1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XSPEC] Spectrecoin | Untraceable Tx | Ring Signatures | Tor Integration on: April 02, 2017, 07:46:41 PM
It looks like the most important milestone has been been missed. That is a major disappointment.

We are behind the roadmap by one day. What a major disappointment...  Roll Eyes

How many days before it becomes a major disappointment in your mind? 10? 1000? Never?

Not meeting the roadmap is not a major disappointment for me. I have seen enough projects that missed the roadmap by multiple months, and still delivered. As long as they keep their goals and keep working on it and don't give up, I'm not disappointed. Maybe if they learn that they're not good at meeting specific dates, they should remove the dates from the roadmap altogether.

In my experience they all have delays. I like the roadmap dates, and view them as guidelines or suggested goals. Anyone who has been involved in crypto currencies for any amount of time knows it is rare when something is released exactly as planned. Maybe an opportunity to pick up more coins at a better price.  Grin

And how hard is it to update a website. I guess those devs are so busy that they couldn't possibly afford the 5 seconds it takes to do that.  If they keep missing milestones and delays, you'll have plenty of time to pick up more xspec at an ever decreasing price. I guess that's a good thing for you.

That is exactly my feeling.  Hitting milestones instills confidence, which is paramount in such a risky adventure as crypto coins.  Missing them does the opposite.  I would suggest updating the site change the projected date of milestones rather than keeping them up knowing they are false.  Or get rid of them entirely if they're not taken seriously.

My wallet isn't working and I can't get any help in the Slack Forum.  Can someone help fix this?
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is altcoin used for? on: February 20, 2017, 11:26:12 AM
Spectrecoin has an actual use -- PRIVATE international remittances.  It's an anon coin with an app that will facilitate remittances between parties around the world via a cell phone.  That is the application that crypto can solve right now other than dark market stuff.  For the rest, crypto adoption is a long way away because there is no pressing need for it.  I can do everything with my fiat and debit/credit cards, so why would I need crypto to pay for things other than the 'cool' factor.  Dark markets and remittances are another story.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What cryptocurrency is closest to my ideal? Monero? on: February 20, 2017, 09:31:37 AM
Monero, Shadowcash, or Spectre, which used Shadowcash's code but improved upon it.  Those would be my choices based on your criteria.

Looking forward to the release of the Spectrecash app so people can start actually using the currency for a real life purpose.

What about XSPEC? Seems to be winning the privacy coin war at the moment.

Looking sharp.  I'll volunteer to test the android app.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Spectre [XSPEC] MANDATORY UPDATE TO V1.1 NOW !!!! on: January 29, 2017, 09:52:01 PM

Really, 83 sats as not many believed that we would deliver, it was a dynamic price ICO so a few investors got a good deal. We delivered the second stage of the project and we are just about to deliver the first stage of the Android mobile platform for XSPEC. Dump? That would be stupid as the the price will still go up.

You can just regret that you didn't buy in and didn't believe, follow and see what happens.

I told you that we would deliver and we will keep doing that.

Please mandica, i encourage you to stop promising absolutes. Its unnecessary, unprofessional and very concerning. Talking about regret and price is another big red flag and massive no no when it comes to professionalism. You cannot ever guarantee the "price will go up" Again, its very concerning behavior. Its being noted by the wise and should be noted by the sheep.

On a different subject to you selling fluff as innovation. Did you consider integrating some or all of the following, instead of tor?

  • i2p
  • Freenet
  • Morphmix / Tarzan
  • Mixminion / Mixmaster
  • Jap
  • Mute
  • Antsp2p
  • Haystack

If so, can you please explain in a short summary, the reasons for not choosing each one?
Did you even know they all existed?
Could you explain to me why you chose the sdc source over Pinocchio, dash and or monero or your own? Again, short summary please.
Are you a cryptographer?
Do you have a cryptographer?
Do you wish to just allow the sdc devs to do the core work and just stay downstream from them in terms of core development of the code.

I don't wish to take up much of your time i am only needing some real convincing that you understand exactly what it is you are doing and why.
Thankyou for your time taken to answer me.

No offense, but who are you, and why does Mandica owe you anything?
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Spectre [XSPEC] MANDATORY UPDATE TO V1.1 NOW !!!! on: January 29, 2017, 07:19:19 AM
those who regret not having participated in the ICO and believing that it was a scam, can catch up again... All the promises have been kept, and if they continue like this the price will explode.

It is true, I participate in the ICO, and now I am buying in the exchanges, because even the price is very cheap.
This coin is superior to Monero, then I will continue to buy, because the price of Spetrecoin,
in a short time, will be higher than the price of Monero.  Roll Eyes

What you mean is SDC is superior to Monero. Spectre is just a cheap clone. For that matter, a cheap diluted clone with 4 times as many coins. Soon it will be missing all the most important features coming to SDC.

Do not you feel ashamed to talk about privacy, when ShadowCash publishes the IP of the users of your network?

See the IP addresses:

http://explorer.shadow.cash/nodes/

If your network publicly displays the IP addresses of your users,
what authority do you have to talk about privacy?
To the facts, the words of ShadowCash, are castles on sand ...
Please, it's night, let the people of Spectrecoin rest in peace!   Smiley

Why the heck would a crypto marketed around secrecy ever post an IP address?  Sort defeats the whole purpose which it is meant, doesn't it?

I have the new wallet.  Everything looks good.  Looking forward to the development of the Android app.

interesting project.  I'm just curious, but are these forums mostly just echo chambers of investors looking to hype the coins they're backing to other potential investors?
