1  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] hashrack.com not awnsering refund calls on: February 15, 2014, 02:58:36 AM
I've been sending hashrack emails for months now, requesting a refund, with no response. Maybe the contact form is broken on their site, and they've never received my request. But doesn't seem very positive.
2  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The ASIC device scams are getting a little fancier. on: May 24, 2013, 01:19:30 AM
I have family in that city.  I just might have my brother in law pay him a surprise visit.

That'd be awesome... let us know how it goes.

Both.

is it getting money into gox?  or out of Gox? or both?
5  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MtGox account in the USA has been seized by the DHS? on: May 14, 2013, 08:07:28 PM
So far we have two users with a handful of posts to their name posting the e-mail version with account seizure mentioned, and others posting different e-mails. I'm not convinced yet. Also, it's dwolla, not mt gox's bank accounts.

I depends on what user was trying to doing.. I have gotten one of those emails too.. it's not Dwolla, it's certainly Mt. Gox. that got seized. My email was in responds to trying to get cash into Mt. Gox., thru Dwolla:

As of 12:13 PM on 5/14/2013:

Due to recent court orders by the Department of Homeland Security and U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland seizing the account of Mutum Sigillum LLC (“Mt. Gox”), Dwolla will be unable to complete your recent bank transfer to Mutum Sigillum LLC and any future transactions.

Instead, this transaction will be routed to your Dwolla account on its scheduled arrival date and time. These funds will then be accessible to you.

Dwolla is not party to this matter nor does it have any information or further insight into the situation. We strongly encourages those with questions to contact Mutum Sigillum LLC

We will continue to assist our users to the fullest extent that the law and company resources will allow.

Note: Dwolla requires a court order before honoring requests such as seizing funds or revoking access to an account.

On behalf of Dwolla, we apologize for this inconvenience.

Thanks

I cannot see much reason to join them until BFL ships.

What is the difference between buying a hashpack now or after BFL ships?

They currently have hardware on order.. so you'll be hashing earlier unless you wait too long to buy and all the GH/s have been sold for the hardware they had pre-ordered.

He's just ordering from BFL, you're better off ordering yourself from BFL.

They have pre-orders in already, so hashrack will be hashing before anyone who orders now receives their hardware.

Well, I took a gamble and bought a 2500 Mh/s... The site is clean and has a good feel about it... gives me confidence in their technical ability, and I just like the concept. I'm also throwing my 650Mh/s of mining power into the pool... what the heck Smiley The worst that can happen is that I lose a little money.. but the best is that I'm a part of something pretty cool and make some money! So I say the upside outweighs the possible downside.

I joined. I like their site... seems to be implemented well and a venture worthy of supporting. As for profits... its hard to say, as it will depend on factors that exist at the point the hardware goes live. So same profit risk as ordering any mining hardware.

Especially - what is the EASIEST & CHEAPEST way to get $ off of BTC-e?

I'm wondering the same thing... I've used coinbase.com, but they won't let me buy coins until the 17th! What easy ways exist to buy coins?

16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: exchanges are really hurting bitcoin on: April 11, 2013, 05:06:28 PM
I just don't get this... shutting down when the price drops. I've only been dabbling in this, but let the market drop.. I mean, it's a market, right! They won't let it drop below $100! Come on. I imagine if they just let it go, then it will drop who-knows-how-low... and everyone with a weak constitution will get out of the market, and then it will be allowed to grow again at a reasonable pace.

Planning to go live within a month. Depends on how fast we integrate the payments. I can't disclose the site yet. I will do once we are ready  Smiley

Can you send me PM when you go live, so I don't miss your post? Thanks!
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitpay vs mt.gox on: April 10, 2013, 12:17:36 AM
Yeah. We have been in business for many years. Not in the bitcoin world though.

This sounds very interesting to me. When do you plan to go live? Can you share a link to your site?
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitpay vs mt.gox on: April 10, 2013, 12:07:48 AM
Yes, the casino will have 30+ table games, 3D roulette, 20 slots and 20 scratch cards. It uses Mersenne twister for randomization.

Nice, do you have the games already developed?
