Hi all, I just joined & spotted an alert about a Bitcoin ASIC scam elsewhere in this form:

...I'm interested in getting started with mining, but am concerned about how to avoid getting burned.
Any help or suggestions really appreciated.

1. Read more.
2. Try out mining with the computer and video card that you have, and then decide if that's really how you want to spend your time.
3. Then, when you fully understand how bitcoin and mining work, decide if mining equipment is how you want to spend your money.
Thank you for the tips. I've been reading about mining for 15 days flat and am ready to take action - I was just knocked by the scam noted at
