1  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔶 YOLOdice.com 🔶 play&invest BTC ETH LTC DOGE on: August 22, 2020, 11:17:24 AM
Indeed the commission taken by the site is a thing in cases like this, the site took 2500 LTC of commission this week.
There options like what's done by bustabit to keep a commission of 50% without affecting the investors durings huge loss. The commission is taken only when the site is at its ATH profit.

Also there is new investors because their expected value is much higher when there is a low bankroll (they can have a higher %) and when there is a player wagering a lot, its theorically the best moment to invest.

I also did it after losing a lot first i added another investment yesterday. So  sometimes the new investors you see are in fact the old investors who added some additonal money.

Corrige moi si je me trompe.

https://www.bustabit.com/

Merci d'avance,

Hi,

first things first: The reason for using SHA256 is simple - SHA256 hashes are shorter, but the are not less secure by any means. There is no known collision known for neither SHA512 nor SHA256. You'd have to crack the original 128 bytes of the "secret" part - good luck brute-forcing that. Neither SHA256 nor SHA512 have been cracked so far it's not going to happen in a foreseeable future, even with quantum computing on the horizon.

I am glad you people like that investing is back. So far I've got the following feedback:

1. Commission is 50% of "expected profit" instead of real profit. Some people like it, some people have objections and it's OK. It definitely does move the "risk part" to investors and protects us as site owners, but that's the point. 50% itself does not seem to be an issue, other sites have been taking 50% cut for some time now. In the long term, wager-based cut vs profit-based cut should not matter much since the real profit oscillates around the expected profit. But I have to be honest - since our costs like referral bonuses and rakeback are based on wager, it's so much easier and safer for us. We've been through moments when not only bankroll lost a chunk of coins but we also had to pay the bonuses from our own pockets and a few such events left us in loss for months.

2. Pausing the investments during competitions. This sounds controversial, but it's pausing only, for one week once in 2 months. It's still not implemented in the code, so no worries :-) Anyway, I think the competitions bring more to the table then just increase wager for a week - they reactivate existing players, they bring new players and get things rolling.
We'll try to think it over, maybe we will not be pausing investments on all competitions, or maybe we'll come out with a different ideas.

3. Yes, ETH will be open for investing too. Finally  :-)

4. Dilution fee - most feedback suggests investors don't mind the dilution fee, but I am still having doubts. From the investor's perspective it's locking funds in the site. I might postpone these dilution fees for some time. I'd be really happy to get your opinion on this. What do you think?

Edit: Other than that, I am really happy the investing is open again. I like the transparency of the site, it's much more community-oriented now, just as it was from the very beginning.

Cheers,
Ethan

Hello,

I just recently invested some LTC (about 9% of the bankroll)
For the wager competitions : why can't it be 50% of usual house-edge to the players/25% for investors/25% for owners with investors at risk. I guess the goal of the whole investing system for the owners is to prevent the risk of players winning bigs amounts, this risk is even bigger for you during wagering compatitions where big amounts are played so i dont really understand why you would assume this risk while the 50% given to the players could just be taken from both. Or is it because you can't cover your exepenses with 25% of the houseedge?

About the dilution fee : I personnaly dont like it because i like to cover myself versus litecoin or bitcoin price variations using short futures on others sites like bitmex so my balance stay quite stable in USD. I may have to cover the margin calls of this kind of sites by withdrawing a part of litecoin (in a case where the litecoin price increase).

I understand the goal of this dilution fee is to have longterm investments but i think there wasn't really any problem about this (even without dilution fee the investors stayed in the long-term, which is even more surprising when we know they were all leveraged).

Is the webiste sustainable for the operator even if the bets per round are low?
No, the reseeding of the jackpots make the operators run at a loss as long as bets are very small.

What do you plan to do about that if the bets amount stay the same?
How many btc was lost or won by the operator for now?
Whats the limit?

Hello,

I would like to invest in the bankroll but since i am not sure to fully understand how this website works i wanna ask you some questions.
I assume there is three groups : The investors, The players and The operator.

