1  Other / Off-topic / Re: Job Vs Bitcoin on: August 06, 2017, 10:41:46 AM
Hi, I was wondering if I should quit my job and focus more on bitcoins? Because I think it might get me even richer without a job?  Grin
See according to the current news the value of bitcoin has increased a lot since past but there's no saying what's gonna happen next.Job is something you'll have unless you resign by your own or you are fired("no offense") but you'll definitely have one and your payment from the job is for sure.So better continue with the job and focus on btc at the same time. That's my thought about it.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much risk in bitcoin investement ? on: August 06, 2017, 10:36:25 AM
I don't see any major risk in investing in bitcoin now as the current situation but if you are ready to take that risk for a fortune that is worth it.Even i'm thinking of investing in btc now because everyone is seeing a possible future of bitcoin becoming a major sort of currency.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Safest way to keep bitcoins? on: August 06, 2017, 10:33:02 AM
Bitcoin can be stored in offline storage and then connect online storage when we have to start transaction to secure a bitcoin locally. Please note that offline and online storage can be manage in different OS.

We store fiat cash in a physical wallet, and bitcoin works in a similar way, except it's ... What you store are the secure digital keys used to access your public bitcoin .... It's a good idea to use cold storage for the bulk of your bitcoin fortune..

5  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should i invest now in Bitcoin? on: August 06, 2017, 10:28:02 AM
It's totally upto you there is a speculation of bitcoin even reaching 5k$ if it does reach you can be in profit and if it goes down you will have to bear a loss but most probably it wont happen so investing now maybe a good idea.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: regret by not believing in BITCOIN? on: August 06, 2017, 10:25:03 AM
Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency to be created ever. It was created in 2009 at a price of $0.003. A lot of people didn’t know about bitcoin back in 2009. Bitcoin started to become known around the years 2011 to 2012 but most people didn’t believe in it. Some people even hated it. At that time 1 BTC was worth a few dollars. Today one 1 BTC is worth near $2800. This simply means people who bought 1 BTC at $5 made a profit of $2795 today. There are a lot of cryptocurrencies and it’s not too late to start investing.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about bitcoin? on: May 21, 2017, 03:16:59 PM
Bitcoin is a relatively private currency. On the one hand, it is transparent – thanks to the blockchain, everyone knows how much a particular bitcoin address holds in transactions. They know where those transactions came from, and where they’re sent. On the other hand, unlike conventional bank accounts, no one knows who holds a particular bitcoin address. It’s like having a clear plastic wallet with no visible owner. Everyone can look inside it, but no one knows whose it is.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: May 21, 2017, 03:13:18 PM
I don’t think that bitcoin will be ever replaced by any other crypto currency as I don’t see any competition to bitcoin at a moment and even in future bitcoin will keep on updating itself with the demand of people so its hard for any crypto to replace bitcoins.

There is no competition for bitcoin at a moment but it can be changed in future when new technology will arrive and at that time there is a possibility that bitcoin can get replaced by other currency.

i think bitcoin is the most popular currency as majority of people are using it and as you think that in future it could be replace by new currency with the arrive of new technologies, well so i think that when in future the new technologies arrive so bitcoin will also adopt these technologies and update its self.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin be used to support terrorists? on: May 21, 2017, 02:58:09 PM
Recently the spread the of the new malware "wannacry" which hit some 100 or so countries where data of people were locked and to get the data back to the people the organisation demanded 300$ of bitcoin. This was the first i saw bitcoin used for the wrong purpose. As it not possible to know where the money goes who sends it bitcoin can be used for other wrong purposes as well.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best source of bitcoin nowadays? on: May 15, 2017, 06:10:16 AM
There are two ways to get bitcoin-

BUY- Buy bitcoins from the best exchanges who offer best rates and also are reliable.
Earn- You can earn lot of bitcoins through mining. Though solo mining is not profitable hence, people are opting cloud mining which not only makes you financially free but also, helps your near and dear ones in earning passive incomes. But, beware of the scams emerging every day.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should people use Bitcoin? on: May 15, 2017, 06:06:02 AM
Because bitcoin is entirely decentralized, you need trust no one when using it. When you send a transaction, it is digitally signed, and secure. An unknown miner will verify it, and then the transaction is completed. The merchant need not even know who you are, unless you've arranged to tell them.

