This can be a fun place but it does tend to bring out the scumbags too.

I haven't noticed any scum here.

I really wouldn't wish California on anyone...not even the mayor.

Skid row seems charming enough. Seems like you can just sleep anywhere.

Hollywood boulevard's also good for sleeping on.

Bitstamp's not getting sold, but maybe some other exchanges will be. That video game company has denied it's buying Bitstamp.

Video game company Nexon Korea has denied that they are in talks to acquire the Bitcoin (BTC) exchange Bitstamp, local news outlet The Korean Herald reported yesterday, April 25.

The company’s denial comes after Business Insider wrote yesterday about a possible deal rumoured between Nexon Korea and Bitstamp, where the latter would acquire the former for around $350 mln.

Thats the same guy who dumped then pumped very high bitcoin last weeks, hes doing hes last rebuys around 8650$ then the big pump gonna start by him also.

Just small bear traps inside big pumps.

I predict at least 50K Before end of this year and 20K in less than 2 months from now.

Where did you get the inside scoop?

From out of his ass.

That reminds me of another chart that I doubt anyone here has seen before.

It's in Japan. At least there are no forks.

 Roll Eyes Lips sealed

There are chorks (chopstick forks) though.

And there are also fork chops (chopsticks with a fork).

Ok.... can we at least agree that there is no spoon?

OK, there is no spoon.

These are probably called spoopsticks (spoon chopsticks).

Luxembourg will also invest in research and development for technologies needed to identify, extract, and process minerals, water, and other valuable space-based commodities.

Stop quoting fake news.  They aren't mining jack shit in space for a loooong time if ever because the cost of production would be enormous.  Your quote doesn't even pass an elementary common sense test when they talk about "mining water" in space.  We are not hard up enough for water where we need to spend $100,000 per gallon to mine it in space.

Even if some company like this is actually created, it's just like one of those shale oil companies they have people can invest in but will never ever turn a profit.  Even if gold was revalued to $20,000 and silver to $1000 tomorrow, it would probably still not be doable or profitable.  They would also mine somewhere like the ocean floor or Antarctica long before doing something like this.

CNBC suggests Luxembourg is extending its tax haven status to potential space mining companies. It's creating favorable laws for them and making it easy to set them up there.

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/04/16/luxembourg-vies-to-become-the-silicon-valley-of-asteroid-mining.html

Quote
UC Berkeley assistant professor of economics Gabriel Zucman... said Luxembourg's strategy of creating laws and making room for asteroid mining companies "is what being an offshore financial center means. It's not diversification. It's just extending the logic of being a tax haven to a new area."

In other words, Luxembourg isn't necessarily jumping into modern technology with its support of space mining — it's just pushing into a new industry to extend the laws of a terrestrial tax haven, safeguarded by a sovereign nation, to the land of E.T.

Anybody still holding Byteball? That's one of the few BTC airdrops I never dumped. It seems like it's been tanking the last 8 months though.
Yes bro! My favorite after Bitcoin. There have been hard times with the distribution model but, hey, so far so good. One of the best projects around.

Back to bitcoin, i bought some more. 19th of every month is my bitcoin buying day

It seems like you made some cash if you sold them by the 20 something of every month, there have been a few peaks at the 20s past few months, right?
Maybe you misunderstood me: I don't sell, I am buying only and increasing my war chest. There's no point selling so cheap. I have much higher targets  Wink
I see, thank you for clarifying that.
Just out of curiosity, have you never felt inclined to trade a bit? I mean, not selling your coins all at once but trying to profit some % every now and then while still holding/increasing your wallet? Wouldn't it help you grow your wallet a little more than just by simply holding?
Of course I did, and sometimes still do. But, you see, I prefer accumulation over short term fiat profits.

Don't be tempted to be like pacman7331. Stick to HODLing.

I know none of you give 2 fucks about it. But i'm fucking done with trading. This market is totally irrational just like in 2015 and i'm done wasting money trading it. ...I've lost too much to these fucking greed driven animals of the bitcoin world.... Going back to HODLing.

If I meet a bitcoin trader on the street. I'll rip his scrawny little yappin jaw off.

https://futurism.com/luxembourg-establishes-e220-million-fund-for-space-mining/

Deep Space Industries and Planetary Resources are two of the named companies that will receive capital for exploration of space mining. The fund will be used to finance asteroid survey missions that will be launched within three years. Luxembourg will also invest in research and development for technologies needed to identify, extract, and process minerals, water, and other valuable space-based commodities.

Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its continuing mission: to explore strange new worlds and mine the shit out of them.

Personally, I am not dissing alts; however, I am dissing folks who try to act as if their alt (or the group of alts) is keeping bitcoin going.

Like this?

Vertcoin is the new bitcoin!! Where this gone end?
12  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 21, 2018, 02:04:36 AM

My personal attempts at attempting to clone and modify code to create a shitcoin has given me a somewhat better understanding and appreciation of how Bitcoin works. Unfortunately, my attempts have been unsuccessful, since I really need a step by step guide to code "Hello, world." Probably much better for the community that I never succeeded.  Cheesy

So you weren't responsible for bones coin?

Before spice you could be pretty sure you were buying pot. How do you know what you are buying today? It could be regular pot with some spice mixed in.

Unless it's government regulated like in California you can't really be sure what you are buying.

You don't buy pot which is ground, it has to be a nice looking "cone" and have the right smell, everyone who has even a bit experience would tell the difference. Spice is always ground to dust so it could be mixed with anything. They even add some kind of varnish to make it weigh more and become more addictive.

Spice also comes in a liquid form. It could be sprayed onto regular pot and you wouldn't know by looking at it.

I agree it should be regulated then everyone could go to a shop they could trust like in some USA states.

Who cares if it’s legal or not?
I can’t imagine a life without social drug use.
Any sane person would care about legality when it comes to the Middle East or some parts of Asia. Their drug laws are completely and utterly insane and only a complete moron would play with that kind of fire.
In Thailand people kept trying to sell drugs to me. I don't do drugs so there was no temptation, but even if I did I would stay the fuck away from that knowing how seriously local authorities take it. Never be underinformed, about anything.

What do you get for smoking a reefer over there?

In January he called it a bubble, then in April he starts trading in it. That reminds me of Jamie Dimon calling bitcoin a fraud while trading in it.

Nice pump.

Should I now sell everything before the inevidible dump ?

No wait until summer and sell before the inevitable dump at $100k/$200k.
20  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 01, 2018, 04:25:08 PM
That $6400 to $6700 pump escalated quickly!
