1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Google Ban Crypto Ads? on: March 21, 2018, 07:57:49 AM
Not surprised. It is to be expected from any government backed company, even in the private sector.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: February 06, 2018, 10:41:27 AM
Question regarding the Airdrop:
I've moved my BTC to a segwit address (starting with 3..). The chatbot gives me the following response:
Quote
Only P2PKH addresses (those that start with 1) can sign messages. You can prove ownership of xyz only by microtransaction.
My question is: How can I make such a transaction? What is the address that I've to send to?
Has anyone successfully registered a segwit address with a micro transaction and can give me some guidance? I've checked the Byteball Wiki but couldn't find the answer there.

Segwit addresses are not supported because SegWitCoin is not Bitcoin. You have to use a regular Bitcoin address for linking (the one starting with 1... ).
I have not seen Tony declare something against SegWit.
AFAIK, the reason for SegWit addresses not being supported has something to do with infrastructure in the new Bitcoin network, which at the present moment does not allow sign message.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Its over guys on: February 01, 2018, 01:32:30 PM
This year cryptos will goto oblivion. End of days.

India's unfavorable crypto stance and more countries to follow.

I warned you people 2 weeks ago, still there is time. Get out of this with minimum losses.
The party's never over. lol

But really, I might be a though year for most altcoins, and for Bitcoin it may not be that good compared to the previous one. However, keep in mind that Lighnting Network is very close, and that may mean another bull run at the middle of the year. Before that, we may see some more drops in price.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BEST DAG-COIN? on: January 12, 2018, 12:23:35 PM
Directed-Acyclic-Graph is the fastest solution I'm aware of. However, it doesn't beat PoW in the decentralization aspect of it.

But to answer your question, I find Byteball to be the DAG coin with the best development and network structure, when compared to others. It's also the airdroped coin with the widest distribution I've ever seen (for over a year at this point).
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: January 10, 2018, 05:39:23 PM
No, because regardless of how fiat will perform in the future, the lending business will always exist.
6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't Spend Too Much Time Trading? is that true? on: December 22, 2017, 11:15:41 PM
i'm one who spend too much time for trading. I made so many stupid mistakes because of thinking emotionally instead of logically. Cry
what is your opinion?
It's not that you should not spend too much time trading, but you should only trade when the time is right, when there are opportunities in which the risk/reward ratio is not that bad. But to catch these opportunities, you still need to spend a lot of time monitoring the market.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What the hell are Crypto kitties? on: December 06, 2017, 05:16:30 PM
Is this what is causing these delays that people are talking about?
If that's the case, how can their blockchain handle applications that requires 100x more capacity than this?
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: November 24, 2017, 01:59:40 AM
12 witnesses its other part of a Grail- thats may be a bad step in future for future investors
I think it's not that bad, since they can be chosen and replaced by the community.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LTC price 100 USD? on: November 17, 2017, 09:41:15 AM
Litecoin is one of the few decent cryptocurrencies, but I don't think it is a good moment to invest in it. There were already major bull runs this year, and the chart doesn't really look too good.
10  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What I'm doing wrong? on: October 17, 2017, 12:33:23 AM
You probably need some marketing. Although it is a cool website, I myself only heard about it now, and I'm frequently visiting this forum. You might want to run a signature campaign or something like that to bring more users to your website.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: October 06, 2017, 03:45:17 AM
It's a bit too late for such a drastic change. However, I agree it's a good idea. It's something to be explored by future projects choosing to go through the airdrop way.
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what do you think about pump and dump? on: September 29, 2017, 09:43:24 AM
The pump and dump is one of the beautiful thing in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies because it will help us to earn money through trading and it is easy to take advantage since the markets of cryptocurrencies are always online 24/7 so it is a great way to make money.
It's a beautiful thing for a minority. But people underestimate the number of people who lose money on it. Even in regulated and more stable markets, like the stock market, more than 90% of traders lose money. It's not for anyone.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most profitable altcoin to mine? on: September 29, 2017, 09:38:46 AM
Nevermind. From the information I received, people are not being able to withdraw their coins. It's probably a scam.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Top 3 Coins in Terms of Technology and Why? on: September 21, 2017, 06:55:49 AM
1. ETH - smartcontracts.
2. Monero - anonymity.
3. Byteball - DAG and just like it! Cheesy
You have some very good choices. I would make some modifications though...
I would not include Ethereum, at least not before they bring a plausible solution to scale. And since the OP did not restrict the list only to altcoins, I would include the king of crypto:

1. Bitcoin: Best permissionless, borderless, censorship resistant cryptocurrency.
2: Byteball: Best scaling solution, built-in chat, bot store and conditional payments.
3. Monero: Best anonymity features.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOTA HACKED!!! on: September 21, 2017, 06:29:15 AM
OMG. That's really shocking news. IOTA such a promising and growth coin in crypto market. It's really hard to believe that IOTA hacked. Hope IOTA devs are find a way.  Sad
They have a lot of problems to solve, but I don't think this is one of them anymore.

This happened more than a week ago, and as far as I know, the problem was already patched.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: September 21, 2017, 05:04:25 AM
whales in control of a huge percentage suck balls in the end.  Cry

Reason of this failure was that airdrop allowed exchanges and big BTC holders like ICONOMI or ICO projects to participate. Exchanges were not allowed, but actually they created non-exchange-looking BTC addresses for this purpose.

I guess dumping will go on for quite some time till those big byte holders complete selling.

Perhaps Tony could have laid some freeze mechanism (airdropped bytes (or big part of it) are frozen for at least 1 year). That might have created enough time for technical and business development.

Chasing commercial partners like in 10% payback program at this stage looks a bit late to me.

But other than that, Byteball do not seem to have any big problem. Recently joined programmers may bring some surprise  Roll Eyes
You have valid points, except in relation to the exchanges. Tony used some very good mechanisms to prevent this from happening.

One of them was to reject addresses with high frequency of transactions. The bot automatically reject addresses with more than 50 transactions in the last 3 days prior to the linking (except by signature, in which case chances are high that you are the real owner of that address).
17  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin has defeated gold on: September 21, 2017, 02:40:39 AM
Isn't the gold marketcap in the order of trillions of dollars? I think there is still a long road ahead before Bitcoin overcomes gold.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Mining Farm in China be Closed? on: September 21, 2017, 02:27:04 AM
As we know, mining has become a highly specialized busisses, which means these guys take it seriously.

Miners will continue to mine while there is money to be made, whether legally or illegally. Some of them may also leave the country.
19  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I stop Buying BTC? on: September 21, 2017, 02:15:19 AM
If you think Bitcoin will have long term success, buying it at the current prices is not a bad idea. Think about it, having long term success means that at some point there will be not enough Bitcoin for every person on earth. Most people would have fractions of it, and a whole Bitcoin would be worth a small fortune. But that's too much speculation, so do your due diligence.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can anyone explain why it is bad to to buy Bitcoin with Credit Card? on: September 21, 2017, 01:25:14 AM
Because the fees are insane. In most cases it will be better to wait until you have the money in hand and buy it in the conventional way.