13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain bitcoin to teenagers or children on: May 13, 2017, 06:04:59 AM
Teenagers cant easily understand what is bitcoin, whats the process, how it works. But I think, the easiest way to explain bitcoin to teenagers that its a digital currency, money online and shows some videos how does it works. Presents some video that teenagers can easily understand.

Yeah and besides of these there is a better way to explain through presentation and practically .
Because practical ways are the real ways to understand without forget in the future .
So to take study about the bitcoin in practical way is a better option for everyone and every category of the people children .
Because practical ways explain us the basic simple idea to handle and give the creativity that what the new thing we can do with it and get more development with bitcoin .
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen if BTC was Banned? on: March 20, 2017, 03:34:09 PM
However unlikely and practically impossible that scenario is I will answer anyway - Nothing would happen that doesn't now just a move from centralized to decentralized. Not sure what would happen to the forum especially the trading and exchange! Guess it would be closed.

* We may lose a few community members a long the way but it would not be a big deal because we probaby would have lost them anyway. The rest would get smarter.

* The solution would be to continue as is but taking better precautions than we already do. Bitcoiners are not stupid (well the majority aren't) Also there are decentralized exchanges with smart contracts in the alt world that can be used for btc as the main exchange.

Saying that imo there will be no ban on bitcoin as they will see it is near impossible to enforce with decentralized exchanges popping up for trading coins and goods. In my mind they could only regulate and ban centralized exchanges and services.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS BETTER THAN WESTERN UNION ? on: March 20, 2017, 03:25:27 PM
Personally I'd recommend using Bitcoin much more than I would WU. Not only is WU a hassle and has additional fees involved, but things just seem to go wrong more often with it for some reason idk.
For buying Bitcoin circle.com is probably the way to go. You might have to get verified, but you just send them a picture of your (real) ID and you're good to go (only takes about a day). If you're worried about opsec or whatever from that just send them to another wallet (coinbase or whatever) and send to g0d from there.
Also when you order from g0d you don't have to worry about BTC price fluctuations. As soon as you place the order he gives you a price in bitcoins, not dollars, so if you have the bitcoins bought already you shouldn't have to worry about coming up short. I would recommend buying and moving the bitcoins to your preferred wallet before you place the order though because your order is cancelled if you don't pay within 30 minutes of ordering.
Also, if the $300 limit on circle is an issue, just have your friend set up a circle account as well. Then each of you should send the coins to the same wallet (coinbase, etc.) and go from there.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin vulnerable? on: March 19, 2017, 07:20:25 AM
It depends what you mean
1) As an example, Is your machine running windows and storing bitcoins in a wallet, open to being attacked? yes, definately, the same as hackers stealing money from your internet banking. A virus or trojan once installed can easily steal your coins. But this is not a vulnerability in Bitcoin.
2) The Bitcoin protocol seems resistant to attacks and hasn't been compromised yet. Individual node machines that are compromised would be ignored by the rest of the network. So I would say Bitcoin itself is not vulnerable to viruses.
However it may be vulnerable to a DDoS attack, I guess time will tell.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between Bitcoin and real money? on: March 18, 2017, 04:03:25 PM
Money is anything used to exchange value in transactions.

Suppose I have a 1985 Corvette and you have chickens.  Also suppose you'd like to have my car.  I may not particularly need chickens, but if I know that pretty much everyone else wants chickens, we will be able to agree on a number of chickens to trade for my car.  I then trade other people chickens for things that I want from other people.  The chickens here are acting as money here without being currency.

Currency is a specific kind of money, often called fiat money, that is established by governments to centralize an economy onto one kind of transaction medium.  In most, if not all, systems currency takes the form of coins and paper bills, though this is quickly being reduced to balances stored and dispersed on credit/debit cards.

In common use, though, the two are more-or-less synonymous.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where to Invest BTC? on: March 18, 2017, 03:54:15 PM
For large btc investment you can now use BIT, The Bitcoin Investment Trust, now listed at OTCC market, open-ended trust that is invested exclusively in bitcoin and derives its value solely from the price of bitcoin. It enables investors to gain exposure to the price movement of bitcoin without the challenges of buying, storing, and safekeeping bitcoins.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin 20 Years From Now on: March 18, 2017, 03:40:54 PM
I think that, in the future, money will be just information stored in devices. But I do not think it will be Bitcoins as we know it, because those are not very traceable and it could lead to unlawful actions and tax problems.
