  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin consantly losing value? on: December 25, 2013, 10:34:36 AM
Lot of people that bought in during the $1000-$1200 lost 50% of their value/investment.  Grin
9  Economy / Speculation / Back to $5 BTC on: December 18, 2013, 01:26:55 PM
China no longer has positive influence, so probably going to sink down all the way to $5 each now.

After United States, Japan, Europe, and other countries/continents find ways to ban BTC by the gov and banks refusing wires to/from exchange sites, then value will probably have another flash crash down to $0.01 per bitcoin like the one in 2011. At that point, I might pick up 1,000 BTC for novelty.
10  Economy / Speculation / Re: $100 coming next week on: December 08, 2013, 01:26:26 AM
$100 very soon.
11  Economy / Speculation / Re: China banned bitcoin. When will it crash? Win 0.1 BTC on: December 06, 2013, 05:10:00 PM
Its already crashing, matter of time before its under $400, or even under $100.
12  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is looking weak. Recommend you guys take profits soon over $1000. on: December 06, 2013, 05:06:01 PM
Too late, we're already below $1000 $900.
13  Economy / Speculation / Re: China just made Bitcoin pretty useless within China on: December 06, 2013, 05:04:37 PM
tl;dr

So China created this bubble? They all got in (price goes up) and now they want out due to laws or regulations (price goes down).

Sorta funny actually.
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: put on your tinfoil hats. I think I've gone over the edge. on: November 20, 2013, 02:54:12 PM
oh yea and another reason i think something is off is due to no one knowing who the creator of the bitcoin is. if bitcoin is determined to be a ponzi scheme it would be good to remain unknown....... i feel really dumb for saying all of this, i don't really think all of this im just exploring ideas.

Bitcoin is traded in a free marketplace environment. Ponzi schemes can been built on top of it (Pirate40) but they will get busted or collapse.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=7815.0

ok i can accept bitcoin isnat a ponzi scheme but, it still seems vulnerable to market manipulation by large owners

Yeah, its not a Ponzi scheme. Only people that say that don't know what they are talking about and probably don't know the definition.

Its more or less a stock to invest money into, value could go up or down, except this is a stock that the government wants to get rid of, making people think twice about investing.
15  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why bitcoin will hit 100000$/BTC in 2014. My conspiracy theory on: November 20, 2013, 01:38:44 AM
Stop posting nonsense, your topic should be removed, not even realistic. Should be under category of "fantasy", not "speculation".
16  Economy / Speculation / Re: I know very few people here really care... on: November 19, 2013, 02:52:18 PM
If you were invested for the idea and not the money, then you wouldn't care so much what the value was.

Many people here reading and researching how to make a quick buck, then pretend they are all about the concept.
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: If you wait forever, you'll never make money on: November 19, 2013, 02:49:50 PM
Acting on emotion rather than common sense is how you lose money.
18  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where is the crash? Seriously on: November 19, 2013, 02:47:56 PM
I think going down 33% ($300) in just few hours is good sign of a crash.

You tried too hard, and already knew the answer.
19  Economy / Speculation / Re: total scam on: November 19, 2013, 02:46:24 PM
Have you ever heard of stock market or bubbles?

You should probably research about that stuff first before getting into BitCoin.

Its basically the same thing.

So you are surprised the price can come down after it goes up? Really?
20  Economy / Speculation / Re: Chances of $150 again on: November 19, 2013, 02:30:07 PM
Dropped $300 in a few hours, will probably see $140 price later today. Sell now while you can, don't be last person and take a loss.
