1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [LTC] [PPS] [Stratum only] ltcmine.ru - Litecoin PPS mining pool (2.5%) on: April 25, 2013, 02:24:20 PM
For the past several hours I have been mining at an approx rate of 1000khs but no update no current reward.
Is this expected ?

As for Yipyip, definately an idiot lol....

Rule no.1 in the crypto world is to never leave any decent balance hanging anywhere besides your own LOCAL wallet.dat.
Balt has nothing to do with your friends' lack of etiquette in handling his own cash.

Been using https://lc.ozcoin.net/ myself.
Pretty stable since they moved to stratum.

I found PPLNS to be a bit inconsistent at givemeltc.

I change according to the level of e-drama in the forums Smiley
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC-E hacked? on: April 11, 2013, 02:31:38 PM
BTC-E is way too unstable for my trust. I hate that it's the biggest litecoin exchange (so far).

I always immediately withdraw my coin when im done transacting with it (if btc-e will let me).

A lot of people act this way with BTC-e , it's smart.

There is actually no valid reason to leave your money in other wallets be it an exchange or a pool in which you mine.
90% of the complaints I read on this site are related to people blaming others for their own blind trust in human nature....

Lesson all coinbugs should learn from gold and silver bugs....if it ain't in your possession, it ain't yours.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ozcoin Litecoin DGM/PPS on: April 11, 2013, 02:12:24 AM
That's an indicator for me to disconnect and withdrawfunds, which I have done a minute ago.

Back to secondary pool for now.
Possibly just the frontend misreporting allocations but I don't want to gamble that Smiley
6  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mt.Gox is full of shit, got to go. on: April 10, 2013, 10:49:43 PM
Someone lost big in this hyperbole I can see.

Welcome to trading in a real free market with no regulations.

What alternative exchange do you recommend sir ? The shady Russian one at BTC-E ?

Honestly this post is a farce.....

I feel your pain guys, but again I am left wondering why would you actually allow your gains to cumulate in someone's wallet.
Frequent withdrawal are a must anywhere in the cryptoworld.

If the coins arent in your wallets, they arent yours. Similar to gold bug mentality.

Lesson well learned on the risks of mining without abusive withdrawing.

Do the same on exchanges if you know what's good for you.
This or anything similar can happen on BTC-E or even MtGOX.

Welcome to a free market environment without any type of regulation.

This is the assumed risk of mining in a pool.

I bet none of us wouldve complained about the double gains if the hot wallet wouldve stayed full for a few more weeks now would we.

I can confirm the performance upgrade as it means 13-20% stale to 0% so far Smiley

Thanks for the hard work.

I will mine here for a while as it's the most stable/trustable for me.

12  Other / Beginners & Help / Hi there, obligatory newbie topic. ( also steam ) on: April 10, 2013, 12:10:50 AM
So I have to make a few posts to be considered in the crew.

Also since you are here reading this nonsense,

I am looking to trade the following 2 games for litecoin :

Bioshock Infinite ( steam unlock code )
Crysis 3 ( Horrible EA unlock code i think its origin or something )

Looking to depart with these for 7 LTC a piece at current market rate ( around 35 bucks on a 60 dollar retail price ).

PM or reply here. I am legit, and will send you the code as soon as the transaction gets in my wallet.
Ask whatever you need to get proof of legitimacy.

Cheers
