what is the best way to purchase bitcoins?
if i send $ to mt gox can it remain in mt gox as $, or does it automaticaly get converted to bitcoins?
Hi, that's what I'm doing. The $ at MtGox won't be transferred automatically but you will have them in your wallet and then you choose how you get bitcoins and how much through them  . Thanks for the info. Can you cash out the $ in your wallet irrelevantly of market condition? Let me rephrase that; does mt gox act as a dollars bank account? or is there always some sort of catch related to bitcoins? |

i believe they will try to take it down and one way or another they will probably succeed. It is to our interest to stick to our grounds and grow, support and stabilize the movement. I would never invest all my savings or even a substantial amount of them. But what i suggest is that everyone converts an amount (which if lost is not detremental ) to bitcoin with the intention of never converting it back to $$. As i said they will try to take down bitcoin if it tries to completely dominate. If everyone followed this it will grow slow and strong with heavy roots. Lets not be greedy people!

i'm new here aswell but i think that you can go to blockchain.info and create a wallet there to be untraced.
note,, create an email not including your real details? i think sounds right,, look in this direction and you will find that its very hard.
i suggest you buy a netbook to be used exclusivley for bitcoin activity.
i would create that email and access it from wifi not at home or office...
think in this direction

Im new to the concept of BITCOINS and i like it.
we are currently passing through worldwide economic turmoil created by various entities for various reasons - as a result, in my eyes the banking system in place has reached a point were one comes to ask the following questions,
-were the banks not created as a service/faculity to safegaurd savings$?
-how can the banks - fund missmanagement - result in the tapping of ones savings$ ? no security in place to monitor this?
the concept of bitcoin - decentralized banking - capped 'inflation' - ect.... sounds like something missing in the world right now!
i'm sure it needs a lot of work to be developed and to implement the requried security in place
but i decided to support and endorse this movement but investing $ i can afford to such to endorse the movement!

i'm new to all this and i like it.
in my eyes the world banking system has created economic instability worldwide and by their actions are promting caos... and one comes to ask - where should i put my money, are the basic fundumentals of the banking system defeated, were banks not created to safegaurd our money? is it normal for the people to pay for the banks 'bad business'? - i consider that its un-acceptable for people to allow and continue to trust in a system which at-will taps into savings.
with that said i have my reservations about bitcoin concept. Will the governemnts and current banking system allow such a transistion to bitcoin. will they invest a lot of money and power to destroy it?
like i said i'm new here, i like it and i have decided to trust and endorse this movement with a nominal amount $ which i can live without.
