So yeah, is funny cause he was also a Mod for PD im sure hes not anymore.  Is the reason why he a loan from me.  Other should come out, about the loans he took.  I got mine back but is because I had him send it to a a guy on local bitcoins and the guy released the coins after a screen shot like that and I got them.  So I dont know if the bitcoin seller got scammed.  I luckily got my bitcoins.

Zolace, I almost wonder if that was his game plan, to make good on 1 loan in order to gain trust.
5  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer Ni| or Nil on: March 27, 2014, 03:24:38 AM
He was a mod, and he was even in charge of the quiz wallet at one time. Ni| has one day to give back what he stole. Thank you demonz for the additional information which re-enforces what I'll be dropping off at the local FBI office here in DC.

Additional Information. I found out his supposedly last name. Called the hospital. No one there by that name

Caution: Ni| (forum name)

               Nil (Primedice)

Skype name: Commission.trade

The Story: For a while now I've been hanging out in primedice. Getting to know a lot of people there. One of these people was Nil. For several months we've been talking off and on. Getting to know each other, but not really sure if I can trust any of the details he as given me. He supposedly in the hospital with cancer. However, I believe this to be a lie to conveniently escape with the money that was a loan.  he using people good nature and sympathy to get money. Since We had been talking. He asked for a loan of BTC. Since I consider him a friend, and he was trusted within the primedice community. I loaned him roughly 2 BTC. His claim at the time was that he never had a loan out. [Sunday, January 5, 2014 1:16 PM] Jay: never really had loans

Send to this address 16ziRC8Swvt6t8JNcRgH2HWLJM5nZhafh8.  After a failed wire transfer. He supposed sent it via western union but never gave me the mtcn, and disappeared shortly after I said I was near lenox hospital. Where he supposedly was at. He since then still be logging in regularly to btctalk, and online via skype.

So, I did some additional digging for information. I started to ask around. I found others that had loaned him money. I will leave it to them to come forward. However, I also found this: https://localbitcoins.com/forums/#!/fraud:be-all-aware-off-a-guy-jayn

The one detail he did say to us that his real name was Jay, and if you look at the report here. Sure enough. Commission.trade skype name.

So yup possible
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: March 18, 2014, 12:32:45 AM
can only be used for their site

You realize you're talking about ypool, right?

yes, and Ypool miner only works with Ypool Tongue
and they have their own coins too... (or very close too..) which sounds pretty far away from any ideal behind crypto...

My point is the miner has to customized for each coin. that is a lot of work. So, anytime a coin is added. a new version has to be made. as I said..easier to make a mining pool with a fee.
I will tell you my crypto weekend: I did several laucnh: 10-5; Hirocoin, Shacoin, europacoin, rhinohorn
Good luck keeping up with that... (and most of it in solo... of course not all with nvidia, but it just to say).

Actually this could be done with some special new coin known to be profitable where an address could be hardcoded, but again we miss the launch (which is mainly the only time it is profitable for small miner) because the wallet are released at the time of the launch but that would also require to rewrite everything such it is not opensource (have no idea what it means... like if you can verify when you only give the binary  Grin)

Honestly he should make a bootable linux version. With auto donate similar to peonminer, and smos.

Learn to program in CUDA if you want it that bad.  Christian doesn't owe us anything, if anything we owe him.

0.4 BTC is all I made off HVC so far - and that was before everyone else jumped onto HVC with their AMD cards.
So even with this first mover advantage this was NOT a maxcoin event.

It's just not barely worth it anymore. Today the payouts have gone down by factor 4 due to all the AMD miners coming aboard.

We're working on something better now.

Christian

Christian, for great future times to come: Have you ever thought about making new Cudaminer releases fee-based? Seems to work fine for all those miners at ypool.net - nobody has a problem with built-in x% fee for you (as long as x <= 5 I guess), and you would probably benefit much more than mining on your own. If a few hundred people use their miners, and you get, say 4% of what they dig, summed up it should be some nice profit for you! And you don't even have to waste your own power, instead you can concentrate on the next big thing ;-)

What do you think about that?

Greetings from Nuernberg!

It would be to much work. Since xptminer tends to be for a specific coin, and can only be used for their site. He have to make a new version of every coin someone wants to mine. He'd have an easier time setting up his own altcoin pool and charging a fee

I played a little bit on the site. A few major things that should be added.

Instant updates. Whenever I roll, it takes the balance a few seconds to update. It also takes a few seconds to update the My Bets section. These should be instant. Also there should be an option to change the user seed, or it IS NOT provably fair!

You can change the user Seed nahtnam Smiley Under the Fair button
