Was worried that was the case. I just can't decide whether to exchange BTC for Ethereum.

Ok NOOB question but for all these bitcoin holders who haven't quite got their head around the fork..

Say for example I have BTC with a value of £6000 in total and after the fork the amount is split into two, BU and core coins.
Is it split into £3000 worth of BU and £3000 of CORE or is my coin total doubled? £6000 of each?

Via BTC  responds with 'Submissions are beyond limit. Please try later.'

They seem to be making a stand against censorship and people trying to mess with the fundamentals of BTC in a message also.

If i give someone bip32 public key can they send me BTC to the wallet it is connected to?

Yeah accelerator works well. This is getting frustrating though even after paying higher fees it seems to becoming a daily occurrence.

If I  want to send money to the U.S.A from U.K for example it takes 3 days and a £10 fee roughly using a bank transfer. Btc used to be like 30 mins and a fee so minimum it was basically free.

Now i can wait up to a day sometimes with an increased fee. BTC still has an advantage in many ways over banks but slow transactions and high fees is not why I used to love BTC. Sure increasing value over times means BTC is a good investment if you do not spend more than you can afford, but still its worrying.

And there is no global team of people who can say ' yes lets hard fork ' yes Segwit ' e.t.c. But then that is why BTC stands out from banks. Everyone has their say. But it seems like the community and miners can't decide what to do.

It feels like BTC is kind of stuck.

Would you say transactions to and from Blockchain.info are faster than using electrum wallet. I know electrum is safer as it is not an online wallet but I would be interested in peoples views on this.

Beginning to think i have the wrong electrum version or something there is no ' i already have a seed'

And there is no ' reinstall wallet ' just ' create a new wallet or ' restore wallet.

I deleted my wallet files and not electrum is this an incorrect step?

As i restored and there is no balance

Ok I open electrum.

It tells me it could not find an existing wallet.

What do i select now,create a new wallet or restore wallet/import keys.
 
And then which wallet kind?

Thanks for your help so that creates a new wallet where I can move coins in and out and the coins I currently have are lost basically?

Please help I have the seed but I am worried the balance is stuck.