When a jackpot is won there is a new one which have a minimal value (like 0.5btc for the mega jackpot) in this case where these 0.5btc come from? The players couldnt wager to "build this jackpot" so does it come from the operator pocket?

Since the house edge is 1% and 1.5% of the wagered amount is added up to the jackpots.
There is 97.5% of the wagered amount given back to the players (if we doesnt count the jackpot).
 But with this info i think that the probability of hitting 2x or more is 48.75% and the probability of hitting 1.01x or more is 96.53%  can you confirm that?
By the way i think that knowing the probability of hitting a number which would be a nice feature.

I see on the site that investors won 6.84btc since the openning of the site.
I am curious about how much was won/lost by the players and how much was won/lost by the operator. Would it be possible to know that?

Is the webiste sustainable for the operator even if the bets per round are low?

you , probably , should know it better than anyone else , mate
since your account is strongly associated with the  site
it is my IMHO , but a newbie account that appears to post about his huge jackpot win out of nowhere on a totally new site is suspicious enough
now you post a "prequel" to the answer by admin , which I suppose , will come shortly  answering to you only , detailing the figures and avoiding the not so pleasant other questions
I can be mistaken , but I do not believe in coincidences and shilling with a newbie accounts is a well known tactics/mistake
investors "making 6.84 btc since the opening of the site" is another figure out of nowhere , admin openly admitted to have used wagering bots , or as he puts it "team members testing the site"
since the site's main feature is Jackpot rolls and we can't see any evidence of them being fair , how on Earth could anyone consider investing or playing there with a minimal bet of 10.000 (25?)satoshi is beyond me

p.s. provide the fairness check of the jackpot rolls, please to silence the critics
the same way you did with the games , they are verifiably fair  all right

Hello,
I have no link with this website, my account is from early 2017, i often come here to read and never post but when i won jackpot i thought it was fair to tell it and that i could withdraw the funds since people could doubt it (me included).

I ask theses questions cause i dont understand how the operators make money now and since i wanna invest in the site i must be sure that the site is sustainable and they dont run out of funds.

I almost never gamble i mainly invest in gambling sites (Bustabit atm) and i sometimes try to invest in other sites which was what i planned to do here
But i played instead cause i calculated here that it was ev+ to play when the bets are low and jackpot are high (which was the case when i won major jackpot).

Hello,

I just registered yesterday on this site cause i calculated it to be EV+ with the jackpot.
I played 2mbtc everyround but it was just for the jackpot and let it play automatically all night. Which gave me 40% of chance to win in case of jackpot.

I just woke up and i saw i won the jackpot (1268 mBTC).
https://rocketpot.io/play/user/Bsky

I already withdrew 0.35BTC successfully but the hot wallet is empty now i am waiting for it to be refueled.
I m going to work i still have 1.01 BTC on the account i ll withdraw 90% of it and continue to play with the rest i guess.
Must say the site look very nice and legit.  Grin

Great Job

Hi guys i also got a code question , this is my first post on this forum. I play bustabit sometimes and i wanted to make a script which get the bonuses.
What i'am trying to do at the moment is to show in the console who cashouts, when he cashouts and the cashout amount.

In the API i see this :

/**
* 'cashed_out': Event called every time the server cash out a user
* if we call cash out the server is going to call this event
* with our name.
* @param {object} resp - JSON payload
* @param {string} resp.username - The player username
* @param {number} resp.amount - The amount the user cashed out
* @param {number} resp.stopped_at -The percentage at which the user cashed out
*/

So i wrote this

engine.on('cashed_out', function(resp) {
console.log('The player ', resp.username, 'cashed out at ', resp.stopped_at/100, '. The cashed out amount is', resp.amount);
});

Result in the console :

The player ghounit cashed out at 9 . The cashed out amount is undefined

So my question is :

I dont know why resp.amount is "undefined"
since it works for resp.username and resp.stopped_at

I need something to show the cashout amounts since i would like to make a script based on this.
Thanks!
