1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Vertcoin - 1 | ASIC - 0 | Lyra2RE | Decentralised | GPU Mineable | Open Source on: August 10, 2015, 03:51:05 PM
Anyone else having 50%+ rejected "share above target" on verters? Should I switch to another miner or something? I didn't have any problems until like half an hour ago  Huh
Try another pool with your miner, if share above target happens that would be consistent for all the share, not 50%, at least that's what I had when changing the setting of sgminer.
2  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Next difficulty ~1.65B? on: January 16, 2014, 09:13:22 PM
Next difficulty 2,356,198,387 (+31.66%)Shocked

the increase is insane for the past few weeks.

just noticed lots of ppl listed their usb miners on ebay at ~$25 per stick, there are now over 200 listings.

use afterburner to increase the fan speed manually, I have same problem with my 7870 and manual speed solved the overheating problem.

I would pay $20ish for a block erupter, Anymore than 25 and you've lost me as a buyer.
with today's 30% difficulty jump, I don't see anyone would make back ROI on erupters, $10 would be okay, $20 is too much for 300MH/s of erupters

What's the best alt coin to point these guys at when btc difficulty is too high?
use coinchoose.com, there you can check all the alt coins
Someone mentioned it must be SHA256 right?
be is sha256 only, coinchoose has sha256 and scrypt comparison, so far btc is the best coin for sha256

Hi, eleuthria, I just noticed you removed the average for last 200 shifts and put the luck % on, could you still have an average for, say 100 or 200 shifts at PPLNS stats page, that'd much easier to have a rough idea of the number of BTCs I'll get, thanks Grin

I have issue with 5xxx and 6xxx cards paired with 7870 in my setup, the problem is guiminer would reject the shares from 5870 cards saying it's hardware failure, did a search on goggle and found that lots of people are having same problem, I ended up with building another rig and throw the 5xxx and 6xxx cards in, and use the first rig for 7870 and 7950s, I think it's the latest drivers for 7xxx cards are causing the 5xxx and 6xxx cards to get wrong results, this is definitely a driver problem. I'm currently using 11.11 for 5xxx and 6xxx, 13.5 beta for 7xxx cards, both combinations have been working with no problems for a few weeks.

That explains why I saw a -0.005 balance on my account, did a manual payment this morning and now I owe $0.60 to the pool Grin
At my current speed, it would roughtly take ~3 hours to get back to zero balance.

I would say the pool is having seriously bad luck tonight, just saw a single digit of blocks from a shift ended in my PPLNS stats Sad
12  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: AMD 7790(GCN 1.1) on: May 02, 2013, 10:44:56 PM
just got 7790 from powercolor a week ago, the hash rate I have with -v -w 128 -f 60 is ~260M, this card has the core freq of 1075MHz, while with -w 128 -f 60, it's showing ~244Mh/s, with -v -w 256 -f 60 I got exactly ~260Mh/s, this card is really quiet so I put it in my desktop and can barely notice the noise even I'm surfing while mining.

39Mh/s is only giving you return of ~$0.25 per day, so it's probably not worth it.
