1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin Gold parity is meaningless on: March 16, 2017, 09:53:21 PM
what you are comparing doesn't make sense to me man, if you want to compare the lowest unit, you need to compare 1 satoshi with 1 mg of gold, or even lower than 1mg like 1 nano or pico, and bitcoin would end victorious anyway, it's better for me if we compare the marketcap not the single unit, but even so you have a different number of supply, it's really nto comparable correctly

Im just using minimiun measurable and (tradeable) units.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Why Bitcoin Gold parity is meaningless on: March 15, 2017, 11:41:25 AM
New Fix on this calculations,

I do apologize for using the wrong minimun tradeable unit for gold. One person here post the correct unit, and is the (Grain). That is equal to (0.0648 gr)

so the calculation is this:

Real Values are:

0.00000001 BTC = 0.0000125 usd
1 grain Gold          = 1.24 usd

The gold is still 99337,26 times greater.

Right now we are seeing a lot of news with Bitcoin pariry with gold. In my opinion this parity doesnt make any sens and im going to explain why.

First just to clarify im got no relations or hold any gold. for me is an impractical way to store money (for security reasons).....so the price of bitcoin is higher than gold, but the thing is that we are using the wrong units to measure this, the actual parity is 1 BTC versus 1 onz  of gold, but this are not the real values, why:

1 BTC i qual to 1.00000000 BTC and the minimiun measurable and tradeable unit of The BTC will be 0.00000001 BTC, equals to (1250 usd, actual value of BTC) 0.0000125 usd.

1 onz of Gold is iqual to 28.35 gr so the minimiun measurable and tradeable unit of Gold will be 1 gr (1 gr Gold round) equals to (1201 usd ,actual value of Gold) 42.36 usd.

Real Values are:

0.00000001 BTC = 0.0000125 usd
1 gr Gold          = 42.36 usd

Right now of course nobody trade 0.00000001 BTC but if look into the future and beleave that BTC is going to be part of the normal trade life like gold for example, we are forecasting that 1 BTC is going to be iqual to at least 4236.000.000 usd, and this big number is the result for 0.00000001 BTC when the BTC =1 gr of Gold.

We are seeing that the mainstream is using this units and the bitcoin mainstream comunity too. Do not fall in to this. This "Gold Support" is not real.

i apologize for my english.

This is my humble opinion...regards and good luck!

But You have to work on wallet sync issues and miner.
I dont see any real efforts lately

Not to worry my friend new algos always have their little bugs at first. The wallet syncs up fine and that restart bug will be fixed.I experienced it last night myself after encrypting my wallet and restarting it  and started to panic thinking I had lost it all..Lol

I was like

Any news for a GPU Miner?

The price is very low now: it's the result of people dumping the giveaways. Miners will not sell at the current price.
As soon as the giveaways are gone the price will go up; if you wanna invest, this is the right time to buy.

TRUE!!!

Stop the giveaways.... because the easier to get the coins the less will be the value, and them there will be no profit in the gpu mining. this is simple mathematics. Wink

I wrote the HMQ1725 sgminer you guys are using. I see many reports of rx series cards not working (all HW = hardware errors).
Unfortunately I don't have such a card and, thus, I can't debug it.
Maybe someone can donate a card, even a cheap one, so I can fix the code and even optimise it a bit.

I can give you a 8800GTS.... Very old though!

Thanks but I need an rx series, polaris chipset, rx 470 or 480.

We need the AMD sgminer update , with more people mining the more are the chances to get into Poloniex!!....and that meas PUMP!!! for the holders.

Having issue with miner. No shares being submitted. Ideas?

I finally could set the miner im am sure that my user and my pass are correct, but no hash info is show in the pool...any ideas???

You have all hardware errors (HW). The shares are failing cpu test. What cards?

basyaru please run latest daemon ASAP.  If not, we will ask miners to abandon your pool.

Nanopool should be considered hostile at this point. (1. stealing hashrates, 2. DDoSing Suprnova and then 3. the time-attacks) I think it makes sense for every miner to abandon them.

Im unpluggin 4 rigs from nano just now!

Hello,

I totally agree with your statements about the pools and the new monopoly of accounts, i was mining since the beginning and thats was my first time that i mine a coin directly into the block....was amazing!!!....until the pools arrive.
Thats why im going to ask i stupid question....is possible that you guys ban the pools at this stage?, i now that this could have a negative impact in the price of the coin but i mean the coin is very young and i think that you guys could do a real change of game if you do this.....f... the pools!!

Sorry for my english by the way.

Regards and good luck!!!....ill be mining here Smiley
